  1. Try using a sugar free syrup like torani to add to the flavoring. I too have been using the caramel for coffee.. i have like 6 left. I just ordered some peppermint torani since we are in December and i can make peppermint mocha using the chocolate protein and the peppermint flavoring.
  2. Thats why i said if there were any other issues go with the Bypass.. and if it was weight alone the sleeve should be fine
  3. I chose the sleeve for 2 reasons. One i am self pay.. and the difference in cost is well astronomical. But more importantly when i was doing the research. I didnt want my intestines rearranged. I wanted everything to function as normal. The Bypass from the research i have seen was more for patients that had a great deal of other health issues. I have been healthy other than my weight all my life. I am 49 years old and the only time i have ever been in the hospital was to have my children some 20 something years ago. I would say.. if you have other issues you want to resolve with your health then the Bypass maybe the way to go, but if it is solely a weight issue, then the sleeve should be just fine.
  4. Just had it done on November 8th and am 49.
  5. So question for all! I thought about Joining Planet Fitness today. Its on my way to the dance studio that i can go back to as of December 20th. I figured i could get my workouts in either before or after my dance classes. The only problem and dilemma i am having is.. All i know how to do is the treadmill, and the circuit with the weights. I feel like in the past when i was a member of planet fitness that was fine, but this time i am feeling like i want the one on one trainer all the time to help me push myself to the next level. I want a detailed program going into this, and not just arrive and use the treadmill daily and the weight circuit a few times a week. Thoughts?
  6. I am going to have to try it again. Right now i am tracking liquids and protein manually. I am waiting for my nutritionist to fill me in on daily goal break downs. I am just now on soft foods and go to real foods on the 20th. I am hoping to have some sort of answers by then. Right now.. all i know is i get my protein in, and my water in.. How much i am consuming? Maybe 2 ounces per meal.. but what the breakdown is caloric, carb, fiber, fat wise.. no clue- other than i know i am making healthy choices lol
  7. I drink one of these every morning before breakfast. Today is coconut! Just an FYI- Sam's club sells them in a 12 pack for i believe 15 and change.
  8. I have tried colace and not the greatest. My nutritionist recommended Swift Kriss.. I got it on Amazon and i believe it is all natural. I have taken that on top of colace and it worked. Next time i will attempt it by itself to see what it is that is actually working LOL.. She did not recommend the Smooth Move because of the caffeine. Although, I thought Fiber assisted in the movement of BM's? Maybe I am wrong!
  9. Think of the junk food as the decline to surgery. And how long you have been waiting for this day. 10 pounds from what you have done is the final leg of the race. I would recommend doing a liquid diet for the next week or something as 10 pounds in a week is a lot to accomplish with food.
  10. i have started to eat and put the fork down between a bite or two and wait 5 min before attempting another bite. I was getting full and uncomfortable after 1 ounce and it was taking forever to eat the recommended protein per day.
  11. Mine went up 3 pounds on Monday. I attributed it to time of month coming soon and lack of BM.. I resolved issue number 2 ( haha no pun intended) and it went down a pound.. then this morning i stepped on the scale AFTER drinking a 16.9 ounce bottle of Protein water and was down another pound. I am wondering if i was on a stall, broke it.. or whatnot. I will check again tomorrow. Issue #1 has not self resolved and i was sleeved 31 days ago.. (last time it arrived was night before surgery).. Hopefully i get back on track soon.
  12. I am sorry to hear this. I happened to buy a case of each right before I was sleeved. I am running out though. The good news is I only have to drink one a day. The second good news is.. or suggestion is to get some sugar free syrups, and flavor the vanilla ones. That is what I am going to do with the case of vanilla I just bought. I heard the other flavors will be back out in March or so.
  13. the reason for having it is.. if something happens they medical teams cannot give you NSAIDS nor instert a tube into your stomach blindly so they don't puncture it. They have to see your stomach on a screen now that it is smaller.
  14. Congrats! you got this!
  15. Silly question. Do you know if there are any "soft" protein bars? I have full dentures and things that are tough are just not worth eating. I do not even attempt. I did once and that was the last time. It actually hurt to chew it.
  16. I have always bought some heels and wedges and never wore them. I think it was a mental thing to have them.. who knows if next year I wont actually wear ones I buy lol
  17. That just sounds scary. I had an employee do it once and she was out of work for 6 weeks and then still wasn't herself.
  18. I am in my 5th week post op. When I went to the Dr. at my 2 week follow up.. 2 of the sutures would not come out as the skin overgrew the point. He removed the other 2. He said if they came through to remove them. Last week or so.. one of them exposed itself and came out. This last one was being difficult and it was starting to hurt when my waistline would press into it. This morning I removed the scab.. I know gross.. and I didn't feel anything there.. as I got ready to leave the house and I was getting dressed.. I kept being scratched by something.. I looked down and dang it.. there it was.. out in the open.. Goodbye Suture!!! I surely will not miss you!! Darn.. and the dr said they were dissolvable.. I do not think so.. that thing was as tough as a fishing line LOL.. but glad it is finally gone.
  19. I had my Surgery on a Thursday morning and went back on Monday.
  20. There is a November Sleevers Thread.. You may want to look in there as there are a whole bunch of us who had the sleeve done in November.
  21. I agree on the SF Popcicles. They helped a lot when i needed more liquid and just could not drink another ounce.
