    Any MAY sleevers???

Hi! Im doing good....RNY May 7, blood work has come back good every time...still struggle just getting enough water... not because I can’t drink...sometimes I just forget... my heaviest was 401...I was 358 on surgery day...I am now 245. I feel like it has slowed down for me also...next apt is the 7th of May for my 1 year...
  3. I am almost 45. I had gastric bypass on May 7. I wouldn’t change it for anything...and honestly, I wish I would have done it years ago. I started out at 401. And I’m sure there was a time I was prob a little higher than that. I had to lose weight prior to surgery per insurance requirements...so I lost 41 pounds. I was 358 on surgery day. I weighed myself this morning and was 305. I am very picky! The list of foods I don’t eat...is huge! The dietician will help you with that. I had no health issues prior...not one...except for BMI. I have felt fine since surgery...no sickness...as long as you follow his instructions and keep in touch with them you will do great! Good luck!!!

Yea, I’m definitely not satisfied with how things have happened with PEIA over the past months. Keep fighting!

    Insurance Hold up

I ended up doing everything they wanted and got approved...my surgery was May 7.
  8. Just wondering how everyone is doing?
  9. I started at 401 (May 2017). I had to do a year of supervised diet. I was 358 on surgery day. I was 329 on May 31. But I’ve only lost like 12/13 pounds since then. I was 316 yesterday, back to 317 today. I feel like I’ve been back and forth for the last 3/4 weeks. I feel like since I was heavier, I would lose quicker. Im thankful for what I have lost...but worried it won’t work.

    Any MAY sleevers???

That’s awesome!! I had surgery May 7. I was 358 surgery day, 8 pounds higher the day I left the hospital, I guess from fluid and gas...today I was 322.
  12. Congrats!!! That’s awesome!!!
  13. I am! A few days after being released I told my husband I didn’t think he did the surgery, they just gave me a nap. Lol! Incisions are healing great, I had hardly any bruising at all...I just started week 2, so I’ve tried some oatmeal, unsweetened applesauce and mashed potatoes...she told me no milk, so I made them with chicken broth and nonfat Greek yogurt. They were pretty good! Still just a teaspoon...I’m probably not getting enough fluid but I keep trying each day...I get tired during the day, but overall feeling good!
  14. My doc says no straws for 8 weeks.

    Any MAY sleevers???

Today I could start introducing a few things. I could have loose mashed potatoes...but no milk (only almond, soy or lactose free skim), no cheese, bitter oil or margarine. So I made a small potato and used chicken broth and non fat Greek yogurt. They tasted pretty good. Of course that coming from a person that has been on clear liquid for about 2 weeks. (Surgery May 7)

    Any MAY sleevers???

Surgery was May 7...came home yesterday. Still sore but getting around a lot easier today. Started 2oz protein shake 3x a day today...that went down well...vitamins and meds went down well...I’m worried about drinking too much...and over filling my pouch and popping it...I over worry. I did try a sugar free popsicle earlier...just worried I’m not getting enough fluids.

    Surgery in May?

Surgery May 7th. Came home yesterday. Getting around easier today. Tummy is tender but no real pain. I do still have some gas issues...can’t seem to pass it at all...today i was to start 2oz Protein Shake 3x a day, that went well...I don’t think I’m getting enough fluid...I’m sipping, but I am afraid of sipping too much...I know the next 3 weeks are crucial and I don’t want to do anything wrong. I did try a sugar free popsicle earlier...I was initially afraid to do that...it went ok...I think it was gas I was feeling afterwards...just a tightening in the middle of my tummy...almost would remind you of a contraction...my incisions look good...a little bruising around one, but over all ok. Vitamins went down ok today...glad everyone’s doing well!! Excited to see how everyone is feeling a week from now [emoji4]
  20. Can I be added to the groups too? Hoping to make it to a meeting eventually. tpiper@k12.wv.us
  21. A little sore...still pretty gassy but a lot better than yesterday. Nervous now about water intake and either not getting enough or popping my pouch. I’m sure I’ll be fine....I’m a worrier. Lol
  22. Just got released....headed home.
