  1. Thanks, I thought so too. I don't know about the rest of you, but I haven't had this much fun in one day in I don't know how long. I love LBT!! Have we killed this thread yet?
  2. Here's a work of art....talk about a thread killer..... Ooooo....this is fun!!!
  3. I don't see the "fluffy" (the term we use in our family instead of fat) me when I look in the mirror, but I see the fluffy me in pictures. Strange, huh? I do see my boob shrinking though when I look in the mirror.
  4. My apologies......Susan.
  5. It's all good PSusan.....no reason to think this place isn't for everyone. Let's take a happy pill, OK? Let's get along and be nice. Hope this thread doesn't die so quickly. :focus: Getting psycho is also a thread killer.
  6. Today I'm so thankful the Lord led me to the proper people to schedule my fill. I have been leaving messages since the 11th and come to find out, the receptionist was giving me the wrong voice mail. I am also thankful and praising God for providing us with the funds to pay monthly tuition so that my son can attend a Christian school.
  7. Awww PSusan....don't try to kill this thread too. Remember..... Come on, let's pour a glass of wine and toast to better times.
  8. No tattoos for me. I will be the first to admit, I'm a big baby when it comes to pain. Is this thread dead yet?
  9. Great story Mandy!! I can just hear DeLarla laughing now. I'm thankful for those with a sense of humor. PSusan, I'm glad you finally got it.
  10. Nice!!! Go feminine power and eternal life!!
  11. O.K. who cut the cheese?
  12. No, no Drews, I insist....THANK YOU for sharing!! I've never seen such a beautiful tattoo. What are those flowers anyway?
  13. Spoken like a true veteran. I want to be Leatha when I grow up.
  14. Maybe it's your stinky feet.:pound: Sorry that's my ornery side coming out. Not really. I just posted how beautiful your feet were. Nice tattoo.
  15. :wow2: Drews. Very pretty and colorful. What beautiful feet you have!!! Good news. My first fill is scheduled for this Friday. Finally!! I got voice mail again today and I called back and told the receptionist I was staying on the line until I got a live person. The office mgr took my call and made sure I got the correct person to get this scheduled. I'm really excited. :clap2: I have to take my youngest son with me b/c I don't have a babysitter. I'm sure they can give him a vest to wear while in the room. Does anyone know of any concerns taking your kids with you during a flouro?
  16. Hilarious!! That explains the smell on some of the posts!!! Next time I poop, I'll have to check for legos. Didn't know that was a side effect. Thanks Wheestin.
  17. Happy Birthday DeAnn!! May all your dreams come true!!
  18. Girls girls.....it's time to move off the DeLarla thread on to more important things. Now, go to your keyboard and pick another thread, O.K.? It's a good thing, really. It will be good for you. Pick a thread any thread.
  19. I should have placed a bet. The very same people, the "commom denominator" I was referring to, go crazy at the very site of her name.....DELARLA. It's obvious she can't post when her name brings out the same people that claim to have a real life. Leave her alone and go on with your important lives. Let her be. Go on with your journey and support the people you claim she is not supporting. I only know DeLarla through this site and she has been one of the most supportive people I've come across. She is a real person and if you experienced her wrath then she was only reacting. Defensive yes. Every action causes a reaction. Quit causing the action and I'm sure you too can experience a different DeLarla. She has a true heart and doesn't talk out of both sides of her mouth like some people on here. GET A LIFE and let this thread continue on with the original intentions......a bring DeLarla back thread. If you don't like DeLarla, go on with your life. There is no need for you to be here on this thread. Go do something important and worthwhile.
  20. So what's the verdict? Is it the septic tank? Or, is it still on your DH's To Do List?
  21. DeLarla....only she can cause trouble by not even being here. Wait, maybe she's not the one causing trouble. I've seen some pretty heated words exchanged since DeLarla's been gone. I also see a common denominator. Anyone else notice? Just her name makes some people cringe b/c they can't stand the idea of not being the center of attention. I miss DeLarla. Come back and share some love will ya? Or at least post some pics from your Dallas convention.
  22. Here's a thread I mentioned earlier: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=19651
  23. I can't imagine being so close to surgery and THEN getting the call it's cancelled. I bet you are heartbroken. I'm sure there is a side of you that understands this is for the best and your surgeon is looking out for your well being. It's kind of like a pancake....there are 2 sides. For what it's worth, I had an irregular heart beat and discovered through my PCP before surgery. My lapband surgeon would not schedule the date until ALL tests were complete including the stress test. I passed with flying colors. I'll try to find the thread for you b/c it has a lot of good info. Consider this one more hoop to jump through. Hang in there and I wish you the best on your stress test.
  24. I have the spider veins and varicose veins too. Would love to have them taken care of some day so I'm looking forward to watching this thread for advice. Thanks for bringing up a great topic!
  25. How old were you when you had your children? 33 & 35 ~ We plan to have more after I get the green light from my surgeon. How old is too old to start a family? Never as far as I'm concerned. I will be in my 40's for our next child and my SIL gave birth in Dec and she is 42. Wisdom comes with age and I'll have to say that I feel I'm a better mother at 39 (currently) than I would have been in my 20's. I have a better understanding of focusing on the important things than the petty things that can cloud you at a young age. **THIS IS ONLY MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE/OPINION AND NOT MEANT TO REFLECT ON YOUNG PARENTS....MY PERSPECTIVE ON MY LIFE** If you or someone you know had children later in life and could do it over again, would you? Absolutely. My kids wear me out some days....physically & mentally. At the end of the day, the good out weighs the bad 1000 times over. Does anyone here have experience with adoption? We have 2 adopted nephews and 1 adopted niece from Kazakhstan (used to be part of Russia). They are loved and accepted just as much as other family members. Does anyone want to offer advice or perspective on this? For pete's sake!! I can't believe anyone would dare say your not "ready". No one ever is. You just step up to the plate and do it. I'm sure you've read some things on this thread that prompted you to consider some things that perhaps didn't cross your mind until this point. Your doing the right thing in gathering information. Sure, your smart enough to know there will be different perspectives. You and your DH will make the right decision. Follow your heart and pray about it. The Lord will open and close doors. Don't put any stock into people saying your too old or that you'll be this age when they graduate. Who cares? Personally, I could care less what someone will think of me when my children are in high school or college. I may need a cane or a walker. Perhaps those people just need someone to talk about and if they're talking about me, they're leaving someone else alone. I can take it and I know you can too. You are your own person from what I gather from your posts. Stay on this road of gathering info and soon you'll have your answer. Never look back. Go forward and know whatever takes place is meant to be and you can deal with anything that comes your way. Take it one day at a time. Please give us an update and let us know when you do decide. I wish you the VERY best!!
