At your age, you really need to talk to your doctor and see what they doctor will suggest for you.
We cannot give you any advise as you are still growing and going on diet as a teen is not suggested.
Surgery is normally reserved for those who tried to lose weight multiple time but regained what they lost.
But keeping a food journal doesn't hurt and you could show it to your doctor so they can help you go on the right track. It also help to realize and sometime stop yourself of eating something you shouldn't (If you watch secret eater you will see what I mean the participant says they do know know why they are gaining weight and the show watch all of their habit to reveal how much they actually eat )

Technical problem at one of their hospital, the surgeon office I go to have 3 places he can operate.
I seriously don't know what I will do. At least with the long liquid diet I am hardly hungry.
It takes me over an hour per meal I hope it will stay this way until surgery and that I don't get tempted with fat and sugar. I will focus on Protein but I feel abandoned by all of this.

According to the internet: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the most common causes of chronic liver disease worldwide. Treatment recommendations for NAFLD are aimed towards weight reduction, thereby reducing insulin resistance. Unfortunately, lifestyle modifications have not yielded long-term success, while durable weight loss is routinely achieved with bariatric surgery.
    https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/763056
So what this summary says it that lifestyle modifications such as dieting and exercise have not yielded long-term success but bariatric surgery has.
Another article says: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is a progressive disease with potential evolution to liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma.
Another article says: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the most common causes of chronic liver disease. It encompasses a spectrum of conditions associated with lipid deposition in hepatocytes. It ranges from steatosis (simple fatty liver), to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH–fatty changes with inflammation and hepatocellular injury or fibrosis), to advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis. Studies suggest that although simple fatty liver is a benign condition, NASH can progress to fibrosis and lead to end-stage liver disease. The disease is mostly silent and is often discovered through incidentally elevated liver enzyme levels. It is strongly associated with obesity and insulin resistance and is currently considered by many as the hepatic component of the metabolic syndrome. NASH cirrhosis is now one of the leading indications for liver transplantation in the United States.
I underwent RNY gastric bypass surgery because my health was deteriorating rapidly. I dieted and exercised and still could not shed the pounds but instead continued to gain the weight. I had the surgery to correct my health conditions. The surgery corrected a number of my health conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, acid reflux (GERD). It even corrected my asthma condition. If your focus is to become healthy and live a long productive life, then I would suggest the surgery. I dropped 120 pounds after surgery and my BMI went to normal. Weight loss was just a little gravy on top of health improvements.
One of the factors that enter into the equation is cost. The operation is expensive and therefore it is important to have insurance that covers the operation. Therefore the guideline requirements from your insurance policy will dictate how easy it is to obtain this surgery.
Many insurance policies are written very similar, so this will give you an idea:
Surgical treatment of obesity (bariatric surgery) is covered only if:
    - eligible enrollee is 18 of age or over
    - clinical records support a body mass index of 40 or greater (or 35-40 when there is at least one co-morbidity related to obesity). Applicable co-morbid conditions include the following:
    * Type II diabetes mellitus (by American Diabetes Association diagnostic criteria).
    * Refractory hypertension (defined as blood pressure of 140 mmHg systolic and or 90 mmHg diastolic) despite medical treatment with maximal dose of three antihypertensive medications.
    * Refractory hyperlipidemia (acceptable levels of lipids unachievable with diet and maximum doses of lipid lowering medications).
    * Obesity–induced cardiomyopathy.
    * Clinically significant obstructive sleep apnea.
    * Severe arthropathy of the spine and or weight bearing joints (when obesity prohibits appropriate surgical management of joint dysfunction treatable but for obesity).
    - Documentation of failure to lower the body mass index within the last 12 months through a medically supervised program of diet and exercise of at least 6 months duration.
So if your health insurance policy was similar to mine, you would not be able to qualify because of age; but the moment you turned 18, you would get a green light because your BMI is over 40. So the best advise I can give you is to dig out your health insurance policy and read the fine print.

    1-4: liquid

Can't wait to have post-op food. I am on day 26 of pre-op liquid. Getting my sleeve on monday and it is about time.

I am also 4 months post op as of the 7th. Although my weight loss has slowed dramatically, I am still losing pounds here and there. I am also still losing inches. I will lose a pound a week for 2-3 weeks, then have a 3 or 4 pound loss the next week. I don't even worry about it. I just keep on doing the damn thing. I do have a cheat meal every week or so. I log everything, and hold myself accountable though. My cheat meals are normally modified to make them healthier as well. I will have a slice or two of veggie pizza on cauliflower crust, a chicken fajita taco salad with no shell or dressing, or a half turkey cheeseburger "protein style" with as much veggies as I can get.
I am only 14 pounds from my goal, and I'm not letting junk keep me from reaching it in the next 2 months.
Don't worry about stalls. They are going to happen. You don't need resets either. Just go back to what you were doing in the first place. No junk food snacking, and logging and weighing everything. If you stopped being active, well get moving. Everyone should be active anyway. That heart needs exercise.

I have been on my pre-op liquid only diet for now 24 days (my surgeon is asking for 4 weeks because my BMI is over 50...). For me the first day was hard because I hated the taste but I got used to it by the second day.
I remind myself it is for a safe surgery and it is for my health. I took some broth on day 1 & 2 just so I could take all the shakes.
It's not easy, but it is also a preparation for our future life after surgery. I won't lie, I had MANY cravings but I stayed stubborn on not cheating and instead I was telling my SO my craving (that somehow triggered him more then me...). I kept a journal, that I will continue in post-op for my food in take but I write how I feel and so on and it does help.
If you have a craving try to change your mind, do something else and worst case scenario sleep it off. Better have more sleep then not following your surgeon plan.
    Best of luck!

Having a stall or weight loss being slower is perfectly normal. If you are sure f what you eat that it is the right choices and know all your macro (a food journal especially in the first year is very important) weight will come down eventually. At 4 months you are still in the honeymoon phase. Let your body catch up and measure your body.
You might not lose on the scale but your body might be changing.
And if you have any worries about your diet, go see your nutritionist use all your tools.

I'm saving up in case I need it ever since I first meet with my surgeon. My surgery is covered but not plastic surgery.
If I do decide to do it I will most probably do it out of the country if I find a nice office with a great rep.
I lost almost 70lbs at the moment and my skin isn't too much of an issue but I don't know how it will be after surgery. I prefer plan ahead and hey if I don't need it I will plan a nice vacation instead

Mine is for dec 18, I am only doing shakes been on it since nov 20.
I swear some days I wanted to just taste a food I like and spit it out just so my craving is dealt with... But i've been REALLY good even if my boyfriend eats delicious meals infront of me I didn't cave in and stuck to the shakes. Office brought us Cookies and I resisted
I am not hungry on the Protein Shakes it does upset my stomach at times tho. Another 14 days and I can say goodbye to those shakes and hello to broths! I am looking forward to broth soooo much.
I started buying my Jello and broth for my post op

    I had a day 1 and 2 "mess"
I couldn't handle the Protein Shake taste so I make a chicken broth Soup to help me with the shake.
On day 3 I managed to endure it without a broth help (I am not allowed to have broth). So in my defense I see most program let people have broth lol and I have a 4 week pre-op liquid diet so that broth will not affect anything at all. But I will be honest with my surgeon once I see him. I hope he won't be dissapointed.... I think he will be at the fact I didn't eat any veggies but heck if i'm not hungry I won't eat more.

Well, you have to do what you think is best, but think about it this way. If you had a good friend who was an alcoholic, and they decided to sober up, would you sit down with a six pack and drink it in front of them the first week they're trying to stay sober? If you're a good friend, then probably not. You're not asking him to quit eating forever, you're just asking him to not chow down right in front of you while you are literally starving in preparation for surgery.
Anyway, sorry for throwing my 2 cents at you. I'm on my liquid diet right now too, so I know how hard it is. If my husband came home with a sack of cheeseburgers I think I'd have to kill him.

As long as you are following your pre-op diet all should be fine. I don't know how it is in the states exacly...
For me I had no weight to lose before pre-op (but I lost around 55lbs), and they didn't ask for any weight lost during pre-op, all they want really is your liver to shrink so they may operate you safely. Stall are normal.
I am on liquid diet since 14 days now, and I stalled 3 times already.

Ok, yes they're disgusting. Horrible, in fact.
BUT...and this is a big BUT.... I feel SO much better than I have since starting the liquid diet. My brain fog is much better...just night and day. I'm not concerned about being lightheaded driving anymore...I feel like myself.
So while I don't like the taste of the fishy torture gulps.... they've made me feel so darned good, I have to say I like them.
Just figured good news deserved a mention:)

    sounds ... very..... tasty.
But hey everytime you take one, you are a step closer to surgery!
I will have my surgery in 18 days, liquid diet is "less" bad but still sucks. I get home wanting all kind of "delicious" greasy food. I crave them sooooo bad. But the good news in in 10 days I lost 10lbs! hoping to lose 10 more before surgery but if I don't it's fine too.

And my weight is stalling.... lost 9lbs and now nothing for 4 days ....

7.5/28 days. I am so envious at people who only have two week's from what I saw normally people have 1-2 week and not 2-4 week like my surgeon office does....
