  1. Yep take your PPI acid meds, drink lots. Sometimes we just have hungry periods! Also make sure you're getting all your lean protein in and keep your carbs low mostly from veggies!!! No beans or rice!
  2. Congrats!!!! You look FABulous!!!!
  3. Sure why not. If you don't have a prob with carbs like I do. I love the Zeroodles that @Alex Brecher carries in the Bariatric Pal Store. So damn good! Seriously. This one is the bomb.com! Love both the angel hair and spaghetti!
  4. Trust the process, your doctor/team, and your surgery. I know that comes with practice and time. I'm just encouraging you to take deep breaths, walk, drink water (lots), walk some more, breathe some more, eat on your plan, sleep, have fun, love much and in a month or so you will be in onederland! You got this.
  5. Because this weight loss and maintenance game is about changing habits of a lifetime that got us to the Obesity Ball in the first place. It would be so easy if we never could eat these old foods we used to adore so much, without repercussions like getting sick or something. But reality is you will be able to eat WAY more of that stuff than is good for you, and most likely you will still have a preference for it over healthy/clean foods...and you will have to fight not to eat it with more and more frequency and abandon.
  6. Sadly, yes. You will. More's the pity.
  7. Wait. Are you SERIOUSLY daring to question the weight loss surgery gods by being concerned with a 10lb loss in 3 weeks???? *inserting hysterical laughter* Listen...10lbs in 3 weeks...I hear choirs of angels singing in heavenly anthem. What do you hear?
  8. Ok, here's 1st Brekky, 2nd Brekky, and mid-morning matcha break! Will be back later today with more "riveting" food action! Protein Latte The food as it was served to me. Holy crap--alotta food! My portion after I gave 1/2 or more of it away and traded for some avocado! My portion after I ate my 3/4-1cup of food Mid-morning matcha break (cheers @GreenTealael)--hey, why does your's look so much greener/prettier? Mine is a greenish brown powder (organic from Vitacost).
  9. @GreenTealael So funny about the green tea! I'm drinking a cup of matcha right now. "Mid-morning" break! @MIZ60 I'm so sad to hear about your sweet friend! Prayers for a full recovery. Chemo SUX!!! LOL on being intimidated - me too! Maybe you should come here and we go together with our boys!?! We have TONS of gorgeous and very authentically intimidating Asian markets complete with fish swimming and crabs, crabbing! Bitter melon...well hells! I'm gonna have to go read more. TY for the link!!!
  10. In GI doc waiting room! ? laughing what’s left of my booty off!
  11. Haha! Jinx! You owe me a cuppa! ? we were posting at same time!
  12. Woooooohhhhooooo green tea rules!!! So coinkydink or not? I notice weight loss on days after I drink a teapot (Chinese size) full of green tea! ?
  13. Yay girl! Congrats!!! You look amazing. Great job!
  14. And btw, it comes across as demanding. You are not having surgery in the next 10 minutes. Take a breath. Like slow down. Also the search feature should be your best friend, cuz a lot of your questions have been asked and answered...
  15. Um, I never even knew about that until about 6 weeks ago. I have been here I think around a year or more? Never ever knew. I have eleventy billion points. And posting like a ho just to gain points seems kinda sketchy to me and kinda abuses the priviledge that Alex gives to us. If people abuse it, they will go away. Then yeah, gee thanks.
  16. And now I'm more confused than ever, cuz maybe the problems with swallowing and epigastric pain are just common to us all, only I'm just now feeling them. So it's all a things that make you go, "Hmmmm."
  17. Yep. It's what I've tried to describe to you. That it suddenly wakes up around month 3 or 4...
  18. I want to laugh at your incredulity and congrat you with jazz hands all at the same time!! Well played!! Well played!
  19. Goya powder="white people" powder hehehehe
  20. Ok, no afters, but I'm hard on the trail of my 6/7 (6 under 7)=6 mini meals that maximize nutrition and keep calories under 700 for the day. Wooohooo. Can I do it? This was B2 (2nd brekky). B1 was the Egg Foldover I made up above but didn't finish. I will finish the rest of it with my soup during lunch in 3 hours. 2nd meal was 3 hours after B1 and was just starting to feel a little peckish. This is 1cup of salad. I ate the whole thing...so no afters.
  21. Cheers Queen Matcha! I'm sure I'm doing this wrong, but I added a squeeze of lemon and some vanilla liquid stevia. Better, but not as good as the Lemonade Crystal Lite Drink Stix sprinkle I used yesterday.
  22. See I read this as: "Worried About After Life" and then I was like, "Well hells! Aren't we all?!!!" (I seem to be drivin' the bus to Hell most days...just sayin'...) bahahahaha! Relax. Totes norm! The life AFTER will be one where you still have to worry about what you eat, rather than what you can't eat or have to give up. You will lament at some point, that you can still eat all the crap in the world with little NO restriction, while eating real healthy food fills you up too fast. Cruel Irony thy name is Life.
