10x my weight, OMG that works out to 3230 calories! Eating that I'd be big enough for my own ZIP code, no maybe more the size of Australia. Let's cut me back to 1000 or less, okay?[emoji22]

And there are a few in a humorous vein. Late MIL told people her friends went to " Extensive" Care to rehabilitate.
A story from my healthcare days:
    Mildred(patient) -
Would you please tell the nurse I need Milk of Amnesia?
Me' Mildred, do you mean Milk of Magnesia?
Midred-No,silly! I mean Milk of Amnesia! My bowels forgot to work!
Sunny Days and Smiles today Everyone!

I love people who ask questions like that.
Q Why didn't you tell me you were lactose intolerant?
    A. Because I never was before.
    Reminds me of lawyers queries.
Q Have you lived in this city your entire life?
    A Well, not yet.

Macpower you can always talk to me. Don't feel you can't join in, I have been on BP maybe 4.5-5 months, in all that time I have met up with only 1 person who resented my insertion into conversations. She, I'm sorry to say, was a real piece of work, oh I'm nice enough to wish her well but our virtual paths have not intersected again. She spoke of me in what I felt a disparaging manner, she may live her life as she wishes, but I hope our paths do not touch. Most people are very kind on here, if they sense you are a. Newbie that will try to help if they can. We all come in with different life experiences, some problems I found answers for in the outside world, to help someone I tap into those as well as what I've learned here on Bariatric Pal. I usually admit,if I've got a wrong slant on things but I tend to be usually right. Most people will not resent you, if they do it's their problem, not yours. If I misspell,it's not so much a lack of education as 2 other things, 1 my smartphone is too smart, it enjoys auto correcting and 60% it skews things so they make no sense 2 I think faster than i text, my mind is always bouncing forward while my fingers lag behind. Makes for strange reading at times. Hey stay easy ,stay breezy and don't sweat the small stuff.[emoji6]

No problem --everyone on here will tell you, I'm just the same way. I grab a-hold of a topic and often run with it. You are the same age as my son, he will,be 39 on the 12th of June. Still lives with me, I wish he always will. I have one other living child, RD short for Rotten Daughter, every family tree has at least one sour [emoji519] I gave birth to mine. She is incredibly self-centered, most of the blame goes to her 2 grandmothers who competed to give her gifts and one-up each other, if 1 bought her a dress the other must buy her tights and shoes, then a coat, then a fur hat and muff and on and on. My late husband and I tried to intercede, both grandmothers raised up on their haunches and screeched like banshees at us. How dare we interfere with their God given grandmother rights to spoil little Precious rotten? And sorry to say, we acquiesced because they were our mothers and neither of us were raised to argue or be cheeky to our parents. The upshot: I have a 49 year old daughter who believes God asks her express permission for the sun to rise each morning, is willing not to speak -call- or text me although we live no more than 6/10ths of a mile, maybe 1 km apart. Last time when we spoke about my upcoming surgery she quickly turned the conversation to herself and her problems. If I had told her I was going to squat over a buzz saw and expose my lady parts to the blade she would have been no more concerned. So I guess I'll just have to give up with trying to have a meaningful relationship. Sad isn't it? She was. first grandchild on both sides, my only child until her first brother came along 7 years later. I mourn the loss of relationship, she alas does not. I will still go forward with my surgery with the full support of my youngest,my son. Although his father and I endeavored to raise all three to be upright decent people it only took with him and his older brother, my angel son who died at 31 from an undiagnosed heart condition. He would have been 42 on 7th May were he still living and Bryan my remaining son and I still miss him after 10 years have elapsed. Perhaps we always will. But I still am moving on towards my surgery day and a start to a better healthier life. The dimishment in physical size is just a beautiful added bonus. Perhaps May, I don't know yet, my journey has been on hold for several months but I hope and pray the gears start turning again.on the 25th when I have a psych appointment. Sometime I promise to fill you in on the whole story, but I'm frightened somehow I'll jinx myself. Thank you for putting up with a ginger- headed 72 year old. fat person with a little too much weight on her body and wanting to make a permanent change.[emoji14]

Numinousvessel I was worried about you, not all those other people. My road to my RnY has turned complicated also but I want to be here for you just as a friend. I can tell you my problems at another time, suffice it to say I got kicked to the curb by my bariatric program after completely doing all requirements. Now I must enroll in another program if They will accept me. So we have a commonality there. I will listen if you want to talk more.
