  3. Im now day 4 post op and the pain of eating is putting me off. In past when loosing weight it is all about will power, and practising will power. Telling yourself no and having the mental strength. It is definately a muscle you have to continue to work out. There are a lot of youtube clips about practising will power and how to increase this. Hope this helps in some way. All else fails go to bed early :-p Sent from my SM-N920I using the BariatricPal App Any help I'll take... thanks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I have told most what I've done... for some I have said " I eat very very little now!"... and they are ok with that I don't care what people think or don't think. What others think of me is none of my business... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Anyone find they wanna eat for the sake of eating???.. 7 weeks post op and the horrible habit never went away. I drink heaps of water and cups of tea to trick myself but bloody hell its hard.. the head hunger games are full on. Given in the evening When I'm home with everyone it's so hard. Distracting myself isn't easy either as I know what I'm trying to do lol... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I thought my period would be going haywire with my weight loss but thankfully I haven't had any issues... I'm 7 weeks post op Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I'm a truck driver which can be quiet physical sometimes. I help load the truck and I'm occasionally jumping on and off the back to shift things around. Not a great idea lol I start at around 6am and work till when ever. I was fine going back after 2 weeks post op. I wasn't on pain meds at all ( came off them hours after op) I was a little fatigued but not tired. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I never got any painkillers to take home. I was off them practically a few hours after surgery. Tatts gonna hurt regardless Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. [qguote name=pbdraia" post="4386687" timestamp="1485326404]Got a coupon for a BJ's membership, so went for the first time in years. Got yogurt, protein shakes, a giant jar of PB Powder, chicken breasts, ground chicken, cod, eggs, protein water and a few other things. They still haven't cleared me for raw fruits/veggies yet, so this should hold me over for a few weeks. What else do you guys keep as high protein kitchen staples? Any other suggestions? Thank you for any advice! ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1485326387.950127.jpg Sent from my iPhone using BariatricPal[/quo Omg you are prepared lol.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. From Australia here!!... I've had my sleeve already but I see a lot of American s and some others go to Mexico for surgery. Is it cheaper ?.. different qualifications u need or not? Just interested that's all. I paid around $26000 out of pocket no insurance Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I don't even know what they are lol.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Not sure what re fried Beans are?.. but they don't sound nice lol Hunger nerves aren't cut lol.. they take out a part of your stomach that make some of the hunger hormone " ghrelin" So in some people he hunger is non existent, some it remains but very little. As I said the liquid stage it very different to the solids stage of real food lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. 7 weeks post op and nothing for me changed!!... I was hoping to get the " omg it's so sweet I can't touch sugary crap now".... but I didn't. Two friends of mine have had the same as me and neither have experienced the taste change or any change lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I had high bp a couple times in hospital and I was medicated for it as well lol... you body has been through a traumatic event and it's one way it shows. Don't worry about it tbh. ( well try not too) 5 weeks post op I came off one of my meds and they halved another. That high bp you are taking of is temp Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I think I may have misread your post.. What pain are you talking of?... I'm a little confused Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. I packed too much.... thinking i was travelling for a week on holiday lol. I pair of thongs or slippers Couple of pairs of knickers Bras or crop top Something to wear home ( or just the stuff you wore in) Toothbrush n Paste n toiletries ( remember it's only 2 nights ) Phone charger Magazine maybe Bugger all... 17. I would wake in the night and feel a"hunger" although not the same hunger feeling I had pre sleeve. I'm not sure what feelings you are having whether it's hunger or not. My hunger is a hollow feeling in the bottom of my throat and I know it's hunger cause I only eat every 4 hours. If u are having liquids which it sounds like u are it doesn't stay in your stomach but passes through very quickly. When you get to the solids stage it will change!!... 18. Wouldn't worry about crunches n sit-ups etc they do absolutely nothing for the fat on ya guts. Diet is the only thing that can get rid of that. Takes tie for the guts fat to go... so bloody frustrating hey lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. It is still so very hard... you fight everyday with head hunger or just wanting to eat. It's exactly the same as before the surgery the only difference is the size in which the stomach is. They cut out the stomach not the part of your brain... I'm only 7 week post op and if I would let myself I would be eating all the time... changing your attitude and breaking habits is very hard... but it's doable Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I eat more cheese now then ever before.. it's great for Protein and so low in carbs. I use cottage cheese twice a day as the wax kinda cheeses .. hard cheese and ricotta ... cheese on and in everything lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. I don't count calories but I do look at Protein, fats and carbs. I keep my protein high , fat higher and carbs very low. Drink around 2 litres of Water or sugar free cordial a day plus cups of tea. My protein is around 60-70 grams a day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. My morning hunger is now a hollow feeling in my throat. Hard to explain. Although my afternoon "hunger" is different again. I'd say the further along I'm getting ( only 7 wks post op) it's changing to a stronger feeling Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Omg my stomach won't go!!! My legs n arms are like matchsticks and I have NO bum. It's gone!!! Lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. They don't taste like normal Pasta noooodles ... but they aren't too bad either. So much better for ya Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. My surgeon agrees, he does not support this or any form of banding, for the same reasons--they usually end up having to come out. Cause it's only been done for 5 years over here ( pretty sure only here for 5 ) I haven't heard much about it. I know of two people that have had it done with so far no issues. But long term no one knows I guess. As I said my surgeon has it as well so I gather that's why he offers it Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
