My Birthday
- My Birthday
I am about 9 months post-op and down to my goal weight (actually below). I have worked hard to get to where I am. My family bought a cake for my birthday which is upcoming. I have not cheated with any desserts ever!!!!!!!! Will it kill me to have a piece of cake? I know the answer to this but I feel super guilty even thinking about it. I can never go back to where I started. On one hand I know it won't kill me, on the other hand it's like I am relinquishing control.- 40yr olds...
I will be 41 in about a week and I had surgery 03/2018.- Disgusted
Everyone's body reacts differently to the surgery. We all have different metabolisms. Keep in mind you just lost about 3/4 of your stomach. Your body and your system has to take time to catch up to get used to this huge change. It will work, give it some time. Also, don't obsess over the scale, the first six weeks should be dedicated to your healing. The sleeve needs to heal. Follow the program that was given to you.- fears
I echo the sentiments of some of the other posters. My only regret is not doing it sooner. I am 8 months post op. The first month was difficult, but it was worth it. Looking at where I was a year ago and where I am today justifies my decision to have the surgery.- First day home
- How will you handle Thanksgiving?
I had a death in the family, so Thanksgiving canceled. I plan on having chinese food too. Probably steamed shrimp with veggies and some hot sauce on it. No rice. I have never craved hot sauce before VSG, now I use it quite often.- Crazy Progress Pics!!! Almost 5 months out!
Stunning, fabulous, amazing, beautiful, grand, great job!! Keep up the good work. Chicka Bow Bow- Do you have a Treat, what is it, and how often.
My guilty pleasure is........drumroll................sliced green apples w/peanut butter.- Forbes: Why high protein diets may be linked to Cancer

After waking up from surgery, and enduring the recovery room, I was wheeled to a non-bariatric floor because it was full. After getting situated. I decided to take it upon myself to go for a walk. Well, we all know where the gas they pump into you goes, I stopped let one rip for what seemed like 30 seconds. I then heard a voice behind me say "did someone start a lawnmower?". I was mortified and hobbled back to my room.- On the Subject of New Clothes....
I hated shopping before, I love shopping now. I actually bought a pair of 32 inch slim Levi's at Kohl's that I fit into. If you would of told me a year ago that I would be a 32 inch waist I would of told you that you were crazy.- New Friends
IG is @ heygoomba Non VSG related more life related. Just made it a few weeks ago. Looking for friends too.- The link between high protein diets and cancer
This seems more like a pissing contest rather than a true regard for other peoples health. It wreaks of, "I know more than you". It's basically the equivalent of "I know you are but what am I" but with fancier vocabulary. Not to name names or anything.- Instagram Friends!
I finally made an Instagram account, it is not VSG or WL specific, looking to add friends, Instagram/com/heygoomba Feel free to add me.- Has premier protein changed their recipe?
I noticed this too, mine lately have been watery almost. Not like a few months ago it was thicker.- Any March 2018 Sleevers?
March 19, 2018 checking in. I am doing well for the most part. I am way below my goal weight which I am not sure how I feel about. My doctors goal was 200, mine was 185, and I am 174. I am debating if I should just get down to 170 and see how I feel. Everyone keeps telling me to try and gain a few pounds back. How do I do that in a healthy manner? I eat plenty and I exercise 5 days a week. I am 89 lbs down since surgery and 112 overall.- Instagram Friends!

I am a 34 right now but my jeans and pants are getting big on me. I might have to try 32's. One thing I noticed is that jeans, khakis, dress pants all fit differently. I am a 34 with one, and some a 36 and vice versa. The madness of constantly having to buy new clothes is crazy.- Oh how the tables have turned......
I thought I would bump this thread. I hung out with my friend a few weekends ago. We went to a football game together. It feels so surreal being on the opposite end of the spectrum. What I mean by that is I no longer have to worry about the little things while being heavy such as walking long distances, worrying about sitting in chairs, and constantly being out of breath. For once, he was telling me to slow down! The walk from the parking lot tailgate to the stadium is significant, and when I was at my heaviest I would dread walking it. I really feel like am a totally different person, literally and figuratively..- Instagram Friends!
Ok, I just made one. Instagram.com/BuzzSleeved however I just deleted it because somehow Facebook friends were requesting to follow me, oy vey. - My Birthday
