By the way, it seems a lot of prolifers here believe it is ok to get a tubal. Did you know it is STILL possible for fertilization to happen even though you have had a tubal??

Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
Yea, but she's saying he's not the daddy, that he is unable to have kids.

I think breakthrough ovulation is extremely rare with Depo. I can see it happening with the pill because some women may forget one every now and then or take one late. But you can't mess up with Depo since it's a shot. So I think the odds of that happening are very small. Would you rather a woman who really does not want kids to use something unreliable like a condom or diaphragm and greatly increase the odds of having an unwanted pregnancy and then an abortion? I think it would be better to use something like the pill or Depo and not have to worry about an unwanted pregnancy as much. If it weren't for hormonal birth control, and women only used unreliable methods, I think there would be a lot more abortions.

Do you remember the Chandra Levy D.C Murder?
Why did it take so long to make an arrest???

Any type of hormonal birth control can make the uterus inhospitable to a fertilized egg. But it is VERY unlikely that there would even be a fertilized egg in the first place, especially with Depo Provera. It is very irresposible for prolifers to be telling women this.

No, I haven't changed anything. I have had to go back and resubscribe to EVERYTHING. I also don't get emails anymore. I have sent emails, but it seems I am being ignored. It is very annoying.

I think it is a little extreme to think that hormonal birth control is an early form of abortion. As long as birth control is taken exactly as prescribed, there is VERY little chance of causing a pregnancy. It is very reliable. Advising people to avoid it and use something else like a condom or something very unreliable is more likely to cause an unwanted pregnancy. I think it is very irresponsible for prolifers to be saying this.

My husband would have gotten mad if that's all I ordered. Then he would have gotten mad if I didn't eat it all.

"I don't have any problem with birth contol as long as it doesn't kill the baby. For there are a few contraceptions that kill the fertilized egg and wash it out of the mother." patty, what type of contraception is this???

I never said babies weren't fully human. In a perfect world, women would not need to have an abortion. However, this is not a perfect world.

I am prochoice, but I have to say something. My younger brother was an unwanted, biracial crack baby. My mother and stepfather adopted him when he was 3 months old. It was very hard to take care of him because he was going through withdrawals from the crack. He is almost 13 now, and he is turning into a fine young man and I am very proud of him. Even though he was unwanted, I am glad that he wasn't aborted. That being said, there aren't many people like my mother who are willing to take care of a child like that.

I do lose better when I eat low carb. But that is just me. I know not everyone loses the same. As far as not eating carbs at all, that's not going to happen!

I am not sure how far along Elizabeth was during that time. Since she could feel him moving around, I would say she was pretty far along. Yes, God did have a plan for his life before he was born. But that is a totally diffent situation. That has nothing to do with the issue at hand. This is not Biblical times. As far as when a human becomes a human, I do not know. I don't think abortion should happen when the baby could survive on its own without the mother.

I guess you can buy anything online.

Gadget, I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you are asking. That post is very confusing. Jesus was God in the flesh. That was a totally different situation. Jesus wasn't a combination of sperm and egg. He wasn't conceived.

I have really noticed how my coworkers eat, too. None of them know I have the band. They will all sit down with a lot of fast food, and I will think man, that's an awful lot of food for one person to eat. But them I remember, I used to eat that much and more!

By the way, has anyone read the new March issue of Glamour magazine? It talks about abortion and has several women who have had abortions sharing their stories. It is very interesting. I don't have it in front of me at the moment, but it says something about how like 70 something percent of women who've had abortions are christians.

I do not see how she will be able to take care of those babies with long nails. This is another indicator that she is not thinking and needs mental help! I used to have long nails, but I worked in a nursing home and once scratched a patient. I cut them off that night and have never had them long again.

I do believe that God exists. I believe that God loves all of us, regardless. I do not believe that every fertilized egg is intended to become a human. If that were true, there wouldn't be so many miscarriages. I read somewhere that most women have had miscarriages and not even known it. If you look at IVF, most of the embryos that are implanted in the uterus do not become babies. If every fertilized egg is supposed to become a human being, how do you explain those situations? I also haven't read anything in the Bible that says that every single fertilized is to become a human. If that is there, please tell me where. I believe that there are more christians who are prochoice than you realize.
