I think this varies depending on what your Surgon says.
I have had one Surgon tell me that NSAIDS are fine to take via IV & another say to avoid them all together no matter what the form (this includes topical).

i had my surgery at about 11:45 and was back in the ward at 3. Have had to sit up all afternoon to help with the wind. I’m hoping to get in to bed in a bit just for a change of scenery! The pain it bearable but uncomfortable and I have dry heaved a few times but finger crossed no sick yet.

I managed a glass of Water so far but I am on a drip and and antibiotics so not pushing it. I have been on 3 walks up and down that corridor and am managing to pee ok.

I agree with everything the has been said. Get a second opinion! Tell you it’s all in your head points to the doctor being unprofessional & crazy!

Have you tried a GOOD electrolyte Water?
I have been felling punie & my naturopath told me to get liquid IV or Drip Drops. Both are powders & both have Vitamins. I use a 1/2 stick per day & have been feeling so much better. They may seem expensive, but you are worth it!
I know it’s not the answer to everything that you are going through but it might help you feel better I’m the mean time.

I think you need to talk to your bariatric surgeon. Many do prescribe appetite suppressant medication.

They made my daughter drink from a medicine cup every 15 min.
I wasn’t a true “bariatric” so the orthopedic floor didn’t know what to do with me.

It could be a cyst that is filling up (causing the pain) & then it releases (causing the burp). My cousin had something similar but she heard a gurgling sound & then she was out of pain.

Lots of us have regret the 1st month. Give it time, it will get better. You have just put your body through a major shock! Just take it easy & slow down your eating. Take one bite, wait 10-15 min then take another. In a couple of days shorten the time between bites. You’ll get there.

Find a hobby. That will help tremendously. Adult coloring books, crafts, diamond dots! 💜💚

It's very common to have Constipation after surgery. I just looked it up, and the name for the product I use here in the US is called Movicol in Spain. You need to take it for a few days until it works. I take it almost every day, but sometimes every other day. If you don't GO for many days (like 5 or more) you may need a laxative suppository, which will work in about 30 minutes.
You will notice that you will not poo as frequently as you did prior to surgery because you are not eating as much and you are not getting much Fiber.

I had reduction surgery 8 years before my WLS.
I didn’t have to do any PT or anything before. My doctor had to provide proof that it was needed for insurance. Tell them that I had tried PT & that I was currently seeing a pain specialist for back pain.

I used the Fast Metabolism Diet by Haylie Pomroy. I lost what I had gained & then hit my goal weight over 3 years after my bypass.

The diet recommends eating a lot of food each day. I couldn’t do that but I did follow what foods to eat in each phase & did it for 1 month. Then I loosely followed along & kept loosing.

We just got back from vacation today. We ate way too many bad things so we are gonna do it for another month starting on Monday (it’s easier to keep track of the phases if you start on a Monday).

My whole body felt better & my face waits swollen each morning.

There is a very good Fast Metabolism group on FB. They are always very helpful & answer questions pretty quickly.
