  5. Hello all, It's been a long time since my last post. It's good to see all of the new folks that have found their way to this forum. It was extremely helpful to me both pre & post surgery. My 2 year anniversary is right around the corner (10/8). It was one of the best decisions that I've ever made. I've lost 120+ lbs though I've been in a stall since the COVID-19 lockdowns began. It's been 9 months or so since I've had any kind of pain or dumping. At this point, I can eat just about anything though my stomach is still sensitive first thing in the morning. I can tell that my stomach has stretched some b/c I can eat more in one sitting now. I plan to try a 'reset' and then do some intermittent fasting to get back on track. I'd like to lose another 25lbs. I've said all that to say this, keep the faith, especially you newbies. I know it's hard but it's worth it and believe it or not, it does get easier. Be well and stay safe.
  6. Would love to know if this works??? Also....Can you be more descriptive re: 'Pouch Reset'? Thanks!

  12. I woke up this morning at 350lbs. Down 120lbs since my 10/8 surgery date. My lowest weight in over a decade. I don't know who needs to hear this but keep plugging away, No matter how hard it gets. It's worth it, so keep pushing!

  19. I started this journey @ 470lbs. I'm 5 1/2 months post-op and today I weighed in at 369lbs! I'd like to encourage all the pre-op/recent surgery folks. Stick with it...Follow the steps. It's not easy but it's more than worth it. Good luck and God bless us all on this journey!

  22. Great question & great answers...I really struggle with the whole 'not drinking while eating' thing, However, after reading this post, I'm committed to doing better with it. Thanks to all that replied.
  23. I've lost a little over 70lbs in a little over 10 weeks. I fully expect to be down 100lbs by the 5 month mark. May be wishful thinking but that's my hope!
  24. Every pound is a milestone! ? My next big milestone will be 370. That will be 100lbs down!
  25. I started this journey @ 470lbs. I'm 8 1/2 weeks post op and today I weighed in at 399lbs! This word is for all the pre-op/recent surgery folks. Stick with it...Follow the steps. It's more than worth it. Good luck and God bless us all on this journey!
  26. You'll be fine...Good luck!
  27. Good morning. I'm almost 8 weeks post op and I'm getting sick of plain water, Vitamin Water Zero and unsweetened tea. Can anyone provide any other drink options? Specifically anything that you're buying at the store. Thanks!
  28. I'm 7 weeks post-op and down 58.5LBS. I was off pain meds in 5 days. I've had 2 dumping episodes and have vomited twice (I assume from overeating). I can tolerate pretty much all foods and can even have a martini or two. My only regret is not doing this surgery years ago! For those of you that are pre-op or in your first days post-op, stay strong! It's worth it!
  29. How are you doing now almost a month later? I'm doing well...Pain is pretty much gone, even around the main incision area. Down almost 45lbs...4 week appointment is tomorrow morning...It's the best thing that I've ever done.
  30. I dipped a grilled wing in ketchup. The dumping happened about 3 hours after I ate the chicken. I'm thinking it was the fat rather than the ketchup. Gotta make smarter decisions.
