  1. I’m loving it too so far. I’m making a ground turkey and sweet potato chili right now to try for dinner. Hopefully it is good
  2. That sounds good. But i refuse to go to the grocery store again. While the bastards are freshly dipping strawberries right when you walk in. We don’t have a HEB here...where do you live? In the south?
  3. It sounds like maybe that is it...too dry. I use canned chicken for my chicken salad and just puree it- it isn't bad. Not my favorite but it is edible LOL good luck with everything!
  4. My dietitian said no chicken for at least a month yet...I can puree chicken salad but no other chicken. She said it doesn't sit well with some folks for a while. So for now I had fish last night and mashed cauliflower and I had that for lunch today also. Was great....but I did eat a little too fast and i got a full feeling and it hurt a bit til I took a break and then I definitely ate one bite too much today and I felt the same. Maybe try a different type of food? If you like fish, it tends to be lighter, so maybe try that? I haven't tried a lot of different food but so far things are sitting okay with me...I am sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop so to speak lol
  5. Maybe you need to call your team. You shouldn't be throwing up every time you try to eat.....
  6. If i was a little further out- at least a month I might try a bite of one but nope...not this year- maybe next
  7. haha- that is true also I just got flowers from my coworkers when I had surgery two weeks ago, so I am flowered out
  8. I have one in my office -- love it. I don't have the best green thumb but I try my best to keep it alive
  9. That’s a nice thought but I don’t like flowers. Such a waste of money lol
  10. I'm only going to be two weeks Post Op Wednesday and want a choc cov strawberry for vtines day...but I know I cannot. ? I don't even really like them that much but every year my husband will get me a pack of 3 of them freshly dipped and we share them with our son....nope not this year. boohoo....
  11. I can finally post a before and after. First soft foods meal. Cajun tilapia and cauliflower mash. Don’t mind my fancy paper plate. My pics are flip flopped for some reason...sigh
  12. I am not quite two weeks and still feel it but not as pronounced. It seems to have lessened as the swelling is going down.
  13. I was going to try eggs today but at chickened out Lol maybe next weekend I will try them...
  14. Wow. 3 months seems like so long. I start soft foods and not even two weeks post ops. Everyone has such different plans. I hope things work out for you. Good luck !
  15. My NUT said 2 tablespoons protein and two veggie to get my 1/4 of food in. So basically split the serving. Also, I suggest you try Miralax for a few days before cutting out real food. Good luck.
  16. Do you measure or weigh your food? I can tell if I am getting full ... I sort of feel a tightness or just the need to take a deep breath. Then I know I need to stop. I’m only 11 days post op now so who knows if it will change
  17. I was going to try eggs tomorrow. Now I am scared. ? I have been lucky so far that things are going so well I don’t want to throw up!
  18. I’ve never made curry but I like it. Do you use liquid or powder? I’m completely ignorant about making curry anything except. Thanks
  19. Thanks everyone... lots of great suggestions and ideas. Except maybe the anchovies ?
  20. Thank you. I will look at this too...variety is key for me.
  21. Thank you...I was going to try the fage plain next...not sure what I will add to it at this point but there must be something I can try. Any recommendations on additions that don't add bulk at this point? (basically that I can eat during Puree stage ....powders maybe? ) I am willing to try most anything once.
  22. Can you all recommend your favorite yogurt? I am on puree stage and had some Oikos Triple Zero today but it was too sweet for me. Almost sickening sweet...pre op I liked them but nope...... So I am looking for low sugar and higher protein. I was looking at Sigis as a possibility but was just curious if anyone has an favorites.
  23. Do you have a recipe for the soup? I would like to make that......
  24. Same here...1/4 cup is where I am to start.
