stalls why the hell wont the scale do what i say!
You lost 30 pounds in 2 weeks, and 10 pounds in 1 week and you stall. You go a week or two without loosing weight and you freakout, I don't understand. I've only lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks! And I'm upset it hasn't been more. Don't get me wrong I'm thrilled but hey i wish I lost 30 like you did. Relax and realize your body has gone through major changes, let it catch up and recover. Meanwhile rejoice in what you've accomplished.

Day after my surgery, too much pain.
I had surgery 1/3 and I was in excruciating pain for 2-3 days. That's with pain meds! It gets better I promise. Just remember to get your pain meds every 4 hours, walk as much as possible and use something for the gas!

Hello, friends! 8 months PO!
Wow, you look amazing. But more importantly you must feel great! And being off all your meds is incredible. You've done great, keep it up! I was sleeved on the 4th, haven't even lost an ounce yet and a little discouraged. You're an inspiration because that's where I want to be...off all my meds! Along with a great loss, my health & tha big smile you have on your face. You're beautiful, best of luck continuing your journey!

Body image and sex
I cannot help you. I am not there. My suggestion is just that, not a panacea. There are ways to work around things, but you have to find them yourself, not rely on strangers. And when the time comes we will figure it out together. The man I'm dating and me.

Body image and sex
What if it's more a problem for you not them but me. I'm thinking a pair of tastefull, lacey, crotchless underwear will do the trick as long as there's a little control top in it. And you're right if someone can't love you for who you are you don't need them in.your life. But I also feel if I don't love myself, how can someone love me?

Body image and sex
Littlebill I was married 20 years and lost my husband. I am in a committed relationship now, I don't believe in just having sex with every tom. Dick or harry. Turning out the lights is fine, but the excess skin (mine being all in my belly)null still be hanging in the way. Doesn't make it appealing in.the dark either when it's in the way.

Body image and sex
I have the same thoughts. I'm in a long distance relationship. We've discussed my surgery and the end results. We will eventually be together and not long distance and traveling. The sex later with extra skin terrifies me. I need something to hide it until I can have surgery because it's going to disgust me. So I'm stuck too not knowing how to handle that.

My surgery was yesterday... so much pain!
Dayna, I woke up in excruciating pain after surgery too yesterday. A mix of gas a pain in my stomach. I finally felt some relief around 6 last night after dilaiuded in recovery and morphine in the room. Walked the halls 3 times, did my breathing and at about 10:00 pm pains came back in full force. Haven't slept yet, pain meds in 5 minutes. Surgery was 8;00a.m yesterdsy..sorry you're having a tough time. I haven't heard too many people have problems like thus so I felt completely blindsided!

- Surgery tomorrow!
Well I got the call have to be at the hospital at 6 a.m. tomorrow. I'm a mess in a good way and a bad way, lol! Here's my before pics, can't believe I'm sharing these but pretty soon they'll be a distant memory. Don't have an accurate weight because every scale is different. I was 247.8 at home this morning(and I'll do check-ins here too), which is 12# less than my PCP scale. My highest weight was 300+#'s. First goal is to finally get under 200! Final goal see pics below- January 4th Sleevers- 3 days and counting!
My date too! I can't wait...o- Clear protein drink
Genepro is clear, odorless and tasteless. Some GNC carries it or you can get it on line- Hollywood fl. Had surgery Dec. 21 anyone near by
WLS Jan 4th, WPB, Fl- Surgury Jan 4th
Woo hoo! Jan 4th too, can't wait, a bundle of nerves but ready for the girl who's been hiding for 30 years to come out and play.- Anxiety
Hi Morningangel, I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my husband 11 years ago, it's still difficult. My surgery is January 4th and I am excited and also very anxious. I feel the same too, I'm afraid I won't wake up. I have every confidence in my surgeon, I know I'm making the right choice. I've even chosen to write letters to my daughter and the man who means everything to me now and made me want to live, just in case so I can tell them how I feel. We'll all do great! Sending blessings & prayers, keep us posted. Happy holidays...it's going to be a great new year!- Protein shakes?
Hi, premier protien shakes 30 grams are good. They just came out with banana and caramel. Atkins 20 grams has some drinks that are good too. I was also told about genepro powder 30 grams odorless, tasteless and can be mixed in hot and cold into anything. I found it in one of my GNC'S or else they have it online. Good luck.- No where else to vent
Shame on him for being a coward! What an awful way to treat you and an terrible thing to do to your children. Not giving you any explanation, he must not have a good one. You're doing great despite everything you're going through keep it up! Just remember you matter & so do your children and don't let this or his actions make you think anything different. You've done nothing wrong so don't stop taking care of yourself and your children and things will only get better. I know this saying isn't always a comfort but I do believe it's true "Things happen for a reason". Wishing you continued success with your WLS and a Happy Holiday to you and your children and most of all a better 2017. Take care of your precious angels they need you more now and they will keep your heart going and glowing! You're worth it so reach for the stars and remember we're always here for you too!- Pre-op diet over the holidays...
I go in on the 4th. I don't technically have a pre-op diet but have decided to put myself on one. So I start officially tomorrow. My thought is be prepared, high protien, lower my calories. One small lean protien & vegetable meal. No carbs unless in my protien shakes. Found Atkins protien drinks, 20g protien and they're not bad. Premier protien drinks 30g protien, also have genepro. Sugar free popsicles, jello, pudding, fudgesicles, cottage cheese, water! Trying to stay between 800-1000 calories. First night of Chanukah I'm going to have a patato latke (my only carb) and Christmas day I'm having a small piece of Prime Rib. (No red meat for a long time so I'm having my last fix, lol) I'm thinking this can only help me. So, best of luck to you...We got this! This is the start of something beautiful, the best is yet to come. Happy Holidays.- Approved
Great Christmas present!- Daily food
I got generous protien powder. Odorless. Tasteless. 30 grams of protein and you can mix it with anything. My GNC carries it, or online. A lot of people recommended it here, might help you.- Wait who is that?!
Awesome!- 39 Months Post-Op...First Big, Fat, Nosedive off the Wagon, Binge...also Possible just Flunked out of Law School
You've done so much with you're life, on your own. So much success in many ways. I know law school is important to you but you're not a failure! If other people want to talk and be judgemental that's their problem...yes that's because they have their own problem and instead find fault in everyone else. I'm proud of you for not diving into that bag of food and having that party, that in itself is a great accomplishment. Things have a way of working out. Please don't kick yourself, you're great, and don't ever forget that.- 33 days !
January 4th, I'm ready for my new birthday! A new life, I've been Locked in this body for 32 years waiting to come back out and play again...look out world I'm on my way. I'm nervous, worried, anxious, excited and know this is the best gift I could give myself. I'm looking forward to my journey, no matter what struggles it may be it is all worth living. - Surgery tomorrow!
