Orthostatic Hypotension
I have this. A few weeks ago I blacked out very briefly. My blood pressure was measured at 72/54, which is crazy low. Today it was 90/63, which is better. I’m still able to run, but powerlifting with this issue scares me. I try to get up slowly, but it’s tough to remember to do. I’m still thrilled with my weight loss, and with how I feel overall. The dizzy spells are annoying, though.

I love that top! I think you could wear a smaller size, though. And I don’t mind the clunky shoes one bit.

Starting our vacation. Tonight is camping in WA, tomorrow we head up to Victoria, B.C. this shirt is way too big, but it’s comfy for the car ride.

How do you have your coffee?
I used to only like my coffee very sweetened. I’ve worked on lowering the amount of sweetness to none now, with just a bit of cream/milk. My process started with protein shake in the coffee, and I just lowered the amount of protein shake until it was gone, and only a smidge of milk remained. My taste buds got used to it, which I never thought possible.

One of the dresses I’d held onto to shrink into. Everything is stretchy and comfy today - and color chaos.

Has your face aged following surgery?
Okay, I put it in the face thread, but I’ll put it in here, too. The weight loss has left me with an older looking neck. It will probably tighten up some, but it’s definitely having an impact on how old I look. HOWEVER, even if I looked younger before, I think I look BETTER now.

Has your face aged following surgery?
Absolutely, especially in my neck area. I don’t mind, it’s totally worth it.

Spaghetti
I LOVE spiralized zucchini. It cooks up fast, is delicious, and functions the same as “real” pasta.

ModCloth is TROUBLE! They have some GREAT markdowns, though. This dress was just over $20, and it is made very well, lined and everything. The only thing I wish it had was pockets.

Okay, today’s outfit brought to you by ModCloth. This is one that I bought to shrink into, and it came in and it fit! I like the style a lot. Here is a fun tidbit: at my last therapy appt. I talked about dysmorphia issues. My body is changing too fast for me to keep up. Anyway, she talked about me looking in the mirror more with positive statements about myself. This thread is functioning the same way. I can distance out from myself, because it’s about the clothes, while still seeing myself and getting used to the current version of myself. I would encourage people to NOT WAIT until you hit some magic number on the scale to participate. It’s been such a good exercise for me, and it probably will be for you. Also, if at all possible, don’t wait to buy yourself cute clothes. You should feel good about yourself as you lose, don’t wait. It’s not a waste of money, it’s putting in some of the head work as you lose.

Any foods permanently off your safe list?
No carbonated drinks, no alcohol. Limit carbs pretty strictly.

That style of dress looks fantastic on you.

Okay, I was pretty excited for my latest order to come in from ModCloth. I got 3 things to shrink into, and some palazzo crop pants to wear now. Ummm, 2 of the 3 I got to shrink into fit now, and the palazzos I was so excited about are too big. WOOPS! I didn’t realize how too big they are until I was already at work.

I think it might be the length. I wonder how they’d be cropped? That would be easy to do/have done.

Yeah, I rode a few times as a kid. One time I did have a big stallion try to buck me off (brat). That’s one of the reasons that I am starting from scratch, with handling and learning how to horse first. I need to build my confidence up some. Even the one session was really helpful in that area. I’m 46, and it’s NEVER too late to learn something new. I am a major proponent of trying and learning All the Things. It’s just fun.

Okay, I was also on the hunt for some espadrilles, and found some! On sale, even. I am going up to BC next week on vacation, and wanted some comfy, but still cute, shoes. I went with sunshine and flowers for today’s look. Ignore the derp face.

Thanks! It was perfect. I haven’t been since I was a child as well. What I was wanting to get out of the first lesson was to learn more about how to be comfortable around horses, how they communicate, etc. So I learned basic handling, how to lead it around, brushing, etc. I left much more confident. Next lesson we ride. I’m already excited!
