Are you doing another challenge? I am feeling major shame that I have gained back 37 pound from the 105 I lost. I am eating just about anything. Everything I said I wouldn’t do again, I am doing. I need support.
  2. I am in the middle of my second week and am on full liquids. I am confused about how to eat. The first week was all about hydration. Sipping all day. With full liquids in second week, do I continue to sip the thicker liquids all day or treat them like a meal? My doctor told me to work on getting the proteins in now. Split pea soup or a thinner protein shake can be very filling.
  3. Yes, I believe it to be water weight. I hadn’t thought of the hospital fluids or edema. I t does look like my hands have deflated!
  4. I had my surgery 6 days ago. As of a few minutes ago, I have lost 16 pounds. Surgery weight was 270. I have had a lot of diarrhea and haven’t a test for C-Diff today, but I’m pretty sure that’s not it. I don’t have any of those symptoms. I have been getting my liquids in without a problem and feel pretty good. I’m just wondering if 16 is a lot?

    Post OP 4 days

I’m 4 days out from my sleeve and I have had a full range of emotions. I don’t want to be around my family when they eat. Like you, I am not hungry or want what they have, but I just don’t want to even see the food. It’s weird for me to see it, but have no desire to eat it. I think that is what is throwing me emotionally. I may be expecting my old feeling of food lust to surface and their not. I know I’m rambling!!! i felt unmotivated a few days before the surgery. I think it was nerves. It did help me to see the scale moving so quickly. I am curious. Do you feel worried about messing up when you get to “real” food, rather than liquids?
  6. I just had my surgery. Home less than a day and I am feeling very strange. Kinda like “What have I done? I’m going to fail.” I was so ready for this, but backslid on my preop diet what if I can’t stay with this? My head is not clear Arghh!
