God is good all the time. I believe as a christian that our healer, our surgeon, our blessings come from GOD.. My surgery is in November and i know it will be a success...It is normal to be nervious and scared . BUT WE WILL BE FINE

I hear you. You *might* have vagus nerve problems, but you might not. Does that mean you shouldn't have the surgery? Let me ask another question: You *might* get hit by a car crossing the street. Does that mean you shouldn't leave the house? No matter what we do, there are risks. Even doing nothing has risks, especially when it comes to our bodies.

Wow. U have gone through a lot... Sorry to hear that. But that past n your surgery was a success. Thank god. Congrats for your new life. This is the kind of encouragement i need. This is the good endings i like to hear at our age. My problem is that I think. That im reading too many posts in this forum and getting scared. Too many posts on hair baldness n loose skin. I feel ugly already imagine me with extra skin and not being able to remove it.

I am 57 and 220 lb 5" 5. I tried to do the sleeve last year and 2 wks before surgery i cickened out. i really hope i can go through with it this time . im scheduled for the end of november. My goal weight is 170. Im scared that my skin will fall alot along with my hair. I already have wings . and flacid skin at my age... N i know that plastic surgery is out of my lead. Im doomed. I will continue with my appointments n see what happens in the future. Very confused

Thanks for your kind words. Letter was written yesterday morning and sent to the surgeon and the practice manager. It was a much shorter and direct version of what I posted here. I also amended my positive Yelp review--kept that general but was very specific about the PA who made body shaming comments. Again, thank you for your support. The responses I got helped me write that letter yesterday morning.

You should be proud of yourself at the strong women that you are and how blessed you r to be where u r now. Hippa can not be violated. There is 0 tolerance for anyone in the workplace or out of the workplace violating patient confidentiality let alone Making fun of a patient . those people should really pay the consecuenses. Probably they make fun of everyone n it shouldnt be tolerated. Confront the b%_:&* n let her know that u heard her and also your son heard. Them. There for u didnt aproach them because you were very hurt but that u. Have made a report against her n you will go further with it until justice is done. Because a person without empathy, without a sensitive heart can not be in the health care buissiness and she should really look into a different proffession. Give her a copy of the report and proceed to give the other copy to her superior. God dont like ugly therefore she should pay the consecuences whatever it may be and you shouldnt feel bad about it. Same here. Today gastro next week endoscopy, september EKG,... And the list goes on.... Surgery is for end of november....excited but starting to change my mind because at age 56. And 220 lb. Im so scared that my skin will sag n my hair will will fall of plus many other things. ....i really wish i had encouragement here

lovely,little stinker,isn't it? JP is a Jackson-Pratt drain, named for the Medical dudes who developed/refined this little rubber fellow. Used primarily in gynecology , Bariatrics, and abdominal surgeries, although I guess a surgeon could use it other areas where he/she expects a surgical wound that produces more Fluid than the body can easily reabsorb. When it is removed, it should not hurt, maybe a tugging sensation, maybe you don't feel much at all.
Now I haven't had my bariatric so don't know if Dr Needleman
routinely uses them in his surgeries The once I had one before, I did feel something. Now no ROFLMAO but I felt. swooshy sensation, like you punched your finger into bread dough and then pulled it out. Still have a teensy tiny bit wider area in my incision scar, yours will not even do that. I had mine,in for than a day or two.
If you have one placed then your Doctor is looking out for you. 😷👍😷
