Hi everyone! I live in Fullerton and would love to find a walking buddy. I can't afford a gym membership, but I need to find some sort of motivation to get out of my apartment and exercise. Hi Allie! I am hanging in there...my weight loss has been VERY slow. I am coming up on my one year on Jan 16th and I have only lost about 48lbs. Its very discouraging. I am pretty sure I have 6ccs in my band, my last fill was about a month and a half ago. I throw up A LOT. I cant seem to get a hang of the tiny bites and eating slowly so I just eat yogurt. I am going to have to rededicate myself all over again. But I haven't given up hope yet.

I see you live in Fullerton--so do I !! I was banded in 2007 but have really done awful. I have had a lot of problems with throwing up and not eating nearly enough.

I feel the exact same way. I was banded Jan 16th, 2009 and have only lost 29lbs. To be completely honest, I really did think that I was going to loose at least 50lbs in the first 6 months. There are so many great stories on this forum from people who have lost that amount. Not the case for me. I hadn't lost anything since my first fill, until I lost 5 lbs between fill #3 and fill #4. I have not lost anything in the 4 weeks since my last fill so I scheduled my next fill for Tues. I am truly hoping that this next fill will do the trick. I am exercising, and eating protein and healthy foods, the weight just is not coming off. 29lbs in 6 months def does NOT live up to my expectations. Some days I wish I pushed for bypass. There is nothing I can do now except keep on trying. -
What is the magic fill for your 10mL band?

I am at 5cc in a 10cc band right now. I had 4 nice size pieces of pork tenderloin tonight for dinner. So, I am not at my sweet spot. Going in for another fill this Friday. -

So glad to hear your update! I am struggling! I have been banded for 6 months and have only lost about 30lbs. I have not lost anything significant since the month after surgery. I have 5ccs in my band and I just need to get another fill I guess! Good job! -
