  2. I had multi-incision VSG a year ago...my scars are still very visible and raised, as I have a tendency towards hyper-pigmentation. I wear bikinis, no prob.
  3. So after two whole days of NO SALAD, I finally got my butt to Costco for my haul of greens. I was so excited to eat it, and didn't want to waste precious time by washing my regular salad bowl, I grabbed a huge mixing bowl instead. Ended up fixing myself the GINORMOUS salad below. I've gone through about 1/3 of it so far, and now I am taking a break to digest a little. I totally plan to dig back in if/when this full feeling goes away. *crosses fingers the full feeling goes away cuz i really, really, really, want to eat it* Romaine Lettuce + Spring Mix + vinaigrette + 3.5 oz Grilled Chicken + 1.7 oz apples #yum 165 calories - 20g protien + 11g NET carbs + 4g fat

  5. Day 8: What lesson in life are you most grateful in experiencing? Without getting into too much detail, I learned 7 years ago that when push comes to shove, and no matter how sh*tty I think my situation is, I learned that I am way stronger than I thought I ever was and, until I am dead, I can get through whatever comes my way eventually. ?? Nothing is ever over until its over.

Client meetings all day. Then after work, the belt and cardigan will come off for a night out with friends. I'm lifting the alcohol ban tonight. I need to buy new boots, I notice I keep wearing the same 3 pairs over and over and over again....

Seconded. P.S. Also I don't think dark is boring!
  12. *in best Jedi-mind-trick voice* "This was not the message you were looking for"
  13. Ok, first, you just gave me a lot of reading to do!! Guess I know what I'll be doing for next little while. Second, I'm not sure if this applies, but here goes: I was maintaining around 115-118 with daily exercise and about 1600-2000 cals a day. Went on vacay, and was probably doing 3000+ cals a day with no dedicated exercise (but I definitely walked a lot more than usual). Did this for 2+ weeks. Came home, and after a couple days of weight-loss eating to bring me back to pre-vacay weight, I continued to lose despite going back to 1900-2000 cals and daily exercise. Now it looks like I'm maintaining around between 112-115 (with the occasional outlay due to whatever reason). So yeah, not sure if this is even relevant, just something I noticed in my own experience. EDITED to correct: oopsies I orginally put 1900-2000 cals pre-vacay, it should have read 1600-2000...just corrected it.
  14. Yesterday, Wed, Nov. 6 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 114.2 lbs ...relatively low-cal day yesterday. I finished the last of my salad green stash at lunch and basically just ate grilled chicken for the rest of the day and it was very filling. I need to buy more greens at a time...I finished a costco pack of romaine (6 heads) + a costco organic spinach container in less than 5 days! I ❤️ salad. 9:00am - lemon peppermint tea with Stevia 12:00pm - salad greens w/ vinaigrette + carrots + 5oz grilled chicken + 1.5 fluid oz almonds 4:00pm - 3oz grilled chicken + 1/2 an avocado + 1 fluid oz walnuts 7:30pm - 5oz grilled chicken + 1 tbsp sour cream + 1/2 fluid oz sunflower seeds + 1/2 sweet potato w/ butter + 1 slice of green apple 11:00pm - 2oz turkey jerky Totals: 1272 cals - 106g Protein - 33g NET carbs - 75g fat
  15. Day 7: What book are you most grateful for? Oh, there are waaaaay to many. I love to read. Maybe a little too much. I have to limit my book reading because I tend to pick one up and not put it down, to the point that I won't sleep because I just need to finish it. I can finish a really good novel in 1-3 days (depending on how long it is). Then I need a couple days to recover and catch up on sleep. I also tend to re-read particularly favourite books of mine, over and over and over and over. ...so just so I can provide an answer to this question, of all the books I have in the basement at the moment, I think right now I would like to re-read The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay as I haven't re-read it in a while (I would say it is probably in my top 20 books of all time):
  16. Here's another surgeon opinion: My guy is more concerned about weight loss rather than weight gain after plastics. He said a 15 lb weight gain would make a negligible visual difference, but 5-10 lb loss would/could likely result in skin folding along the scar incision. At the time of my consult, I was 127 lbs and he was not concerned about more weight loss because he said "You don't really have anything left to lose". Well surprise! I've gone down 13+ lbs since I saw him last. We'll see what he has to say next week at the pre-op appt. P.S. A small part of me (a VERY small part) is low-key considering postponing the surgery to give me more time to be at specific weight for a longer period of time. This coupled with the fact that as time goes on, I don't seem to be bothered as much with the state of my skin as I was before. I'm totally walking around naked and don't mind it one bit (Mr. is pleased). ALSO, my plastics priorities are changing. Now I want a butt lift, I think! I guess this is why (some) people say to wait a while after reaching goal to go down the plastics path...
  17. ...have you considered extending your eating window (or shifting it forward/backward as needed) on those days that you get too busy to eat?
  18. YAAASSSSS! Back in your window, baby
  19. Yeah, everyone's metabolism is different. Some, like Kitty, can consume 2000 cals a day AND not do a stick of exercise AND still maintain. I maintain on 2000-ish calories too, BUT I run a minimum 5kms every day + other various exercise throughout the week. I'm sure if I stopped doing all that and kept my cals at 2000, I'd most definitely gain weight. Also: your maintain range is remarkably small! Mine is like a 5-6 lbs spread!
  20. Oh yeah, I dump. Most definitely. I've had real doozies before. I have not-so-fond memories of wanting to die on bathroom floors, simultaneously barfing and explosive pooping, being so weak that I had to be carried in and out of the showers, heart pounding so fast and hard I swear the each beat physically shakes my body. It doesn't happen all the time, and I don't get it as often (nor as severe) as I did before despite me actually consuming more sugar now than then. You would think I would stay away from sugar, knowing how I could react to it. ?

But look at your BUTT!! Are those butt-lift jeans, or have you been hiding one of your best assets all this time???
  22. Sadly body issues don't go away by addressing the body. It's the mind, baby. I'd like to think your (medical) advisers know/knew this. It's a really good thing that you are aware of what's going on with you AND are taking steps to get it under control! You read very laid back and relaxed and accepting about approaching this and that also is a good thing. Good Luck!
  23. The hot honey wings I don't think had any effect. They were more hot than honey, anyway. There was probably more sugar in the tiny taste of syrup I had on the creme brulee. Good idea with the naked wings and the sauce on the side thing though! I prefer dry rub wings over the saucy ones anyway. Blue cheese dip on the other hand...
  24. I had dumping sensations. -ish. I was tired, and mildly icky feeling after the lunch dessert tasting for about 15-20 minutes on the car ride home (it was only a couple bites, but the syrup on that thing was pure sugar). After the dinner ice cream dessert, I laid on the couch for about 45 minutes feeling reeeeeeeeally tired and had a nice (read: NOT nice) watery poop. The poop was likely more a result of the entire day's intake vs. just the ice cream. I can eat quite a bit more than a few months ago, that's for sure. Though it does still take me a relatively long time. Lunch was a 3.5 hour affair of eating (read: picking at food) and gabbing with BFF (it was supposed to be a brunch but ended up being brunch + lunch + afternoon snack). I ate the 5 chicken wings and carrots over about 1 hour during dinner with the Kid. The ice cream I ate while we went for a stroll and on the car ride home...about 20 mins or so? Aside: Now that I think of it, maybe I ate 2.5 chicken wings? When counting chicken wings, do you count by piece or by actual chicken-wing equivalent (1 section = 1 wing OR 2 sections = 1 wing???)
  25. Pretty view! Is that snow on the ground?!?!?!?!?
