My DS was with Dr Wilhelmy this week and I think they did good by me. My only complaint was that at times it felt like the coordinators (Yolanda, Rosella) were the ones dispensing medical advice and they are not medical staff. For example taking the sedative from a pill pack from a grandmother ina pink sweatsuit felt very shady, but it did all work out fine. The phlebotomist and the IV starter both did a fine job and that is very important to me.

I’m scheduled for the DS on December 17th. I start the preop liquid diet on the 12th. Starting today I am stopping my bioidentical hormones in advance of surgery.

What did you decide and how are you doing now? I’ll be having the DS next month and so far I’ve told 3 friends and that’s it. When I told my work I’d be out for surgery for 4 weeks, my boss asked me what kind of surgery I was having. I stalled for a minute by saying, December 17th like I’d misheard then she repeated the question and I just gestured to my entire torso so that people who want to speculate can just think what they want.
