  1. Yeah, the water loading really does work! I don't know if you have a bigger than normal pouch capacity or not, but for those that do, it's really critical to follow these rules. Cuz they do work. Also the knowledge of what's in your "bank" and how much you spend on each food is so important. Few people get that. But I believe it to be true at least in part--especially during the losing phase--maybe a little less important in the maintenance phase. TY. Every pounds has been hard fought. I can say that for certain! And I'm still a work in progress. Still working slowly toward Goal #2.
  2. First of all you never come off as an a-hole. Cuz you aren't one! I'm probably just knee deep in transference cuz I AM an a-hole. And I know I shouldn't rebound from poor choices and do a full day fast cuz some of my nutrients are pretty low right now. But I want the satisfaction of knowing that I AM in control of my choices and what goes down my pie-hole! And I love your 99 red luftballoons!
  3. I actually think it's filled with great great information. I use the rules and the water-loading technique along with the intention of spacing meals, not thinking of hunger as a cue for eating. Most days it works. Some days it doesn't.
  4. Bahahahaha! That's what you say when you comment on people's threads where they are doing jack-hole kinda, ill-advised antics and you wanna be nice!
  5. I think it's #15? Transformation Tuesday and today is the 15th.
  6. Ok, due to poor behavior this weekend, I'm gonna try for a 24 hour fast. Next meal will hopefully be tonight around 7:30pm. Lots and lots of black coffee, green tea and matcha!
  7. #14. Biggest NSV so far, being able to walk some place and go for group walks with the fam and not be the last person in the group (necessarily), or limit the excursion cuz of what I can or can't do! #15. Will be taken Thursday = next day I wear real clothes, do mah hair and make-up. Yes...why yess I am THAT person who works from home and in the winter wheres pjs, screwed up hair and no make-up for days and days. Ok wait! I found one from our Fatsgiving field trip to the state capital! Yeeeehaaawwww!

  9. I hear you can make 'em! I meant to try it this weekend with a slice of Boar's Head Lacy Swiss, but forgot. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjU_5nY0O3fAhWL6YMKHVc5BPYQFjACegQIDRAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.reddit.com%2Fr%2Fketorecipes%2Fcomments%2F6p50ne%2Fno_carb_cheese_wraps_made_in_only_15_seconds%2F&usg=AOvVaw2myn9bJvQDgpTs2O5F9gT3
  10. following! Great thread as per usual!
  11. I've never tried jicama....what does it taste like? Bitter? Sweet? I'm going to grab some of those this weekend!! Thanks!! They have a lovely crunchy delicacy and a slightly sweet under-ripe Asian pear taste and texture. Not overtly sweet, just very filled with liquid like watermelon.
  12. #12 How I Eat Now I measure everything. I use 1/2c measuring cup for protein and one for low glycemic veg. Then each one goes on the scale and I weigh out my food so I know what fits within the 1/2 cup volume--about 2 to 2.5oz protein per meal and about 1.5-2oz veg per meal and a small amount of fat. I log and record all food. Protein first. I use a saucer and a salad fork and try to take small bites, stopping 1/2 way through. I water load up to meal time, then no water for at least an hour afterward. I'm now eating 5-6 meals to get my food in for the day without going over my 1cup max volume--about every 3 hours. Dailys: 600-800 cals; 60-70g protein; 20g net carbs; 30-50g fat

  20. Tacos for breakfast? Why sure... No afters. This is a little less than 1c food. Jicama "tortilla"... Breakfast Taco (leftover chicken/feta from a Greek salad = meal 4 of the salad that never ends...Gah! I hate leftovers so bad. Although this taco was yum!) And I'm a major fan of the jicama "tortilla".
  21. How are you getting to Lauderdale?
