  1. I don't think so...just keep up the testing..if they give you the approval...then I would trust that and do it. Good luck!
  2. I haven't been banded yet, thats on monday....but when I had a c-section i used a pillow to get up down just like gunn4ya. It helped alot!
  3. That would have hurt my feelings also....I probably would have spouted off to my husband...fine, I will find a man who can carry me...your to damn weak!! Wouldn't be my most mature moment....but I promise you I probably would have said something like that! LOL!
  4. Okay..so i have skipped a few days on here with the journal. I have lost 18 lbs as of this morning. I am soooooo excited!!! My mom, sister, and brother-in-law are all coming in town this weekend..so it shouldn'tbe that hard to stay on track...they will watch me like a hawk. I haven't cheated AT ALL...since I went to the DR office. I wanted to really bad, on day 5 I think it was...but I have since recovered!! So surgery is on Monday...:0 I am nervous but ready...here I go.....125 here I come!

  6. My cousin is pregnant with the band. They tell you to wait atleast a year after the band is in place due to that is your "optimal weight loss period." BUT....I guess losing 45 lbs, got her more active in bed...and she is pregnant 4 months after having the band. She also has PCOS. She is now 3 months pregnant and doing well!!!
  7. Are your medical problems due to getting the lapband??? Just wondering.
  8. Are we married to the same man? lol!
  9. Hey guys I was down another 2 lbs today.....thats 18 all together! WOO-HOO!!!!! I have surgery on MOnday!!
  10. thats not my husband!! He was not thinking of the holiday...trust me..and I forgot to mention that it was 8:00 at night when he came home. He was just being a smartass. But thanks for trying to give him the benefit of the doubt!
  11. I am having surgery on Monday (the 20th) with Dr Morton in Nashville, TN. I had a BMI of 35 when I went in and complained of my ankles and feet hurting really bad (which they did) and that I have several bouts of high blood pressure but was not on Medication. I was approved through the office and through the insurance within 2 weeks. I am having it on Monday am so excited. The office is great at getting insurance to pay for the surgery. Let me know if you want more info.
  12. I am very sorry to hear of this horrible loss. Your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
  13. hmmm......Airbrush..just like all the other models airbrush their not so wonderful parts.
  14. Wow...glad to hear you are better....You were starting to worry me about the whole constipation thing...and PBing. I get banded on the 20th, and I thought Holy Crap.........what am I getting myself into. Congrats on the band!
  15. Hey Feb Bandsters....I was down another pound today..:clap2: So that makes 16 pounds all together...since I started my pre-op. My surgery is Monday with Dr Morton in Nashville, TN. As anyone else scared as hell??? Cause I sure am!
  16. He is a smartass and we have constantly picked on each other for years...and we have had counseling for it. We had a sit down last night and I busted out into tears telling him how bad he hurt me and that I am really having a tough time, and support would be nice. He said that he was sorry, it was just his since of humor! I told him that I saw nothing funny about it, and that maybe we should all start making jokes around the house about his hair loss (which is his bigggest insecurity)! It shut him up...and he said OK..I really am sorry and he got kind of red in the eyes. I let it go after that!
  17. I for sure think Anna Nicole SMith had it done. And Star!! O'well who cares...more power to them....although I think it sucks they lie to make money!
  18. OKAY...Question.... My husband has been somewhat supportive through this whole pre-op diet but he just doesn't get it sometimes....Like last night.... He walked in last night and said "Gosh, I thought you would have a big Valentines dinner ready for us"! I was already in a horrible mood because I was starving for something cooked. I snapped back..."Screw YOu"...and he said "oh' my gosh get a sense of humor, will ya?" I was soooo mad, and still am if ya can't tell...he always says things like that. Like so I thought we'd go to Stoney River and get a filet and some carmelized mashed potatoes" oh I wanted to chop his head off. He thinks he's being funny! Am I over reacting? :Banane40: :angry
  19. WOO-HOO down another pound!!! So that makes 15 all together. I have surgery on Monday, I am getting a little nervous!!! Still starving, but still losing. Green On Oprah said that in order to lose weight you have to feel "hunger" He said that gnawling feeling you get like you feel like you could eat the house down, is your body burning fat...and if you give in to that feeling you have sabotaged the weight loss for that moment or day. Kinda put things into perspective!
  20. Hey, I am having surgery on Feb 20th!! I started the pre-op on Feb 9th. I have lost 14lbs!! I am starving to death...I think every post I put on this site mentions that I AM STARVING!! My stomach growls and rumbles 24/7 and physically hurts b/c I am so hungry!! Anyway I guess it will be worth it!
  21. Hey, I told my boss...and I somewhat regret it!!! He is very supportive, however, we went to a business dinner and he brought over a lady who had GBS and said we needed to talk. He told her I was having a similar surgery and started telling her everything.....The lady was as uncomfortable as I was!!! I Wish I would not have told anyone, but I am not a private person so its hard to keep my mouth shut!!! BUT...several people have given their opinions, that I didn't care to hear!
  22. My Doc told me it was 1-2 lbs a week also. If you kept up losing 8-12 lbs a week that would be unhealthy I would think. It would be great, but unhealthy!
  23. Hey Jill, congrats on hitting your goal weight yesterday...your stats are awesome!
  24. I don't mind at all.... I am a little under 5'4 and weighed 210 when I got approved through my insurance. My insurance is United Health Care. They pay 90% max out of pocket is $1500.00. I feel very blessed. I do have high blood pressure, and was knocking on Diabetes door and that is why I was approved with a BMI of 36. BUT I am just excited I got approved!:clap2:
  25. Star Jones, I feel doesn't have to tell anybody about her surgery if she doesn't want to...She has rights just like we do!! HOWEVER.....She shouldn't write a book about "her Weightloss" and make money off of what is a lie. She is leading innocent people thinking they can lose as much weight as she did and as fast as she did by however she says she did it!!! What a crock!! I really don't care about Star Jones, and how she lost her weight really...but i feel sorry for the people who Believe she lost it by strenuous diet and exercise...and have her as a role model!
