Interesting! I wonder if it's because we are adding different things to the diet, or if it has to do with healing and swelling going down

I noticed almost right off the bat post-op how much louder and more "talkative" my sleeve seemed to be. It's still more noisy than it was pre-op but now at 4 1/2 months, it's not as noticeable as it was in the first couple of months post-op.

I am 8 weeks post op as well. I also am getting the loud, grumbling tummy noises too... I just started noticing it about a week ago, which is also around the time that I finally started feeling hunger for the first time since surgery.

    STAY STRONG BE PATIENT
And PRAY FOR STRENGTH TO ENDURE
BUT DON'T PRAY FOR PATIENCE, CAUSE IN DOING SO YOU ARE PRAYING FOR PROBLEMS.

Keep following the plan and be patient. Easier said than done for sure! Every time I stall I convince myself I am done losing weight and I get so upset. Inevitably, the weight-loss begins again and I'm a happy camper until the next stall. STALLS are part of the process. May as well get use to them. 3 weeks out is an infamous stall that you will see everyone talking about on here. Oh the dreaded 3 week stall. I hit it, I'd say, 80% of people on here have hit that one. It is the toughest because it is most often the first stall. Congrats on your new surgery! Good luck to you. Don't stress.

Taking a PPI has been shown clinically to create dependence on PPI drugs to control acid, instead of allowing your stomach to adjust to the new size and adjust acid levels. When people with no GERD symptoms were given a PPI for just a few weeks, fully half of them developed GERD when they stopped taking the PPI.
If you miss taking it, that's most likely responsible for a sudden flare up. When you stop taking it in a few months, you can expect more of the same.

20 minutes or so. I put my fork down, and sometimes have to remind myself to force my fork down. Hard habit to break. But I hate feeling sick so I force the fork down. I try to wait 1 minute between each bite.

I use a scale all the time, but I combine it with a measuring cup. Volume and weight don't always match up. I was gettting hungry early for a while, and discovered that a 1/2 cup of the food I was eating came out as 6-7 oz on the scale.

I bought a scale just before leaving home for surgery. I confess that I have yet to use it, almost 6 weeks post op.
The caveat is that I have to portion my food for a week at a time because I am not home for 7 days, home for 36-48 hours then gone again for 7 days with my work schedule. So each meal is ladled into a small tupperware container, 1 cup at a time.
Often it takes me several hours to get the whole cup of chill or Soup down. I also cooked and froze some meatballs that I can zap in the microwave, and they're easy enough to Portion Control.

food scale is the most important tool after the sleeve itself imo.

    My plan states 20 minutes for a snack and 30 for a meal. I always use a scale.< /p>

My program recommends a meal should take 20-30 minutes to eat. They stress Protein Shakes and supplements to help bridge the gap with nutrients during the early months. I've been relatively lucky and can drink with ease and consume almost all of my meals in that time frame.

The rule at my surgeon's office is that you have to stop eating at 20 minutes (earlier if you are no longer hungry). You can not extend your meal time beyond the 20 minutes because they consider that "grazing".

If you have your food portioned out, you are not grazing. Especially when you are fresh from surgery. Grazing is just mindlessly eating non stop. It might take some people 30 minutes to eat 2 ounces when they are on soft foods. People need their nutrition, as long as they are eating their proper allotted portion there is nothing wrong with it taking longer.
I never really ate slowly. I hate cold food, so I never really slowed down. I eat my allotted portion and that is it. I did make sure to chew thoroughly.
The most important thing is to always weigh/measure your food and do not over eat.

I to was doing well and back to work 4 days post op. At my one week appointment I was given the clearance to start elliptical, and low impact aerobics. I just listened to my body. If I was winded too much I backed off and didn't push it.

Thanks for all input. I'll follow my doctors instructions for sure. I suspected some different info as we all have different medical professionals. I am getting 60 G Protein and at least 64 oz of Water. Most of my Protein are 160 calories and I am averaging close to 500 cal a day right now. And I would say go for my one week post op appointment Tuesday and plan to ask as well. Thanks everyone,
