  1. How much did you eat? I think I will try chicken salad tonight. I have everything to make it.
  2. That’s awesome. Today was awful for me so far. I started purée but decided to try really thin oatmeal. I had about 2 ounces mixed with fairlife milk and water. It went down fine and about an hour later it justnfelt like a brick sitting. But since I still needed a protein shake I waited and then had my shake and water in between. And ugh the pain. My whole chest just felt terrible. So I had to lay down a bit. Then I cried and had a pity party for myself thinking wtf did I do to myself. Ugh. I just took a nice hot shower and am drinking water slowly and am smacking myself out of my pity party. So how was the chicken salad. What did you make it with....
  3. Lol it doesn’t taste that bad ???
  4. That’s my thinking. It will suck to burn up a lot of my PTO but I will live ?‍♀️
  5. So glad you are doing well. My one week is tomorrow and I am actually allowed to start purées tomorrow. My follow up is Friday. Yesterday seemed to be a really hard day but I decided to stop being stubborn and take Tylenol a bit more regularly. Now I feel better. And I am able to take much bigger sips so I am shooting for 100 ounces of water. I got in 80 yesterday plus other liquids. I think this made a huge difference because I was feeling shitty before. Not having to take baby sips anymore also helps. As long as I don’t drink too fast I don’t have any issues drinking normally. I think I am going back to work Monday. I was planning on going back this Thursday but I may take another day or two yet.
  6. This sounds amazing right now ... I’m ready for some actual food I guess. Do you make it with water or fairlife milk?
  7. I am going to purée a little chicken and mix it until smooth with light mayo and just try it. If it’s awful I will wait til soft foods to add meats
  8. I’m going to try Greek yogurt , chicken salad, and ricotta bake this week. Last day of liquids is tomorrow ?
  9. I’m having the same except soups but I only measure to track and make sure I get my fluids in. I don’t limit myself. I figure the more water the better. I don’t ever really feel full either but I am not hungry. If I drink too fast though I know it. Or too big of a sip. But nothing tells my mind that I am full. My stomach maybe still too sore and swollen but I am just trying to stay hydrated at this point. Because every morning I wake up and want to chug a bottle of water I am so thirsty lol
  10. I start purées Wednesday also but I have zero hunger. Still have some soreness and bloating so perhaps that’s why. What are you drinking in a day ?
  11. First thing I’m making mid week is ricotta bake
  12. That’s the one incision that hurts me so every sip I take, I can feel it going down. Ugh i was never a sipper either so that’s an adjustment.
  13. I had bypass but I got about 40-50 ounces of water in. No protein except a few sips. My drs office called to check in and she said that’s fine. Just try to get to 64 ounces by next Wednesday and also start vitamins by then. I’m really just focusing on water right now. Today I had warm tea and that went down pretty well and 16 ounces of water so far. So about 24 ounces of fluids ... I’ll try something with protein a bit later
  14. Don’t go back too early!
  15. Well my blurry vision is gone but the pain. I was fine until it was discharge time and now the stomach pain ugh. Between gas pains and what feels like muscle spasms at my two big incisions... ugh go away
  16. Im home from the hospital but I have serious double vision and no one there seemed to know why. I have a hard time typing and reading messages .. so pardon any typos i really hope my eyesight returns to normal. Pain started today arou f lunch and it hasn’t let up. Ugh
  17. Thank you! I will have a heparin shot before surgery so I am not looking forward to that. Thanks for the advice!
  18. Good luck to you as well!!
  19. How are you feeling this morning ?
  20. Lol....I am a wimp. The most I have whimpered so far was getting the iv Well I hope things continue that way for you. I dislike getting an IV a lot. Just because my Veins are **** ?

  24. Are you ready for tomorrow? do you know what time your surgery is yet? I have changed my mind about 5 times in the past hour so far about going through with it. I keep telling myself I am not nervous but this is how I know I am LOL
  25. Here’s a recipe for a crust if you want to try to make your own — you can top it with whatever toppings you like. You might want to adjust for portions. I am pre op for a few more days but I will probably continue to make this post op when I am able to eat these foods. Recipe is for 2 pizzas Large can chicken breast drained and chopped up good 1/2 c Parmesan chz 1/4 c mozzarella chz 1 egg 1 tsp garlic powder 2 tbsp mayo of choice (I use avocado mayo) Salt and pepper Mix well Place on parchment paper and form into shape of pizza crust, not too thick... Bake on 475 for 10-15 min Flip cook addtl 5-10 ( should be held together and crispy) now add toppings Bake addtl 5-10 min
