Do any of the bypass folks with they'd gone with a sleeve?
At age 64 I’m happy I had my R-N-Y Bypass. My diabetes is in reverse and I went from 210lbs. at 5’6” to 160lbs. In three months.

Where are all the 50 something bypass patients?
Insulin dependent diabetic with acid reflux. At age 64 I had to have a R-N-Y Bypass on May 15th. No insulin, no diabetic meds! God is Most Gracious and Most Kind.

I can’t drink the protein; I become nauseated and gag. May 15th was my surgical date, but I’m not showing any protein deficiencies???

more post-op pain than i expected
Protein will help. I order a reclining chair from a local medical supply shop for a month ($120) and it really helped, especially when trying to get a good night’s sleep.

Intro time: who's new to the group, who's pre-op, & who just recently made it to the loser's bench?

Thank you so much for contacting me! I’m excited and worried about my May surgery date. I still can’t decide between the sleeve or the RnY. How did you choose. I keep thinking, at my age the sleeve would be safer. I am 5’5” and 210 pounds and I have a lot of mobility diseases.

Tespo vitamins
Agreed. This loud machine and it’s pods are gimmicks and it’s not worth the money I’ve paid over the last two months, because I’ve had to take and pay for additional vitamin D and calcium.

Over age 60
Thank you so much! The age thing was causing some concern; because some doctors (not specialist) say you should not get this operation after age 60. I’m proceeding full speed ahead. Thank you, again for your encouragement[emoji177]

Tespo vitamins
Agreed. I have not had my surgery yet, which is why I don’t mind taking the Tespo vitamins, now.

Over age 60
I’m very excited for you! I don’t have a surgery date, but I’m going to see the nutritionist this Thursday. May the Peace and Blessing of God be with you on March 19th and as you continue your new journey. Best Wishes!

Tespo vitamins
I just started using it last week; I'm pre-op and I’m just trying to build up my vitamin intake. I like it!
