Hello,

I was approved for surgery last Thursday and scheduled the actual surgery date for May 15th. I am beyond excited! I am pleased with how smooth the insurance approval went. It took one day to get an approval so thankfully I did not have to wait. Anyone else have surgery in May? And for those of you who have already had surgery what do I pack in my hospital bag? I am so looking forward to this next chapter in my life.

I just got submitted and approved today. My surgery date is May 7 ?

I was approved two days ago...May 3rd here. Excited and nervous.

Insurance required me to lose 40 pounds...I can not gain from now to surgery... I was excited today...as the day went on, I started getting nervous...I have 2 children...a 20 year old away at school and a almost 7 year old...

I had my surgery yesterday. I was sent home today. I packed one pair of yoga pants, a t-shirt, socks and a toothbrush. It was more than enough. PACK LIGHT!

The yoga pants were ok for me however, I probably should have packed something a little bit more loose fitting. Keep that in mind. You don’t want anything hugging your incision sites.

Where did you have your surgery. I'm having mine at Boston medical center

Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

I will be having my surgery at St. Lukes in Houston, TX. 36 days to go. I swear May cannot get here fast enough!

Yay! Are you nervous at all? How long is your liquid diet? I have my pre op visit on May 8th so I'll only be on liquids for a week.

How is your recovery coming along?

I am nervous...but the nerves go up and down. I have a feeling it will be overwhelming the day of surgery... my liquid diet is 3 days prior to surgery. I have my pre op on April 26th. How are you coping with it all?

Overall I'm excited. I think my husband is more nervous than I am. I feel like its so far away and I wish I would have scheduled the surgery sooner. 3 days is awesome! I'm not at all looking forward to a week on liquids.
