haha, I totally do! I finally got a full length mirror, and I seriously think it's got some kind of defect, cause I can't be that skinny! I asked Dan if he thinks he looks way too good in that mirror, and he responded with an 'Of course, as usual'! haha Thanks Donna :hug:

This happened to me.... luckily I found out that my little hospital had a flouroscope, and made arrangements to have the radiologist 'have a go at it'. It was quite an ordeal, but worked out. I live in a province where the is 1 Dr. banding people (from all over the maritimes, and he's also the only one doing fills (for his patients), BUT, I can not for the life of me see him... he refuses. He's too busy, too many of his own patients. How can they deny me health care for something that's supposed to be covered provincially? Granted it was done elsewhere but would someone who got a pacemaker in Ontario be expected to go back there if they had problems? Doesn't seem fair. I've written to the provincial healthcare, but they never reply. It sucks. I would have gladly driven the 1.5 hours to see him rather than let all the emergency staff get to have jabs at me for 2 hours. GRR!

I just might be up for that Doddie Well guys, I've decided to ditch my old once a week official weight recording. I wasn't just weighing once a week, but whenever I felt good about things, and just 'recording' it once a week. Well... from now on, I'm recording it/changing my ticker whenever it's good, and today it was good again, so I'm running with it!! 155.6 today, baby! On Tuesday, on the Biggest Loser, there was a girl who weighed in at 255, and I thought "Hey, like me!" Weird, eh? Can't get into the "100 and something" mentality.

I do have an inamed band, yup. 1.3cc in a 4cc-er I was feeling really good at 1.5cc's, then I got the complete defill, and when I eventually got back up to 1.5cc's again, it felt like too much, so here I am at 1.3cc. I usually don't feel like I'm at a good restriction level. Well... sometimes I am able to eat an obscene amount, and other times, nothing. I can't complain, as long as I'm still losing, I'm happy... albeit slow, but I guess I am gettin' down there in weight, and it can't always be 2lbs a week. I don't really know what's going to happen when I get to my goal weight or the weight I am really happy at.... maybe I'll need a defill to stop the weight loss?

haha, Leslie... I just assumed you were on Phentermine too! The link's not there anymore, were you able to take it out ? Bandiva: The waking up choking thing, yes.. me too. Not so much anymore, but if I do eat too close to going to bed, it'll happen. Definitely try not eating for a few hour AT LEAST before bed.. it's a good habit to get into anyways, and even more incentive if it's stopping you from choking in your sleep! Drinking shouldn't matter, but it does to me, at least when my night-choking was bad, it did, so stopping drinking and eating at the same time helped. Try it, let me know if it helps. Thanks guys, and yes... i do feel pretty good Donna, Nothing yet... next week is the big week, for Dan at least. Our insider at the company we're gunning for in Vancouver let us know that the company JUST signed a deal for a whole bunch more feature length films, so they will reaaaally be needing lots of people. Hopefully that's the go-ahead they needed to be able to hire Dan. (and me!) The replies to the follow up emails he sent to the companies he applied at while in Ottawa all said they were reviewing the portfolios and resumes they received, and will contact him next week. I will definitely keep posting on here what happens Thanks for being interested!

I'm sure this is covered elsewhere, but anyone know if Dr. Cobourn has any people in the Vancouver area doing fills? (yes, I know of Leung and Woodhead, but I'm thinking if Dr. Cobourn personally has his *own* people, I'd avoid that initial consult fee) He's gotta have someone... right?!

But that's only if this fill nurse/person is comfortable with 'other Dr's patients", which might not be the case. There might be some kind of arrangement with Dr. C, I don't know.

I know Dr. Cobourn has someone in Pictou, and that's who I was seeing up til now... but I don't know that she will do fills on other Dr's patients. Why not call Dr. Yau's office, and ask him to put you in contact with some other Halifax patients.. there's gotta be some, and maybe they can hook you up with THEIR Dr's, if their Dr's are doing their fills? And tell him if he doesn't, you'll just have to switch over to Dr. Cobourn and get his people to do your fills. :rose:

Congrats on your date, I know how excited you must be! That's SO soon, you're lucky!!! And that pretty chick... that was me! Just kidding... but it WILL be, I'm gunnin' for her job!

I WANTED to.. but the nurse told me I wouldn't feel a difference with 0.1cc, so recommended 0.2cc. I was getting that amount removed, and it definitely helped... but I wish I'd just gotten the 0.1cc. I have to travel quite a distance for fills, so I didn't want to risk still being too tight after have that little of an amount removed. I'd say go for it.

(but, I'm always curious.... so, I'll see if they have the protein ones at this store and give one a try, as long as it's not toooo expensive. I'm not a huge fan of protein supplements... I've got 4 tubs of Unjury in my cupboard to prove it!)

You know, oddly enough, I've seen representatives for this stuff all over the place. There's a bookstore near my work that sells little tubes of the gel. I've never really looked at 'em though, and didn't know they had protein ones. I'm sure they're waaay too expensive.

Congrats Jacklyn, on your consult. It's too bad that people are ending up cancelling on Dr. Tin, but hey, I totally understand, I would have too! I would have needed to hear from other people who've seen my surgeon, and not being able to find any would be freaky! There's probably some kind of network of them around somewhere, but hopefully they'll be represented here someday. You don't owe him anything, and why would you take a chance on an unknown, for the same price! when you can go with someone who tons of people have gone with!? Good choice and good luck :car:

It kinda depends who gets the job first! The job Dan would get would pay muuuuch better than mine would, so at least we'd be ok for a little bit until I found something in ON! and thank you :car: The good thing is that now that we're engaged, I don't think I'll get the 'why are you following him around the country?" comments from family! That always made me mad!

Is it normal? Yes! Freakin' out too early? Yes! Will you lose weight after your first fill? Most likely! If not right away, it won't be long. You WILL keep losing! No worries :car: Mandi

Hi Sherrylynn, Did you have a hernia repair done at the same time? From what I've heard, if you did, that could definitely be it. *I* would say it's probably still gas pains or just regular 'just had surgery' pains though. It's only been a couple days, you're bound to still be in some pain. BUT, regardless of what we say, give your clinic a call ASAP and see what they say, I'm sure they'll set your mind at ease. :car: Take care and congrats on your new band. Mandi
