Its totally normal to feel the way you do. I am just over 3 months since my surgery but it does get better!

For the first few weeks, I felt the same, as though there just wasn't enough time in the day to get all the calories and liquid in, but you do have to keep trying.

Don't worry too much in the very early days about the calories, just remember to eat your Proteins first, followed by the veg and then if you can manage it, carbs. I aim for three meals a day with two healthy Snacks.
I have read on here that keeping hydrated will aid your weight loss as your body needs fluids to flush the fat out. The whole reason we are doing this is to get rid of that fat so days when I am struggling and really have no desire to drink, I make an effort as I keep thinking if I drink more, I will flush more fat out

    I'm 3 months and I eat about 1200 - 1400 a day, no problems.

And I will tell you from experience that Snacks is not the problem. Snacks are almost necessary in the early stages to meet your nutritional goals. Unless you have a Bariatric NUT, which I'd be surprised if you do, they don't have a firm grasp on our stomach capacity and how our anatomy is limiting. I've had to educate my NUT on certain things. I'm not saying they all do, but they forget that the things that work for regular people who are dieting, or eating healthy, don't always work for us. There is nothing wrong with snacks to meet your goals.
I don't want to toot my own horn but I lost 100lbs 5 months post op, 128lbs overall. And I eat 3 snacks per day. My typical meal plan looks like this:
    8:00a- breakfast
    11:00a- snack
    1:30p- lunch
    4:00p- snack
    7:00p-dinner
9:00p- snack (almost always is FairLife milk)
Obviously times vary, but very typical for me to have 3 snacks per day.

You didn't write this to me, rather my,BARI bud Crazie,Connie but there are partcles of wisdom here I also can use.I am on the immediate glide path to surgery it will be September,5th, I know from my Pre surgery attempts to,lose, I have the BMR,of a depressed slug so I will also,be a S-L-O-W,loser bit even if I don't win speed, records I will still lose. Took me 6-7 months to lose 35 lbs from my high weight, in the long run it shouldn't matter if it takes 18 months instead of a year. I will be becoming thinner, more fit, more healthy and I wouldn't have that without this major surgery. So I still shall be a winner too.

I was shopping yesterday, looking in the clearance section for clothing, and a saleswoman stopped me and said, “Are you shopping for yourself? Because if so, those clothes won’t fit you. You need to shop over on that side of the store,” and she pointed me away from plus sizes to regular and petite sizes. She was right. I’m a size 10-12 now, but I keep forgetting! 😊

Going from a 48" wait to 34" Having to remove 4 links from my watch band This conversation - Me: "Honey, did you pick me up anything while you were at the clothing store?" Wife: "NO. I'm afraid to buy you clothes because they will be too big by the time I get them home!" This picture VVVVV

I agree, I also used to compare myself with similar weight people who started around the same time as I did, It has driven me mad in the past that I was losing so slowly compared to others. I have lost 38lbs since surgery and people similar to me have lost up to 60!
However, I am also a realist so I just carry on eating Protein, drinking fluids and walking every day. I am very very grateful that I have lost 38lbs in the last three months as I could not have achieved that on my own, no way!
Keep doing what you are doing, it will work out in the end x
Also, check out the pic below, it tells you what the guidelines are for how much weight is reasonable to lose according to your starting weight.

I had to go to another building for work today. I’ve been to this other office before; the last time was right before surgery. Well, the office chairs that they have there are more narrow than they are at my office, and in the past it’s been an issue. The arms of the chair would dig into my hips, which made sitting very uncomfortable. Well, today I sat in one of those chairs, and there was no digging! I was able to sit very comfortably! Yay!

Lots of weird food aversions early on. Most of them went away completely. I pretty much have the same likes and dislikes. I just don't like things being too sweet now.

Thank you Kat0000 and Gingersnap112, odd Gingersnaps was one of my son's programs. Think he may have had a wee crush on Emily Perkins. At any rate it,is wonderful,to know I have 2 nice friends following me. It was a very, nice exam etc I had today, with Dr Needleman. He is as nice as I hoped he would be, he was amazed at how much I knew already, actually didn't learn as much as some because I am so,prepared but did glean some information to fill in the gaps Every challenge he presented, I believe I can accomplish. I really, feel like we are a team willing to work for me.
Yeah he is a very busy guy, but he has this way of making each of us feel we are the most important patient in the 🌎to him. That's not, something easily taught, it comes from within.
He's maybe 49-50 years old, getting gray a little, but cares and is approachable tous. Much better person than that first Asswhat surgeon I met at the previous place. And I feel very safe in his care. He was reading the whole list of bad things that can happen and I'm shaking my head NO. He asked me why, I told him nothing bad would happen, he is too good a surgeon, he would not want to mess up his record and my whole day by a calamity.
Oh some of the things I have heard on Bariatric Pal are so funny, one woman was worried she would talk about ex-husbands and lovers while under anesthesia. Don't know if I helped when I told her she would have a breathing tube down her throat and couldn't say a word. Another was concerned about people who. might see her unclothed. Pish tosh, good ole Frust8 is going to be lying,on her back, arms secured so I don't slip off the table, belly pumped up so high I look like I'm expected octuplets and I should whether, people know the shade of every hair, on my body? Ask me , I'm 72, people who knew secrets about me are long gone. Got little if any shame in my game, yeah I'm a redhead all over, what does it matter if 8 to 10 more people know that? Unless the TV crews have a wide angle lens they can't get all of me in one picture! Yesterday someone was worried they didn't have an hourglass figure , shoot,i do, instead of 36-25-36 I'm 58-46-58 and my thighs are like bundt cakes instead of muffins, but I believe I'll renovate well, once I peel off my fat covering I am going to be dy-no-mite and really rock the senior set. Might take a year, might take 18 months, but I will be Cutie Pie reconditioned from Big Mama. Big project but i,am the woman for it!😝🍀❤

Do you bring up all the hundreds of thousands of automobile accidents that results in death whenever anyone gets into a car? No? Then your logic that bringing up a totally unrelated, extremely rare issue that just happened to occur to your aunt doesn't have anything to do with your wife's current situation, like, at all.

Here's what I'm reading you saying:

"My wife is happy and feels healthy. Her doctors confirm that she's healthy. But I don't care about that because I don't like the way she looks, and thus nothing anyone says is going to make me understand that I'm wrong"

You came here looking for information, you've been provided with it, by folks that are right in the middle of dealing with it, but it's clear that the truth isn't what you were looking for.

Since your wife doesn't seem to think there is a problem and neither does her surgeon, have you considered that this is your perception, and not reality?
