Hello,

I was approved for surgery last Thursday and scheduled the actual surgery date for May 15th. I am beyond excited! I am pleased with how smooth the insurance approval went. It took one day to get an approval so thankfully I did not have to wait. Anyone else have surgery in May? And for those of you who have already had surgery what do I pack in my hospital bag? I am so looking forward to this next chapter in my life.

I just got my surgery date: May 8th!
I have to do 2 weeks liquids prior to surgery. I plan on going home in robe and gown. Wont be stopping anywhere. Dont forget to order medical id bracelet that states you had surgery! Amazon has them reasonably priced too.

Yes! I feel you on that. My hubby also says dumb things like he doesn't want my body to be mismatched or for me to have a big head. I told him that losing this weight and gaining confidence is more important to me than anything. I have also been big for most of my life. I have a countdown on my dry erase board here at work, 34 days till surgery!

Good for you! I feel so lucky that this process took 5 months for me.
