  1. Years ago I actually had a woman in a BMW tell me I didn't know how to work the system. She was receiving foodstamps and I needed them and couldn't get them. Yes I was angry when I couldn't get help! When I pay taxes. I almost died in "89" had emergency surgery. Lost my job because of it. I was told to sell my car and live off of that money. I had 3 small children and no help from my ex. Now how in the heck was I supposed to be able to job hunt, take my children to the Dr. or go to the store? My value on my car? $ 35.00 over the state allotment at that time. They no longer use your vehicles as counting towards your income. Which is good for my kids. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to get FS. They work hard but still fall short after all bills are paid. But I am sorry Patty that I fall short. Unlike you who are so perfect and don't think anyone but you are allowed to have an opinion. Especially if it doesn't match your thinking!
  2. PJTP....... I've been a baaad girl today. I had a piece of cheesecake. Oh so creamy with a chocolate crust
  3. Back at ya slim
  4. I want to thank all the little people...
  5. Loved the story! I'm glad about your positive attitude towards what happened. I agree with Julie, buy new pants!
  6. I agree with restless...call your Dr.
  7. Thanks Slim. I hadn't even thought about it. I just had an itch. I reached up to scratch it and realized there was a bone. Then I checked other side and found another. So I have been a loser all day and rubbed them until they are a little sore. Can we say OCD?:scared2: Yay for hubby! Hopefully your home life will get back to semi normal. Thanks green. I have a question for you and I know it is none of my business but how long after banding did you find out about your cancer? I read one of your post about your hubby, I think you have a wonderful hubby. Prayers are with you.
  8. I just love the octo-moms thread. No wonder I don't read books anymore. I read there and I get drama, humor, gossip and sadness. :scared2: The only thing I don't get is travel.
  9. Hey I just discovered I'm getting collar bones again! I haven't felt them in years!
  10. Glory Defined by Building 429
  11. Repeat after me...Gone is the winner! Now keep repeating it...almost as a homage to me the winner.
  12. Green, prayers and thoughts are with you. PJTP....I must be at my sweet spot. Yea! I got a fill on Monday. I have to remind myself to eat! LOL Before I thought to much about food and now hardly ever! This is so great! I have lost 3 lbs since Mon.! I have always been happy with my band, but I really did have to work it. Now I still will have to work it to a certain extent, like making sure I get my water in and my protien. (even though right now I don't want anything). I kinda liken it to a couple. First research and banding= going steady and engagement phase. Sweet spot= Honeymoon phase. Reaching and maintaining goal= The rest of your life comitment in sickness and health phase.
  13. You no longer have pizza on speed dial
  14. PJTP.... here is an old thread that I had forgotten about until today. I had to post in it naturally. Some are quite funny. So for those who didn't know about it or those who forgot, have a laugh, have a aahhaaa moment or a I have done that moment...enjoy. You know you are a bandster when.. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f17/you-know-you-bandster-when-65219/ Hopefully this will work.
  15. When your grandchildren tell you how pretty you are. When a Tic-Tac fills you up. When you have to remind yourself you HAVE to eat instead of always wanting to eat. You have now become a model because you are always posing for pictures
  16. I will Always Be True by Third day:mad2:
  17. WOOHOO across the finish line I go!!!!
  18. Welcome. You have done great! We will help you any way we can. Just ask away and read like crazy!:mad2: Good luck
  19. In the past I have taken Mucinex, but with this last fill the other day, I don't think I will be able to anymore. I think it is an individual thing. You try and your body lets you know.(although painfully at times):mad2: Good luck.
  20. WOOHOO! That is so neat! Congratulations. Keep up the good work. I keep dreaming about the day I hit onederland. It's good to see others hitting it.
  21. EXCUSE ME!!!! I didn't call him names! I couldn't remember his name, Hence the term BROWN dad! Please don't tell me you have never called anyone names. Wether they be fat, thin, handycapped! Whatever!! I don't think there is 1 single person (other than Jesus) that has never called someone names. I don't necessarily like name calling, but I'm not calling the kettle black! Are you really PG with a name change?
  22. Brown teams dad...He had gastric by pass. He said a few weeks ago that it was the easy way out. IMHO I think that is why he gained his weight back. He thought easy way, he didn't have to work to keep it off. So he made WLS look like a joke. :tt1: I am so sorry about your loss. Prayers are with you. I agree that Jillian had the right to be disgusted. I was happy that Mike lost weight (brown son) But I was really hoping that they had screwed themselves over. They came close. I couldn't believe it when the sister on Bob's team gained 2 lbs.:frown: Yes Bob should have sent the cousins back to Jillian. But then they would have cried that she was killing them. Because I have a feeling that as ticked off as she was, that she would have gave them a work out like they have never had.
  23. I'm a cancer survivor and my hair grew back curly. The thing is I didn't lose all my hair. I lost a round patch on the back of my head. I was able to hide it by pulling my hair back. So i wonder if this might not be similar.
