  1. I tried the Mango Peach, Icy Orange, & Grape Frost. I didn't like the peach and the orange was OK. I got a case of the grape. I may try a couple other flavors later on. I forgot about the Unjury. I will try that next time. I just tried the Blue Bunny Carb Freedom Yogurt Smoothie. I LOVED the Blackberry Creme. :hungry: It isn't as sweet as the Dannon, which is pretty good I must say. The BB has a few more grams of protein, 13g, than the Dannon. I will probably use both. BTW, are you going to share your future husband with the rest of us. Holy Cow, that man is sexy!!!
  2. lady29bug ~ Congratulations!! We share a band date....5-26. You should come join us at the May Band Crew: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=16512. There are a few others with the same band date. YEAH....it's going to be here before we know it. I can't believe it. I think I need pinched again. Hey Donna, I know love your Cuisinart. Where did you buy it and how much do they run? Also, do they leave any powder in the bottom? I was thinking of getting that Magic Bullet and I know it's a bit pricey, but it has some good reviews. I have a nice blender, but want to buy something just for the shakes.
  3. I'm ready!! Don't you know I woke up with a sore throat on Fri. I called my surgeon and they wanted me on antibiotics ASAP just to be safe. Both of my kids have this cough and snotty nose thing going on. A big part of it is allergies. My PCP got me in and I've taken a 3 day course of that z-pak thing or whatever it's called. Sore throat was gone on Sat, but had a bit of a cough this morning. Any suggestions? I'm going to fix some green tea when I'm done here. I am taking my kids to stay with my parents on Wed so I will be able to get a lot of things in order after their gone.....2 boys can keep you pretty busy. They tried to give all their stuffed animals a bath today....silly kids. What types of protein are you using? Forgive me if you already shared this. :phanvan I bought the Isopure Zero Carb Grape and the Body Fortress Chocolate powder from Wal-Mart.
  4. Diane ~ Way to go on the paper thing.....I bet he is wondering!! Thinking is a good thing for a man to do. Reunions sound great to me. I'm wondering if we could possibly get together and meet....some of us in the northern OH and IN area that is. I'm willing to drive a bit. I'll PM you. Kim ~ :wow2: 10 lbs gone!!! Great job...I am so proud of you girly!! Well, it won't be as long as it has been, huh? A few more days. Myra ~ Have your tried the Chloraseptic spray? Someone on this thread recommended it and I bought some the other day just incase. Also, I bought some of those yogurt smoothies and they are pretty good and go down easy. Best wishes for an uneventful surgery and quick recovery to: taxgirl Wannalosealot Awasaf meedy8r tincat
  5. :bump: for obvious reasons.
  6. :bump: for obvious reasons.
  7. Try rubbing sticky areas with regular cooking oil. It should ball up and allow you to rub off with a wet cloth. Good luck!!
  8. I'm so very sorry to hear about your mum. I just can't imagine what your going through. I will say a prayer for you. :hail:204 lbs.....absoluting amazing!! :wow2: You are my new hero!! I appreciate your pics and I can't believe you are the same person. What a wonderful job......CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :clap2: :whoo:  :mod: :cheer2:
  9. LindaV ~ YEAH!! Good for you!! I predict more movies in your future. Hi Diane ~ I am so thrilled we are going to be May bandsters!! I will be praying for you on Tues. I'm sure you'll come through with flying colors!! Have you checked out the thread to the shopping list? http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=14814 I found it very helpful and think I have everything I need in the house. Michelle ~ I am preband so I'm not sure about the reflux thing. I do know I've read where some bandsters take the Prilosec OTC. Also, have you tried the GasX? Good luck and I hope you are able to get rid of that quickly. That's a good way to put it!! :hungry: You are a brave woman to try the flute....your surgeon would be proud.
  10. Mandy ~ I don't have any answers for you, but your post reminded me of a similar thread. Perhaps it will be helpful: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=16193 Good luck and I hope this will pass quickly.
  11. Excellent info...thanks ladies!!
  12. Jessie ~ So glad to hear your dad is doing better. I will pray for you to have patience and strength during his continued recovery. We kept my strong-willed grandma and I know it can be a challenge. We wouldn't have had it any other way though. Leatha ~ What a great prayer request. I actually was thinking of the tone you referred to today during church. I guess b/c the preacher was talking about how evil creeps in. This is true in all areas. This place is STILL full of wonderful veterans and newbies alike. Let's pray for LBT to be a place of information, refuge and support. I am learning, the hard way sometimes, but like you have said to me....this too shall pass. Bless your heart!! I am so thankful for you and your strength.
  13. Welcome to LBT Jennie!!! It's nice to have you here to share in your journey. This is a wonderful community full of information & support. I hope you get quick approval for yourself and your DH. My DH is getting the band sometime next year. BTW, even though I was born in OH, I have 100% WV blood running through my veins. Very proud to say both of my parents are from the Spencer, WV area. Most of my extended family still lives in the area and we visit when we can. Such a beautiful place!! Again, welcome to LBT!!! :welcome:
  14. SSS = Secret Sam Substitute. Contact K@t with your info if your interested. I think it's a super idea as some people didn't get their gift last time. I can't wait to see who I get b/c I've been seeing some really cute things out there. :biggrin1:
  15. Does anyone have a quarter? I bet it would bounce off those buns!!
  16. Yup.....I'm laughing too. I'm glad we are one big happy family. Can we give big hugs now?
  17. Yoda ~ I would like to be a fly on your wall for just a day. I bet there would be many stories to tell. :heh: It sounds to me like you and you DH have a lot of fun together and you know they say laughter if good for the soul. Tell you DH we enjoyed his story and for him to feel free to post any time......also enjoyed yours just as well. I'm too sleepy right now, but perhaps I can come up with more tomorrow. :notagree Night!!
  18. Please understand that I am proud of who & what I stand for and I appreciate you acknowledging that even though it was meant to be sarcastic. I surly don't need LBT or anyone else to validate that for me. I too speak my mind, but I do it in a manner that is not intended to build my own self esteem by tearing others down. I truly hope you try to find some help with your emotions that seem to roll off your fingers. Especially, after you got so fired up when someone had a different opinion other than yours.....you didn't even take your own advice. Now where does that leave you? Did you win the special Olympics since you carried on and apologized at least 4 or 5 times? Hmmmm?? You should always be true to who you really are, but show some consideration and respect to other people when you do so. You can still be funny. You have a lot to offer. Just don't put yourself in the position where you have to edit all the time and ask for your posts to be deleted. I hope you can look at this as a positive step for change. The Lord knows your a superstar when you really put your mind to something. I love to laugh and hope we can still look forward to sharing laughs together. I just don't want to do it at someone else's expense. I hope you can understand a little bit of where I'm coming from.
  19. I just have to say what a lovely group of ladies!! You all look so wonderful and happy!! :clap2: It's nice to put a face with the screen name....avatars don't keep up with the changes. Thanks for posting the pic for all of us to see. You are all such an inspiration!! BTW, the kids are just adorable.
  20. I need more info on why some wear a bracelet. I have asked this question twice, once during pre-op class and another via e-mail to my surgeon. I got a "no" both times. What is it about the "No NG tube without scope"? My surgeon also works ER trauma, so I'm sure he has a clear understanding of this. I think a lot of banded people do wear the bracelets. Can anyone specifically describe why it would be essential in the event of an accident/emergency? I love details. :biggrin1: Thanks in advance!!
  21. This is great and full of laughs!! I had an employee working for me that said she had been reincarnated. I asked her how she knew. I quote, "How do you think I did so well in History?" I about rolled on the floor right then and there. This has stuck with me for years!!
  22. How cute is this? Hey, Doty are you ready to race tonight? Happy Birthday SMOKE!!!
  23. Happy Birthday Tricia!!! I second the picture thing!!
  24. Yup....and I hold my head HIGH!!! BTW, I do get the jest of what you are trying to say, it's just there are a 100 different ways it could have been expressed. You don't always need to put down a group of people to build your self up or make yourself look good. Again, it truly shows your integrity and cowardliness more than it does a warped sense of humor.
  25. This clearly shows ones integrity. This is offensive and I take offense. Not b/c I have or even know someone that falls into this category, but b/c this hurts my heart for those people. "Retarded" people as you put it, go to the special olympics and experience and learn more than you obviously will realize. I think it's clearly time for some RESPECT to be shown to the veterans a lot of you are bashing. Get over yourselves!! There may come a day that you need their help and advise and guess what, your not going to get it. I have seen a lot of back and forth, yet I have not seen any proof (other than old threads....2 mos or longer) to substantiate the claims regarding the discouragement you've been fighting over.
