  1. Well, there goes my after surgery theory. Maybe I craved ice from losing blood during surgery?? Right now I need a root canal and the thought of chewing ice is like torture. :censored: Congratulations on being banded almost a year!! Your anniversary is coming up soon. Don't see a stats page, but I hope you've done well. I'm a rookie at this banding stuff so it's good to hear from some long timers.
  2. I love the Body Fortress found at Wal-Mart. I like to put a little banana in mine. I also like the grape Isopure Zero Carb. MsButterKup ~ I didn't know they made it in choclate....will have to check it out. BTW, I bought a Magic Bullet from Wal-Mart. It is EXCELLENT for my shakes. It's worth the investment IMO.
  3. When were you banded? I had the same craving shortly after my surgery. I couldn't get enough ice. My DH crushed it for me several times in the snow cone maker.
  4. Mandy ~ We will definitely pray for Abigail and for you. I'm sure this is difficult on the entire family. Stay strong my friend.
  5. :focus: We agree once again. Dody, meet me in the PM room and I'll tell you how much I love your new sigy. Go Smoke.
  6. This is a great question and good info.....thanks!!!
  7. No, no, no!! Stop it!!
  8. You mean your son will LET you take his pic? Can't wait to see it. Good luck on your first day back. Sounds like an interesting job. I bet you have seen it ALL. Talk about drama. Nothing like middle school. :biggrin1: Thanks for your prayers!!
  9. That is so funny. :biggrin1: There should be a book on the funny things, or not so funny things, that happen during potty training.
  10. Boy that would take a lot of work, not to mention it wouldn't free up any space. Wait, you said delete repeat answers....that would free up a lot of space. Still a LOT of work.
  11. I agree with everything Susan has said. THANKS from me too!!
  12. True. I see your point. I think some threads automatically drop off after so long don't they? I'm sure Alex doesn't have infinite space. This kind of space costs money that's for sure.
  13. Bettina ~ How did you get so smart? Sounds like good info to me. Thanks for sharing.
  14. Yeah, we're loaded with advice now. Bring on the potty trainers. :biggrin1: I keep those wipes in both bathrooms.
  15. No regrets here. I'm newly banded as Sherri only I was banded at the end of May. Jacqui gives excellent advice. Good luck to you on your journey. Ask lots of questions and you'll be fine. Knowledge is power.
  16. So far so good for me.
  17. Just trying to be clear. Sorry you were offended.
  18. Boy, isn't that the truth!! We still buy those little wipes in the toilet paper aisle b/c it's easier for them than tp at this point. Plus it gets them cleaner I think. Glad to hear all is going well. Sounds like most of us have graudated from the diapers. :clap2:
  19. I'm with you all the way. I'll pass on a volcano.
  20. No one. You said some threads were useless. Don't read them.
  21. I'm going to google that. Don't know what it is. I live in a small world. Oh, I see now. I'm getting "edumicated" tonight. :biggrin1:
  22. NO WAY. Those old threads were valuable to me during my research and preband and post band for that matter. I still find a lot of the info valuable. Even if it isn't band related specifically, it still holds value. People are not forced to read anything they don't want.
  23. Sorry I misunderstood. Like I said, my brother seems to share your views and I guess unless you live there, you just don't get it like the natives do. When you speak of taking care of yourself, that is something the Navy boys don't always do. I'm glad my brother is not "so wet behind the ears" these days. He didn't always do that during hurricanes. Of course, now he's out of the military and married. That seems to help those wild ones settle down a bit. Wow....you have been through a lot. Bless your heart. I can't imagine going through all of that. You have witnessed more than your fair share. When you said volcano's, I assumed it was HI. I never did get a chance to visit there when my brother lived 3 yrs in Oahu. :phanvan To all of you.....be safe and be prepare like Funny said. Like I need to say that. I'm up north. I do have loved ones in FL and watch those hurricane carefully. I'm being a little chatty tonight. :biggrin1:
  24. Can I just say, it's a great day to be alive?! I am just so happy and wanted to share. I got my first fill on Fri and now I feel as though I've gone from a stationary bike to a Harley-Davidson. I have lost 25 lbs without restriction and I can't wait to see what happens next. My scales are finally moving for the first time in weeks. It's amazing. I LOVE RESTRICTION!!!!! I took a walk this evening and it's just beautiful here....currently 73 degrees. It rained earlier today and it was nice to smell the country air and listen to the crickets & cicadas. I was thinking of how fortunate I am. I have a beautiful family AND I'm losing weight. Just ignore this is you think it's corny.....it is. I just wanted to type how I am feeling. I love LBT and am thankful for this site!!!
