I have a car but live in the city, so sometimes don't actually use the car for a couple weeks at a stretch. A few weeks ago I got into the car and realized all the mirrors were significantly off. I had to reorient all of them - side mirrors, rearview mirror. Was really annoyed that I'd somehow hit buttons and screwed up the mirrors until I realized: I'd had to tilt them all downwards the exact same degree.
I'd lost enough on my hips and ass since the last time I'd been in the car to literally shrink a few inches and thrown all of the mirror angles off.

I have several protein shakes but my go to is the premier... since surgery I’ve been mixing get the Carmel with some coffee and sip on it until gone ....that’s half my protein for the day down . I’m usually done by 10 am. I made protein pudding from the premier as well so it helps me get the rest of my protein in as well. My calories are about 600 and I need to get them to goal of around 800. I had trouble with the taste of some of the Proteins I bought before surgery now... I think my tastes have changed a bit

I was told to bring mine, I "forgot" it. I knew I wouldn't sleep anyway and just no. The respitory therapist came I said nope, all good. Mine is really mild too. In hindsight I should've brought mine as I was Very bradycardic, dipping into 20s sometimes but mostly 30-low 40s. It probably would've messed up the oxygen and besides I didn't sleep with those alarms going off every ten seconds. I was oxygen from 3 pm until 5 am

Day 4 of my pre-op diet. The prepackaged Protein Soups, protein Oatmeals, protein pancakes, and protein hot chocolate are not good but I'm staying strong. I'm allowed Jello, broth, sugar free popsicles, and ONE AMAZING PROTEIN candy BAR daily. Yes, it's only day 4 but I live for that bar each day. They taste like real food. On the other hand, I'm getting over 100oz of fluids daily. And I've lost 7lbs in these 4 days. Go Me! 17 (almost 16) days until surgery!!! I am so excited!

I'm getting the gastric sleeve 2nd may. Rny tends to lose weight faster at first, but by 18 months post op sleeve and rny loss is about the same.
Most revisions from sleeve to rny that I've seen so far are people who developed reflux.
Benefits of sleeve over rny are much lower chance of dumping, no malabsorption of nutrients, no risk of herniation from bypass intestine joins, and complete removal of the 80% of your stomach that produces most of your ghrelin hunger hormone.
(I'm guessing sleeve would also do less damage/alteration to your "gut biome" too, which research is only now starting to show is massively important to health)
If you are someone who still chooses to eat unhealthy foods / empty calories post surgery though, the sleeve won't prevent you from absorbing all of those calories like an rny would.

Both my pat downers were females at two different airports, Lafayette, Louisiana and Milwaukee, WI. They were both very professional. I got to see the results from the scanner and the area of concern, which was my pelvic area.
I have not flown since 1998 and all this TSA stuff is new to me. I had to practically study to learn what I could and could not take. Lol
All that being said I'm in law enforcement and know how to do a proper, professional pat down. If something has happened to me like in the stories you linked I would've definitely not been shy about reporting it.
I'm really having doubts as to if it is the staples, as my stomach and staples shouldn't be that far down! Lol.
I may not have an apron and use baby powder but I do have some lose skin in that area that I'm wanting to get plastic surgery on.

If my insurance would pay for my surgery I would definitely go to Dr. Varnell or Dr. Katsis. Since I'm paying cash I'm going to Mexico. I work for Oklahoma Surgical Hospital in Tulsa and dr varnell and dr. Katsis (surgical associates inc.) are part owners and do all of their other surgerys where I work. They are awesome drs and super nice guys also. I do MRI/cat scan/xray and I used to work in the OR and when you work in the OR you get a behind the scenes look at how the docs really are and how they treat the surgery staff and I can say these two docs are top notch and treat others well. Some docs not so much and are really as**oles in the or. Anyone choosing bailey bariatric should know they are in good hands. I hope this helps some people. My name is Joanne and I live in broken arrow and I am getting sleeved on march 2nd by dr. Guillermo Alvarez. Excited but nervous.

Oh wow I have Aetna too (POS II) I am also doing the 3 month multi disciplinary program. In order to get the initial consultation I had to see a quality of excellence center. So the first original Bariatric center I went with they would not allow me to move forward with because it was not a quality center of Excellence. So I had to call Aetna and get the locations in my city that were. Since then I haven’t had any issues and I really hope I do not run into any. My requirements are pretty much the same as yours. 3 month Nutrition Visits, Psych Evaluation, 1 support meeting and PCP medical clearance.

Plastic chairs that don't make sucky noises when I get up. People saying "oh at least her face is pretty". People letting me on the furniture instead of bringing a bashed up wooden kitchen one. Shopping in the regular ladies or juniors department. Finding a nice coat instead of resorting to a mans jacket. Having people know I'm a female instead of a misshapen blob. Dressing in something bright instead of the mustard, black,or puky greens I found last week at Wally World. People not recognizing me.An occasional wolf whistle instead wondering if the guy has developed a wheeze. Painting my toenails, seeing my intimate areas without a mirror. Scratching,my own middle back.Looking in a single mirror instead of a triple. Taking a selfie without looking like a group, focusing a wide angle and having some scenery show on either side. Being tall instead of merely big. Having someone like me for myself not the amount of shadow I provide. Not being in the back row of every picture or having to be the photographer instead.
    Also,i answer somebody,else I'm in Central Ohio.

Don't we all, I'm sorta like that myself today. I was just lying here, with sinusitis from Hades, been through 4 antibiotics and my nose is still dripping yet my head still feels stuffy. Tomorrow morning I have to go have a head and sinus Xray[emoji37] I love reading everybody's story. Cheer with them at victories, empathize at each sorrow and still down deep jealous as snarf they've had their surgery and. I still havent! And if by some miracle I'd get a call, no surgeon is gonna do me with a drippy nose. Imagine telling the anesthesia[emoji40] guy Wait a minute until I blow my nose! Probably isn't going to happen until May but I'm impatient. Told them, folks, I am not getting any younger, I'm blaming you for my lines and crows feet[emoji70][emoji30] Sniff sniff!
