I dare you to be...
I actually thought about doing that very thing the problem is that everyone will want something a bit different. I am sure we could make one that could do just about everything we'd ever need. Might get a bit big though!

Muscle vs. Fat
If you don't have access to those wonderful scales that can tell you everything (except the lottery numbers). This site has a calculator for body fat. http://www.bmi-calculator.net/body-fat-calculator/ It provides the math of the formula so you could even make your own calculator in Excel (I did). This site also has BMI and BMR calculators. I personally don't find BMI or BMR usefull but they are there, if you want 'em.

can't stop eating
If you are trully hungry, try staggering your meals so you eat later in the evening perhaps? I usually try and have my last meal about six or seven at night to get me through till bed time. If you have to eat something, why not keep something thats healthy and filling around and try to eat that first? These are just suggestions, you likely have thought of em. Please don't shoot me.

Suggestion For Adult Board
My viewpoint / questions 1. Can VBulletin (what the board runs on) even support this feature? 2. I've seen no thread topics that were offensive. Even thread topics like XXX Thread for Women only!!. Surely it's only offensive when you open it and look inside? 3. My major concern would be for minors. If young / underage people visit this board it would be no bad thing to at least nominally segregate the threads. 4. If this was put in place, I think there would need to be 'age acknowledgement' and 'legal' disclaimers put in place that certain sections contain adult content. 5. It might not hurt to add that some threads contain adult content anyway - just as part of what you acknowledge when you sign up. I personally don't go into the adult threads because I likely would be offended by the contents. Those are my thoughts.

Bmi?
You can also calculate your BMI with this forumula: Weight pounds ----------------------------- x 703 height (inches) x height (inches) Here's an excel forumula: =((pounds(inches*inches))*703) Here's my stats in the formulas: 270.5 ---------- x 703 = 32.9 76 x 76 =((270.5/(76*76))*703) Now something to bear in mind. BMI is based on 'averages' for a 'normal' human being. Muscle mass skews the calculations. Here's an example. I have a friend, he is 5 feet 4 inches tall. He weighs 240 pounds. So that is: ((240/(64*64))*703 = 41.2 Therefor my friend is morbidly obese and qualifies for weight loss surgery. Now here comes the catch. My friend has a bodyfat of 6%. He is entirely lean muscle (and terrifying) but this clearly shows that the BMI calculation is flawed. So, another good thing to do is calculate your body fat. This compared to your BMI gives a 'more' realistic reflection on BMI. Oh this friend of mine is real. He really is a terrifying creature to look at!

Lucky you let it cool off first. I can see it now.... 1. Explaining to your hubby the really fascinating burn marks on your rear end. 2. Today on Channel 6, Freak toaster oven explosion destroys legal office.

allergic??
I would definately ask if it could be the band. It would at least set your mind at rest. I'm sorry you are going through such a hard time. Please let us know what transpires.

I did it!!!! 50 lbs gone!!!!!!
Thats awesome! congrats!

allergic??
When the body rejects a prosthetic device it could do all manner of things. Having done a little digging, it is rare but possible to have reactions to the materials in the band (much like people can be allergic to latex). Complications from allergic reaction can be extremely mild (like a rash) to extremely severe. I guess the most reassuring part is you should know about allergic reactions pretty quickly. The question thats in my mind now is "how has this question come up, were you informed you were alergic?"

Pizza vs. Watkins Lemon Room Freshener
Chants "Spray the pizza, spray the pizza". I've found popcorn equally hard to eradicate.

allergic??
The body can reject any prosthetic device. If you have a band and are suffering any reaction to it contact your surgeon ASAP.

High Protein
Protein is a major factor for fast healing. The principal being that the sustained presence of protein in your body will help you recover faster from surgery. Protein is used by the body for tissue generation. That's why body builders scoff a lot of protein. It helps build muscle.

Whey Protein Powders
Too much of anything can be bad for you, protein is no exception. Excessive protein can cause liver damage which isn't so fun. However before panic sets in, you'd need to be eating a LOT of protein (like 300grams a day). I doubt you are close to that Your body can also only absorb so much protein so having more than you need isn't really going to help and it will just be additional calories. 60 grams a day is a good level to shoot for, more if you are working out. Your nutrionist can certainly give you sound advice on what to have.

Why do we allow temptation?
Thanks Kare, apology fully accepted. I'm a strange geezer. I'm a bit of a head case. That which I laugh about today, kicks me in the cojonez of life tomorrow. Can't explain it. Don't tread on eggshells. If people start to bother me off in future. I shall give them a PM to let them know that the volcano may be about to erupt. I didn't adequately communicate that this was starting to bother me. I will do so in future.

Why do we allow temptation?
I don't request that this be locked. It's just that I've been feeling somewhat singled out on this spelling thing as it is following me thread to thread. So its a senstive spot for me. I think I write relatively clearly even with an occasional spelling mistake. I'm not trying to throw a hissy fit here. Nor do I hold a grudge. Lets just move on and I'll try and maintain a better level of humor.

Why do we allow temptation?
Okay so if this was all in fun, then I apologise. I haven't been taking Kare's comments as "fun" either. I was giving her a smartass reply for pursuing this rediculous crap in what I assume is some kind of an attempt to make me look like a retard. So I accept your apology Donali. And in your signature "Sign-up" requires no hyphen.
