  1. I had surgery on the 18th & I’m finding it easy to drink water to. I had already drank 2 L today and it was just past noon.
  2. I’m actually in Spokane. I like the garden of life the best. And the Orgain is very good and they both come in different flavors I use one scoop of each to make a shake and it’s 30 g of protein it’s delicious.
  3. My surgery was the 18th as well.
  4. I had surgery on January 18th. I requested a patch for nausea behind my ear before surgery & they told me it would last a week. I haven’t been nauseous once since surgery. My pain has been minimal but I have taken meds at times & before bed. I’ve already had 2 L of water today. I eat five two ounce meals (liquids) a day. I have yet to feel restricted or overfill my pouch. If you having pain or nausea issues I would suggest calling your surgeon immediately so you can get the proper meds. I don’t anticipate needing any nausea meds after the patch wears off & I’m pretty sure I won’t be needing any more pain meds. After my two week post-op appointment my meals will change to 4 ounces (puréed) on a 2-3-2 plan. Eat within 2 hours of waking up then every 3 hours throughout the day and my last meal 2 hours before bed. After 2 weeks of that I’m onto solid foods. Hopefully you can get some meds that will make it easier for you to tolerate things. You got this. Good luck!
  5. I don’t know of them. I’m on disability & my requirements were nearly none. My surgery was also covered 100%. I’ve read on here that some companies are pathetic.
  6. What are you taking? These aren’t bad & they have everything but calcium.
  7. What insurance are you using?
  8. I’m eating 2oz meals up to 5 times a day until my two week post-op. I’m also downing my water quite well. Here’s pics of my Breakfast, my snack, & the list given to me by my doctor before I left the hospital. I’m having no problems with the exception of slight pain when moving to much. My surgery was January 18th.
  9. I had 2-3 ounces of a strawberry cream premier protein shake & my snack is 2 ounces of sugar free Greek Yogurt.
  10. Don’t be concerned with low-fat at this point. After you move to regular food then watch what you eat. But in the early stages you’ll be deprived of needed fat & calories anyway. Enjoy your soups!
  11. I’ll try that now! I’m going crazy!
  12. It’s stuck & it won’t come out. It’s driving me nuts!!!
  13. Feeling better everyday. Heading for home after lunch. Having my Carnation instant breakfast & water now.
  14. I had mine Thursday & have been doing my best with water. I had some broth yesterday & it went down well. I also have pain but can somewhat control it with medicine. If you need something a little stronger contact your doctor & get some liquid meds. Hope you feel better soon.
  15. Take it easy you don’t want a hernia!
  16. Me to! Surgery was yesterday & burps are welcome!
  17. I had surgery yesterday and everything went well. I’ve had one little trouble spot below the center of my rib cage. I started drinking water today. It’s going pretty good if I don’t have any setbacks then this is pretty much a breeze. I have yet to feel the fullness of my pouch but I’m sipping water & taking it slow. I’ve been taking my pain meds pretty regularly due to that one trouble spot other than that things are going great! Almost time to go for another walk.
  18. So much better now. I walked, took a leak, & got moved into a huge room. If things only improve the next few days then this was a breeze.
  19. Had mine this morning to! I feel great everywhere except under the middle of my rib cage. Terrible pain there. Still trying to get a full breath.
  20. Thanks so much. I’m in my room now. I feel great except for right below the middle of my rib cage. Should be walking in an hour or two.
