Eating or Drinking 24/7 it seems

Sorry for all the posts/questions, but this is all so new to me and I don’t really have anyone to ask questions of.

Today I’m 6 days post-op and I feel that between trying to get my protein and water, I am constantly putting something in my mouth and I’m feeling so fulll all the time. I still haven’t gotten all that I”m supposed to each day yet even doing that. I am just at a loss—is this normal in the beginning? What have others experienced?

For the first few weeks, I felt the same, as though there just wasn't enough time in the day to get all the calories and liquid in, but you do have to keep trying.

Don't worry too much in the very early days about the calories, just remember to eat your proteins first, followed by the veg and then if you can manage it, carbs. I aim for three meals a day with two healthy snacks.

I have read on here that keeping hydrated will aid your weight loss as your body needs fluids to flush the fat out. The whole reason we are doing this is to get rid of that fat so days when I am struggling and really have no desire to drink, I make an effort as I keep thinking if I drink more, I will flush more fat out :P

How’s it going? I’m five weeks post op and still feel the same way you did in this post. Constantly putting something in my stomach. Too much.
