  1. lol now you can ignore my reply to your message as I just read your post. All is good & my incisions are so much better now.
  2. Are you on any medication for heartburn? I was told to go back on my Omeprazole if I continue to get heartburn but so far that hasn’t been the case.
  3. Me as well. I have always loved spicy food while on medication for many years & now I pour it on everything without. So awesome!!
  4. They were actually quite small in size. Much smaller than Buffalo Wild Wings. Oh & thanks so much.
  5. Never held back. I was on heartburn medication for over 20 years. I haven’t taken it since surgery & I pour Taco Bell fire sauce on almost everything I eat now.
  6. I probably could’ve stopped at four and been fine but I didn’t eat for like four or five hours before I had them. I definitely felt full though.
  7. After working out at the Y I took my kids to Chuck E. Cheese to play. They had some pizza & I ordered a 6 piece bone in hot wings (smallest they had) after 20 minutes I ate 5 of them & I’m stuffed! I love this except that I couldn’t even take a bite of my carrots or celery. I guess I’ll take it home for a snack in 3 hours.
  8. I’m at the gym now! Taking a break between swimming & floor exercise.
  9. A couple days after surgery and then a week after surgery. They look much better now but still a little bit of red. Surgery date January 18th.
  10. Good luck with that! If you have endoscopic sleeve surgery you’ll have no incisions but laparoscopic is almost always 5 incisions.
  11. I just have to say......THANKS FOR THAT! I LIKE YOU!
  12. Last I heard,”Tom, Bert, and William ("Bill") Huggins were three Stone trolls that Bilbo Baggins encountered in the Trollshaws, in Eriador, while with Thorin and Company on their quest to regain the Lonely Mountain (Erebor)”.
  13. That would be the headline reading Hundreds at the YMCA “Blinded by the Light” from an unknown source! Much more intense than any Havest Moon! It was the Arearendbareiasslis!
  14. Yeah ask your surgical group. They know better than anyone. Be ready because 6 months will fly past & you’ll be in a bed getting wheeled to surgery before you know it. Welcome aboard!
  15. The length of the liquid diet depends mostly on your BMI the higher the BMI the longer the liquid pre-op diet.
  16. The only crack going on here is my butt crack when I’m swimming laps because my swimsuit don’t fit anymore. No deaths so far but I’ll let you know of the first casualty when crack kills!
  17. Yeah it was at times nauseating but I made it through!
  18. I’ve been preparing meals for my family for many years but since my surgery I set the table with kids plates with portion dividers & plastic forks & spoons. My kids love to watch me eat with little plastic utensils & plates. They eat more than me now & get a kick out of me & their mom using small plates & kids plastic forks & spoons. It sure does make it more fun having small meals!
  19. Hey some topics are very serious. I get it! But I try to add humor to my responses I have no intention of offending anyone. If you don’t have a sense of humor then good luck healing. So I guess if your one of those “serious people” then you might consider skipping my posts & responses. After all laughter is the best medicine. Happy healing! Thanks for laughing with me FluffyChix!
  20. What are you drinking? Try some vegan protein powder like GARDEN OF LIFE. It has so many vitamins & nutrients in it that most other shakes don’t. I used a few different brands & was allowed to blend in fruit as long as I didn’t go over 15g of carbs. I never once deviated from the plan. It’s not worth having your surgery canceled when they find out your liver hasn’t shrank or whatever other reason. I also believe that if you cheat it will cause slower healing or complications but that’s just my opinion. The sacrifice is so worth it. Good luck! By the way my liquid diet was 28 days.
  21. I had that problem to but it eventually passed.
  22. I agree except I haven’t taken my meds since surgery & I was on them for over 20 years!
  23. Me too! I’ve seen all of them 100 times thanks to my kids. Just between you & me I would’ve seen them all 100 times if I had no kids. ?
  24. Lucky! I had surgery January 18th & I got so tired of puréed I started eating soft food last week but my dietitian said,”DON’T DEVIATE FROM THE PLAN”! Which translates to puréed until February 24th. I can’t wait to eat healthy little plates of delicious foods!
