  1. I'm so happy they found something that seems to work! Hope your feeling better soon.
  2. I wouldn't fret, from what I've noticed is the bigger you are the faster you loose your small already lol. Once your able to work out and be more active you'll see more Weightloss. A lot of girls say that once they were able to eat real food they started loosing more strange huh. Keep your head up ! I found eating lots of times throughout the day has sped up my Weightloss. When I was almost getting anything in the scale wasn't moving but now that I'm eating it's dropping quickly.
  3. I found when I started eating more I started loosing weight twice as quick, if your not eating enough your body thinks your starving and hangs on to it. The first week and a half I drink even if I was hungry to get enough fluids but when I started eating when hungry and drinking anytime it crossed my mind even when not thirsty I lost way more this week,go figure right. As far as the don't drink before or after eating at least for now I'm drinking anytime I can and it doesn't seem to effect my eating seeing how after I eat I can only get a sip or two anyhow. Try eating more and see how it works.
  4. I guess your best bet is just to go by what or wheather you've consumed liquid already or not. I think I'm mentally hungry but not physically. Personally when I'm full I burp up whatever it is I'm consuming at the time. That tells me I've had enough.
  5. You will do great! When a door closes a window opens ?. Keep us updated I'm so happy to hear your still able to have weight loss surgery
  6. I've been having sore muscles too. I think it's because I'm not getting the recommended fluids and proteins in yet. It can make you anemic
  7. I had surgery the 26th and am feeling great! Definitely need to work on my water and shake intake but I'm doing great! Will be weighing myself Friday to hopefully be down some, but I know the scale can be an enemy so I'm only doing weekly. I am thinking about measuring myself which I haven't done yet. I do get nauseous from time to time though which I have zofran for. All in all I can't complain. I was so worried about the pain because of my opiate blockers but the nausea was worse then the pain, the pain at first was pretty rough but after I woke up it wasn't too bad past the initial time following surgery. I don't think it was that bad though and I would do it again. I'm so happy to join the WLS family ?
  8. I got it!!!!! Just got out of hospital a couple hours ago. Pain after I woke up was pretty bad since the whole opioids blocker thing but that passed and nausea was an issue but got that under control last night. I was so worried they would find some reason I couldn't get the surgery but everything went well! I got some gnarly scars but it's not like I didn't already have a marked up belly, and a small price to pay. I am so happy I still can't believe it's real. Thankyou for the support guys I really am greatful for y'all
  9. I definitely will! I will probably pop on just to let y'all know how I'm doing if the pain isn't too bad , just a matter of hours now lol. 15 hrs I'm due at the hospital hopefully my wait won't be to long
  10. Omg Thankyou!!! I really hope they have this at the hospital I'm going to. I'll find out tomorrow. I just looked this medication up and it looks perfect for my situation.
  11. That's a BIG difference ?, don't be discouraged it's super early on yet and from what I've read and researched a lot of ppl don't feel restriction and start dropping weight quickly until they're on actual food instead drinking all your calories which in turn probably doesn't keep you full? It's still SUPER early and I'm positive nothing stretched. Keep ur chin up as long as your loosing your going in the right direction and everyone's different.
  12. I will definitely research to see if that has any adverse affects with my methadone, you guys are definitely easing my mind.Ty Swanton
  13. I am EXTREMELY excited about my upcoming surgery this Monday the 26th, I'm on opiate blockers meaning pain meds just do not work for me and I'm nervous about the pain. I am sure I'll survive and I knew this going in. I just find having the surgery outweighs not having it. I can't wait to meet some of my fellow wls peeps and build a strong support place I can go , here with y'all. I know my surgery isn't a cure all but because of it I've had the strength to stick to my two week protein shake diet pre op and that's something I'm super proud of. I truly believe this is the tool to help me get my weight under control and help with better eating habits. You guys here give me hope and I can't get enough of your stories, I haven't commented much but I've read numerous posts just sucking it all in. Thankyou guys for sharing your experiences as they don't fall on deaf ears.
  14. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou, you have made me feel much better about this. It's soon now and I'll definitely keep everyone updated
  15. I only hope to be as positive and do as well as you have! Your an inspiration to us all.
  16. Putting a seatbelt on comfortably in my husbands ancient truck. I guess there wasn't allowance for big girls back in the day when they started making seat belts. Yes the one in my car fits thankgod but I still habg over the clasp which is uncomfortable so that's one of the little things I'm looking forward to. What keeps me going though is being able to shop for clothes and or undergarments without having to find the absolute biggest size
  17. Wow you have a way with words lol, can you tell me how pain was for u?
  18. I am currently on methadone therefore no pain meds will work for me. I made it through a cesarean but it was so painful I swore I'd never have another child no joke, is this something that will be a major problem or something one can handle? I'm having the sleeve
  19. Me tooc four days for our big day
