Do you regret getting your band?
I would not change having my band for the world. It has honestly changed my world. No the weight does not fall off, but I did not do something that can never be undone. I am doing everything I should, for the most part, and I am losing weight at a decent pace. It is a personal choice and it takes hard work. I have no regrets.

September Bandster Check-in
I was banded Sept 28 by Dr Symmonds, Temple Tx and so far I have lost 57 pounds and really hoping to make it to 199 by April! I am working my butt off, literally and it is finally showing. Hello everyone! We are entering month 4 of our journey and I hope you all have wonderful success with your bands.

I'm so cold-is this normal?
I think it is just your body adapting to the reduction of fat. I stay cold now too. I believe it could also do with your iron lvl.

Killeen, Tx
I am also in Killeen, Dr. Symmonds did my band one Sept 24th. I love S&W and the whole team. They are so very understand and kind. I have had two fills, could not get the third cause number 2 was my lucky number. Have gone from a 24 to an 18 and everyday getting closer to my 50 pound mark. Hello all you Killeen Ladies!

Scott & White, Dr. Symmonds
OK. Here is how it works with Dr Symmonds and Tricare. You have been approved to SEE him. On the 15th they do their medical history eval. Then that is sent to tricare for the final approval. You are actually almost to the end of this. Once you do this, within 5 business days you should have your approval and surgery date. Jeremy is very on the ball, he will get with you as soon as they have the OK with tricare. Then Denise will call you about your pre op. You also will have a lifestyle change with Paulette before surgery.

Well, you have to go through several steps. Have you been to a meeting yet?

Scott & White, Dr. Symmonds
Hi, I am just days away from being banded and I am using Dr. Symmonds from Scott & White in Temple Texas. If you are in the Central Texas Area then this is the doctor I would suggest. He is a kind man, his staff is very helpful and nice. He is a VERY busy doctor I will give you that, it took me a bit to get all my appointments, but now I am down to the wire, so I am pleased. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about this Doctor, and I will write more once I am branded. If you have any questions about him or tricare, ask away...I have been dealing with both since May.

Ello lovies!
Hi, many of you know me from the chat room. My name is Tabetha, everyone calls me Tabby. I am a 29 year old mother of two. We are a military family and are stationed in the Hood. I have spend my entire adult life over weight and I am DONE. I hate it with a passion and it is time that something changes, so I m getting banded hopefully within the next two months. I have Tricare and was approved on Tuesday. Going through Scott and White in Temple, and so far they seem like very nice people. Have my seminar June 4th and go from there. I am double the person I want to be. My goal weight is 140 and my weight now is...278.:wink2: God I have NEVER told anyone that. Am I ashamed, why yes I am. I have tried so many diets it is not funny yet nothing worked. Lose some gain back even more. A few months ago I hit the scale and it said 290:cursing: and I said "ENOUGH!" I miss being in shape, I use to LOVE the gym, I love to swim, I love being on the go and I would love to be able to get out with my daughters and enjoy life. I am too young to feel like this and I am too old not to do something about it. Why I finally choose to do this. My youngest who is almost seven is a tiny little thing. She is 4'2" and 53.4 pounds. She is just meant to be small. She tells me all the time how pretty mommy is. But she told me a few months back, "Mommy, I wish you could be skinny and healthy. I don't want you to die.":crying: That is where my journey began. All my life I have yoyo'd with weight. But I thin all of my teen years, not tiny but never over a size 12. But now, I really want that size 8 and I will get there! So, it is time to let the skinny girl that has been hiding since childbirth back out.
