  1. I am glad to see this thread because I have been in this same delima. I have sold a few clothes on ebay that were too big, but I have mostly kept everything else. It is almost like I am emotionally attached to my clothes and I can't get rid of them! I am even scared to buy new jeans! But after reading this, I realize that I am probably walking around in clown pants as well!
  2. You are right. And if it is not a true emergency, they can refuse to see you.
  3. "Every person has access to medical care already. Just like we all have access to auto or home insurance. Each state sets up medical ins. for those who can't afford it, and no hospital can turn away a person without ins., so why does the government need to get invoved with that? Most employers have med. plans for their employees." Not every person has access to medical care! That is very wrong! Not all states have medical care just for those who can't afford it! It is very hard to get state health care here. The only way you can get it is if you are under 21 or a woman with breast or cervical cancer. And as soon as you are cured, they sure dump you fast! And there are plenty of employers who don't offer medical insurance. There are ones who keep employees just right under 40 hours so they don't have to give them benefits. I know, because I work for someone who does that. While it is true that no one can be turned away from an emergency room, hospitals can deny a surgery or procedure because someone can't pay.
  4. Have you talked to your parents? Maybe they know if it is covered or not.
  5. I totally agree! We all need to start downloading men and then see how our husbands like that!
  6. Call the number on the back of your card and ask. They can tell you what all you need to do if it is covered. Good luck to you!
  7. Well, I don't have any kids other than a 17 year old stepson. He graduates next year. If he still expected to live with us beyond that, he would have to be in college and working and paying his own insurance, car payment, etc. If he wasn't in school, we would expect him to be out on his own. There is no other excuse for a grown child to still be living at home other than pursing their education. It is just pure laziness the way kids do these day, and especially the way parents let them do.
  8. I also think sex education should be up to the parents. But how many parents are going to put their daughters on birth control when she asks for it? I'd say very few. My mother always preached no sex until marriage. That's why I'm so glad Planned Parenthood was around for my birth control.
  9. I can understand adult children living at home as long as they are going to college and working. I see nothing wrong with it. I wish I had stayed home and went to college instead of moving in with some boy! Maybe I would have finished college then instead of still trying to finish now. I can also see moving back in for a short while if you fall on hard times. But only temporary. I couldn't imagine living with my mother again!!
  10. I would do it again in a second! I am down almost 50 pounds and I feel so much better! I actually cleaned my house from top to bottom today. No way did I ever have the energy to do that before!
  11. I can cross mine now, but I have no idea what size I am in because I haven't bought any new clothes. I guess I will keep wearing my size 20s until they fall to the floor!
  12. I have found that to be a problem before with vibrators too. But if you stop using them for awhile, the sensation does come back.
  13. Are you exercising at all? That can really help lose it faster. I can relate to not losing fast. I had surgery in May and I have lost 45 pounds. I am one of the people who have had really bad experiences being too tight. I have been too tight during my last 3 fills and have had to go have some taken out everytime. I think that has slowed my weight loss. But I am also one of those people who can't lose unless I exercise. So that may be part of your problem, I don't know.
  14. You didn't have 10 kids all the same age either.
  15. I can see both sides. In a way I think it is good for kids to be around other kids and be away from their parents for a certain amount of time. I think that helps them gain some independence and helps them when they have to go to school later. But I don't agree with putting a child in daycare for 10 hours a day everyday.
  16. What was I thinking!! Taking care of 1 premmie is the same as taking care of 8! Didn't everyone know that?!
  17. Yea, I noticed the nails were gone too. Maybe Dr. Phil did do some good!!
  18. I agree, we should all have the right to choose what is best for us.
  19. I would also like to add that I have a 17 year old stepson who also uses this computer. I sure wouldn't want him finding that stuff on here either.
  20. I don't invade my husband's privacy. I don't read his emails. I don't go looking to see what he has been looking at. I wasn't looking for the stuff when it popped in my face. That is what I have a problem with, that he downloaded it onto OUR computer that we both share. I don't want to see it and I don't want it downloaded on a computer we share. I don't think that's too much to ask. He wouldn't want naked guys in his face either if I were to download them.
  21. CNA's are NOT trained to take care of premmies!! CNA's are trained to mostly work in nursing homes and as techs in hospitals. They have very limited medical training. I know, because I used to be one! My training mostly consisted of how to bathe an elderly person, how to feed them, turn them, etc. There is NO training on taking care of premature babies! And when I was doing it, I didn't make much at all, only about $8. That should tell you they are not trained for little babies!
  22. I think I would have to agree, if I found out my baby would have Downs, I would probably abort as well. Some people just can't handle things like that. There is a lot of mental illness in my family and that is one reason I don't want kids. If I were to find out something was wrong before I delivered, I would want to abort. I don't think it is right to judge women who abort for those reasons. It is no different than a woman aborting a healthy fetus just because she doesn't want it.

Thanks! If I have any more trouble with bleeding from my pill, and if my insurance will cover it, I am definitely going to look into it. It sounds great.
  24. newhope, thanks for you story. I am glad that you all worked it out and everything is fine now. It is easy for someone who hasn't gone through this to say just leave, but that is not so easy, especially when everything else about the marriage is great. Since our talk, my husband has not even used the computer once.
  25. Great post! I have also been guilty of saying the same things as everyone else who posted. I compair myself a lot with others and that is my biggest problem. I have decided I am going to stop doing that! I won't say I lost only a pound. I will be happy with each one gone. There's no way I could have lost 45 pounds without the band and kept it off!!!!
