I do love scrambled eggs and tolerate them well. I am actually doing much better. It's just a matter of figuring out what my new stomach likes and doesn't like. I ate 2 chicken wonton tacos at Apple Bees a week after this post (over a period of about 2 hours) and felt good all day. Eating very slowly also helped.

Lol...the struggle is real. I have to measure everything before I eat to make sure I do not overeat. The couple of times I know I ate too much, I only felt a slight fullness in my chest.

Hi - I had my surgery on 11/1 so a bit after you but I share all of the same feelings. Yesterday I had my 3 month checkup with the surgeon and felt MUCH better afterward so I will share with you: he told me that at 3 months they would expect to see 45% of excess weight gone. And they measure not from surgery date ( I've only lost 26 since surgery) but from your weight when you started the program. That made sense to me. So applying that math, I have lost 44% of my excess weight. Close, right??
If you apply that equation to your weight loss I think you are winning as well!! It looks to me that you have lost 42% of your total EXCESS ( using 266 as a starting point). Good job girl!!
Life does get heavy sometimes. And this process is work, no doubt about it. Just know that you are not alone.

What does “full” feel like for folks? I get a chest type pain but don’t feel full—- or is that my new full feeling?!

It's been six months since my bypass and here's where I'm at:
130 lbs lost (90 since surgery) 60 inches overall
I feel close to normal, though eating is still a bit of a negotiation.
I took my first long trip and the difference was amazing: no seat extender needed on the plane, much less leg swelling, able to walk around more easily. AND I was able to eat out for almost every meal! I bought stuff for Breakfast and Snacks to keep in my room--mostly high Protein stuff like yogurt and edamame and protein drinks--and then I just ordered whatever I wanted at restaurants, knowing that I might only eat a few bites. I took some back to the hotel for later, but most often, gave away my "doggie bag".
All in all, the travel felt good.
I have started swimming, which is great, because my back and leg injuries are still preventing me from doing too much more. I'm looking forward to those being healed and managed so I can walk more and take some exercise classes and yoga.
As I start to be able to eat more, some of the old feelings have emerged--like worrying when I'll stop losing as I eat more calories, and fighting the temptation to snack on high carb stuff. I'm trying to just keep practicing being aware of my hunger levels and whether I'm head hungry or stomach hungry. Even though I knew all along that the surgery wouldn't necessarily change behaviors, I still feel a little sad to be back to managing these feelings. I've avoided eating sweets like candy or cake, and Pasta, because I don't want to know if I can eat them yet!!
I'm almost at the first goal I set for myself, back when I couldn't imagine that I could ever be 225lbs again. I'm hesitant to set another goal at this point, but I'm looking forward to 180lbs. Right now I'm just losing with the food choices I'm able to make because of the surgery. When I start having to restrict calories in order to lose, I'll think more about having a fixed goal.

I read so many horror stories before surgery. So far, my story is a good one. I am completely pain free and I haven't had many problems. I have lost about 15lbs. I figure that is pretty good for not being active. I have been pretty tired and I have no energy. I am told this gets better after week three. For once in my life, I am not hungry all the time. I still get some cravings but I just practice stopping the thoughts and that helps. I am looking forward to eating soft foods next week. I am also looking forward to more weight loss and to start seeing my clothes get to big.

Yes I think that sounds pretty reasonable. I'm 4 weeks out and eating 3oz Protein meals so by 7/8 weeks you sound about right x

My doc doesn't want patients drinking caffeine for the first six months post-op because it can be an appetite stimulant. I've been drinking Decaf since a couple weeks pot-op and I really don't miss the caffeine. Very surprising.
