And now it's in the range of 40 pounds gone, but don't do it my way, I would much rather be on foods than have a stricture that keeps you on liquids. 6 weeks today, my diet has only slightly advanced since I came home. And nobody talked that much about strictures, I started out So good and smooth and this happened. And now I am waiting for the 26th when Dr Noria will try again to dialate me. Maybe the second attempt will work in my favor.

Does anyone like low sodium V8 or any of the other V8 blends? I know they are a step up from cleats liquids but they have some Green Blends. Has anybody tried them?

Couldn't remember my last BM. My surgeon's partner said even on my limited diet, I should be going 3 times a week. Hit the MoM this AM ,about 3 hours later had results. Not a whole lot, but smooth and soft. My ?Question: why do I no longer have lower abdominal distress? The stuff could sit in there, collect and not colonic complaint. Now that I study on it , I have not had a spontaneous?since surgery 6 weeks ago today. Am I weird,if that something my to be concerned about or will it smooth out once I am on a real food diet? ?

Yeah I have all these and add I think my armpits have a horrid BO, rather like onion, garlic and rotting veggies, like garabage that needs emptied. Keep scrubbing them, changing deodorants , maybe it is my fat going into ketosis, burning off, releasing hormones and gunk. I had a thick pad of fat, thought the moodiness was over, I m 6 weeks out today, had a major crying jag last night. What set it off? I saw the picture of "Jakesoldlady" going into surgery, all happy and triumphant. I realized my son took no pictures of me on THAT day and now I have no basis of comparison. Yeah I have lost weight, 40 pounds now, not that I didn't need to lose it, but the only pictures I have around then are ugly selfie types, like of my nose as I fell asleep, or drooling on my pillow. Not one that approached pretty, and for a Fat 72 year old I wasn't excessively ugly. But the time of joyess release from my fat caccoon, Gone Forever and never seen again. So I cried, raged against my son, would have walked out into the street, but with my luck the cars would graze me with their bumpers, can't even do THAT right. So I will continue to live and. hold to the motto SUCCESS IS THE BEST REVENGE! And that's how things are with me!

I'm getting nastier and short tempered as I age. Might have been by excessive being beset upon. Might have been tempted to say "Takes ONE,to know One and besides You're Hanging with ME!" Ditch people who don't want to March in Your Parade! Any people that pfft! I had one who said similar, now that I have started losing weight she is taking full credit to our other friends. A big HUG from ME, I may now remember so well, had to wear a pad on top of tampons to stem the flow, my GYn used to say " Its washing YOU clean!" yeah but who asks foe a tsunami in your underwear? And the rotten so and-so refused me a hysterectomy. An sidebar, years later the 1st Bariatric Surgeon I consulted Could Not Believe I had not had a hysterectomy. Keep saying to the future young surgeon he was training "I cannot believe she is Gynecologically Intact! " Since when has that been a precursor to Bariatric Surgery? He was a strange strange bird, glad I escaped his birdcage lair and found a better(dare I say ? More skillful Surgeon) our personalities did not mesh well.

Had 2 bags on the 1st while I fell after tripping, slipping or parsing out, son feels the first, I'm thinking the last because I don't remember tripping, bruised up my knee, the one that was first replaced, bruised my belly and tore my right arm open, a long skin tear, this week it's good enough to go without a dressing. So I am getting patched up, and someone passed along I was status post an RnY, now my local hospital is only a community one, so like a purple spotted giraffe EVERYBODY had to come see the strange animal. I had to end up doing a tutorial, a few had seen lao-band, a few had VSG patients but a bono fide Bypasser? Nope, never ever! I'm told my "BandAid Station" is adding Bariatrics 2019 or early 2920, they do have a new accredited and experienced in place, just doing general surgery at this point. But like Sgt Schultz from Hogan's Heroes," They Know nothing, They see Nothing" Finally I got enough fluid in that I could void, this pleased them and I was free to leave! Since then, although Dr Noria, my surgeon's partner that ❤doing endoscopies, told me not to be concerned about counts until my stricture is alleviated, I have endevored to be Q.S, on fluids and proteins , not easy on a restricted liquid diet , This morning my protein shake isvrepulsing me so I will heat up bone broth, good for me but I will need something else within 2 hours, never "sticks" with me. Oh I do yearn for purees and soft solids, just pho,euntil I am repaired, it All Comes Back Up and faster than I swallowed it.??Anyone want to come to my Pity Party? Only passing out Regrets Today.

Well Dang RnYBeyhive, I distinctly ordered you a smooth post surgery sail⛵and it does not seem as though it is that way. I am 2 weeks ahead of you and not in a better state. I have a stricture and 5 new ulcers in my pouch and on the back wall of the jejunem. Dr Noria went down on October 12th, attemted to dialate, found the ulcers, could only so far, didn't want provoke bleeding, now on Carafate every 6 hours, 6am-Noon- 6pm- Midnight, doubled my omeprazole to 2x daily, kept me on my resistricted Stage 2A diet, said if I kept up my meds, vitamins , minerals, fluids and 3z daily Zofran I can do this without harm in the long run.Oh yeah keep my protein to 60 or above.And the 26th I go for another EGJ, hopeful this time I will safely dialate, if not the second week of November? I tried a little protein shake with my morning meds, not sitting well. And to top it off, either from so much vomiting because only liquids go through at this point or the endoscopy tube, I have laryngitis. Instead of croaking like a frog?, I sound like his cousin, the Toad. I have people I should be talking to ,trying to resolve my housing situation and my son has to do my phoning. If I do regain my voice temporarily it fades in and out. Ah Life!

popsicles, sugar free popsicles, the tropical ones. Still having a couple a day, much longer since my surgery but having to go slow because of a stricture. They please when straight liquid doesnt!

I started with Wal-Mart Equate Multi, pretty nasty even stirred in applesauce. Now I have BariMelts from Bariatric Pal store, pretty okay, appreciate not having to grind them up because of dentures, but mostly use my prenatal vitamins, pill is small enough to easy swallow and I appreciate only having to take 1 daily. Works out with all the other meds and pills, still using my liquid calcium citrate, glorious no having to chew something into submission.??

So YOU did get the sleeve YOU wanted and had booked for? Outstanding!!!??

What I did was 6oz premier protein clear in the fruit punch flavor, 6 oz Minute Maid 15 fruit punch, then filled up my 16 oz cup with cold bottled water. Thinned things to a tolerable level for me.??

Keep posting your trials, sorrows and victories along the Weight Loss Road, and I think you will find you have a new. group,of friends, and these are especially good friends here. They have, ate or will be encountering equal things in their lives and can share a lot of advice. So Granmasleeve you have,made it home.?

And when I finally lose down to my goal weight I will have no frame of reference to compare to and I can't go back there and revisit. Please don't walk where I do now.?

My guess and only quasi-educated, the Hibiclens stuff they make you wash pre-surgery and probably use in surgery, Last time I used it, which was February 2017 it was so bad for me, my skin peeled like I had a sunburn on my leg, I had a knee replacement, not. a transplant like Tomkitten told our PCP, boy did he get corrected for that! So when I was having my RnY, I had to double-wash with liquid gold Dial, found out why I was instructed to scrub my navel, my surgeon uses it as one of his trocar ports!! But they are looking pretty fine at this point, even Big Red the biggest one is, lagging a little behind , the rest are witening down, he's a little red. But he was the biggest and baddest, I think he was where Dr Needleman put the tools that count!
