I am now 5 days out and feeling almost normal A little tenderness on the tummy to be expected but haven't taken any pain meds since Saturday and back to routine bringing kids to school and whatnot. 18. I am 5 days out and up 4 pounds from surgery day. I expected the first few days maybe I'd be still filled up with Iv fluids but thought it would even out by now I've just been trying to get a shake in a day and maybe a little Soup for lunch/dinner and then maybe a sugar free Popsicle. I hope it starts going in the other direction soon. Feeling a little down about it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. I found my c-section recovery was was so easy though one of my twin boys was put in nicu and seeing him there had me instantly vomiting... could've just been the anesthesia wearing off but.. I had my surgery 4 days ago and what is comparable... whatever pain you have seems to be short lived. Sure I had awful gas pains and felt I couldn't move the upper half of my body but 2 days after... meh! Just excited for 2017! Congrats on your upcoming surgery Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I had mine Jan 4 and have been very thankful for no nausea or vomiting. I did have terrible gas pains for a few days but I do have a slight fear of vomiting which I was very nervous about. Can't complain. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. I am 3 days out and find anything cold burns as it goes down. I am wondering how long that lasts... I mean right now I'm sipping on a shake trying to get the most nutrients in that I can but ouch. Soups feel better going down but even trying to drink Water... I hope this gets better... 23. I have been walking throughout... the pain is starting to ease up. Definitely better than last night. Going to be discharged soon. Happy to be on the losers bench now at least Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. I thought I was going in feeling pretty prepared as I've had a laparoscopic surgery before but that was regarding my tubal ligation. This was way worse! But on the plus side after this past nap my shoulder pain has improved. I had taken gas x and walked about five laps slowly. The pain under my ribs is still awful though, the nurse said that's more than likely the surgical pain. She just gave me a shot of something. Hope it helps. 25. Well there's no turning back now... I'm in so much pain. Mostly gas pains but thats no joke! And my ribs so tight and achy. I feel like I can't Move my upper body in my own. I had hoped I'd get some sleep in tonight but I'm waking up every 45 minutes. How long did these gas pains last for you guys? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
