    Wheat Bran, Prune Juice, Applesauce

I am glad you are now having a BM everyday, I cant wait until I can say the same! Lol it's kind of comical how much importance I put on it now and how for granted I took it pre-op! Best of luck to you on your journey
  2. This will be a TMI post... I am exactly 49 days post op (yay) Finally starting to feel like myself and experimenting with eating different foods. Its awesome. I haven't had many issues with rejecting food just yet or throwing up so I am really thankful for that. However, my excitement is short lived because......I haven't been able to poop independently since surgery About two weeks postop I had an issue with fecal impaction and it. was. the. worst. thing. ever. I thought I was going to die. the pain, dehydration, straining, dizzy/faint feeling was enough for me to vow to never go that long without pooping again. Therefore I have resorted to using different ways to make myself go. Anytime I have gone has been with the assistance of suppositories or enemas, stool softeners, etc. although they (sometimes) work I really don't want to continue to have to use enemas and suppositories because I feel like constant use CANT be healthy...also being on all fours shoving liquid up your bum, less than desirable :/ I have tried upping my Fiber, nothing. I have tried eating fibrous fruits, no dice. So the next thing I wanted to try is this Wheat bran, prune juice and applesauce mixture that I read might help? Has anyone tried this and had good/bad/any results???

6 days post op and depressed

this feeling will pass. I think it's safe to say that most sleevers feel a sense of regret and mourn the loss of their full "normal" stomach ( I know I did) It gets better and I know you'll hear this over and over again but I promise it does get better. I used to cry and wonder WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?!? but every day was an improvement. I am almost 3 months post op and I still have days that aren't as good as others. I just have to remind myself that it will pass. The food thing is all mental just tell yourself that eventually you can have those things again (in moderation if it's unhealthy of course) this is just a hump you have to get through. One thing that always worked for me was to think of my stapled little pouch in its healing stage and how I didn't want to put anything in there that would cause "it" pain or worse cause a leak. All these liquids are a precaution for safety the doctors aren't being evil lol. You'll get through it! sending you hugs and strength!!
