  1. I think you should try!
  2. Now that you mention it, I do remember that they were co owners with Erlanger's Women's East for a few years. But they sold their share back to Erlanger while I was working there, I believe in 2000 or so. I don't remember why.
  3. I just asked the exact same question on the other thread!!
  4. Ok, call me a prude, but what exactly is "tossing salad"?!
  5. She was on ET and she said something about she didn't accept the donated services because they depend on donations, and there weren't any. But I couldn't really make out what she was saying. Did anyone catch that? I agree, her children are wild! I am really worried about the 8 babies being around those children. They also said on ET that CPS had been called on her before but they didn't find any reason to take the kids. I really don't think CPS cares. I know they don't where I live.
  6. It was Memorial Hospital in chattanooga, TN. They are still open, and one of the best hospitals around, they just don't perform women's services anymore. Let me know if you find anything interesting. I would be curious to know why they closed the maternity ward.
  7. I can't stand her! I hate even looking at her! When I see her on tv now, I turn the channel! She reminds me of a selfish teenager. She refuses to listen to anyone, even her own parents. It's like she's 16 instead of a grown woman!
  8. Yea, the hospital I worked for didn't preform women's services. They had a maternity ward at one time, but they closed it. I don't know how true it is, but someone said they closed it because if an emergency were to come in and they had to choose between saving the mother or the baby, they would choose to save the baby, and they were afraid of law suits.
  9. I used to work for a catholic hospital and they would not cover birth control on our health paln. They also required that if a patient was on birth control, the patient had to bring it with her because the nurses weren't allowed to give it to them.
  10. I just think it is bad that women feel like they can't tell anyone they are pregnant. I think it is just a bad situation to be in.
  11. It may be bad to say, but I think most women would rather have an abortion than give up the baby for adoption. I know when I was pregnant, I thought about adoption, but there was no way I was going to go through 9 months of pregnancy and then give it to someone else. Not to mention, I didn't even want anyone to know I was pregnant. I think that is the case with a lot of women who have abortions. They don't want anyone to know.
  12. I know that Roe v Wade made abortion legal through all 9 months of pregnancy, but realistically, how many clinincs are there where a woman who is 9 months pregnant can just walk in and say she wants an abortion and get one? I don't think there are many places that can do that.
  13. I don't know of a state where a woman can go get an abortion at 9 months just because she wants one. In the state I live in it is only legal up to 12 weeks. In Georgia, the next state over, I think the legal limit is 24 weeks. Is there a state that has it legal past that??
  14. I'm not really sure how early he was. All I really remember was he was very tiny. Yea, I know, he is very lucky not to have any problems. His mother was a prostitute addicted to drugs. He used to be really hyper, but he is fine now.
  15. It looks like guys are voting, but aren't discussing, lol.
  16. I just wanted to say also that my brother who is adopted was a crack baby and was born early and was in NICU. He is 13 now and he is just fine. I'm glad he was given a chance.
  17. I have seen some in NICU. I still think they deserve a chance.
  18. I think it is good that babies are being saved sooner. Not all of them have problems.
  19. I think with Obama in office, abortion isn't going to be illegal any time soon.
  20. I have watched very little of her on tv. I thought she was nuts the first time I heard about it and that was before I even knew who she was. No one in their right mind would do what she has done. Even her own parents say she needs help. I think they know her better than anyone.
  21. They just had a vote in utah or somewhere during the last election and the majority wanted to keep abortion legal.
  22. I get what you are saying gadget. But I think in most cases for a man to be charged with murder of an unborn child, the mother has to be like 7 months pregnant. I think the baby has to be far enough developed that it could survive on its own if it were born. I think only then can the person be charged with murder. (I may be wrong, but I think that is what it is based on). Like that guy Scott Peterson who killed his wife. She was 8 months pregnant, so therefore they charged him with killing the baby too because he could have survived on his own. There was a case here where I live not too long ago. A guy beat up his girlfriend, she was like 5 months pregnant. She lived, but the baby died. The prosecutors tried to charge him with murdering the baby. But he got away with it because they said the baby couldn't have survived on its own at 5 months. I can still see that girl crying on tv as the judge said that. It was very sad. I agree that it is a very fine line.
  23. The reason the woman has all of the say is because it is her body. And she is the main one who is going to have to take care of the kid. But I see what you are saying about the father. I think if a man doesn't want to have anything to do with the child, then he shouldn't have to pay child support. I don't see why he is forced to take care of a child he doesn't want. But if the woman doesn't want it, it is ok to abort. I don't see the logic there either.
  24. I can understand why octomom wouldn't want the embryos destroyed, but I think she shuld have donated them.
