My best friend is GNCs Dymatize ISO100 Protein. I prefer the vanilla if you like sweet you might want to try the birthday cake. You can put it in Water or milk or make a shake out of it but it gives me 25 g of protein per serving. I just put it in water twice a day it's great .. you can't feel it ..not gritty. I'm having a harder time transitioning to soft foods cheese has been the best thing for me. Hummus and creamy Soups. I can do egg over easy but if I scramble it ?

Thanks for the replies. I've had my gallbladder removed years ago so know it's not that. But I've also had a high ALK phosphate level for years. I had a liver ultrasound last year and it was fine but seeing the bilirubin pop up in my urine scared me. I'm thinking my liver is just "under construction" and is adjusting like you said.
I'm not sure what's up with the Protein showing up though. I thought maybe it was something that a lot of post-sleevers have encountered. Hopefully if I increase my fluids, next week's urine test will look better.

Just stick to the plan and it will all work out. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to get too discouraged!

Measure your body and don't let stalls bother you so much. I lose stall, lose stall, and I have learned that I usually drop 10-15 after a stall. This is your body adjusting and its natural. My dr. said you will be less likely to regain if your body adjusts to the new weight.

My surgery team had me get Water in first because dehydration is a real problem. Then once i could get in 64 oz of water i moved to protein. Until i got those 2 things down i couldnt have any food. Your body can go a little while without protein and protein can displace water. So...if u get protein but no water u will get dehydrated very fast. It is hard and its an all day project for a while. Keep sipping all day long. Even if you get up in the night have some water

I started at 260 also. Sleeved 9/27. Lost 8lbs the first week, then ended up having pneumonia and back in the hospital...gained back the weight I lost plus a couple. Slow loosing following my hospital visit but my body caught up with itself and now, fast forward 11 weeks...down 50lbs! You will have moments of loosing a bunch, then a slow down, sometimes even a stall. Just be patient and know your sleeve is working. You will get there.

Oh and I forgot to mention......it's too early for you to worry about your weight loss! Right now your body is still healing and everything needs to be focused on that......The surgery is a huge shock to your system then on top of that there is a severe reduction in your food intake.....so it takes a little while for things to settle down and the the weight starts falling off.........but rest assured it will!!! Just focus on your healing follow your plan and it will happen. Good luck to you!!!

Your body is going to do what it's going to do. I think 9 pounds is fine. Remember, you still may be all bloated from the surgery.
Stay the course, keep getting all your fluids and Protein, and you'll lose just fine at your own pace. You'll see.

Take some deep breaths, in and out. In and out. You are fine. Losing is losing is losing.... try not to compare yourself to others who might be osing more or less. All that matters is that you weigh less now than you did when you got on the table. Right? You're not even in the 260's anymore, almost out of the 250's! BUH BYE POUNDS!
Keep your head up, keep following your surgeon's plan! I'll tell you that in the first two weeks I lost 11lbs. I lost like... 8 lbs week 1, then 3lbs week two. And then like 2-3 lbs a week for........forever. You won't (or shouldn't) drop a ton of weight all at once. You will have some weeks where you won't lose. You will have some weeks where you lose more, some where you'll lose less. It's not linear.
It'll happen. The sleeve works! If you are cleared for light exercise, maybe a nice short walk would help clear your head?

I'm a slow looser, your doing great! I had my surgery 11-11-16 , sleeve. I've only lost 8ibs and I'm so frustrated! I do 1.5 to 2 miles 5 /6 times a week in 35 to 38 minutes. I get in 60 Protein to 65 Protein, take my vitamens, and get in 45 to 60 oz Water... still that's it!
    My stats:
    5"4
    Start weight 272
    Surgery day 263
    Currently 255
So if you think you loosing slow this should make u feel better ! I'm loosing my mind! I'm
Not giving up and hope I start loosing soon like everyone else

Hi, I was sleeved on 10-6-16 and was wondering what everybody's weight loss rate was. When was the peak of your weight loss? During what months did you lose the most?
    Here are my stats:
    5'8
    Hw 306
    Sw 291
    Cw 265
    Goal 180ish
I feel like I'm a slow loser but I'm ok with that. I just want to know if there were certain times people lost more. (Example-5-6 months out)

I am 4 days into purée stage! So far I made a big pot of pinto Beans (dry Beans, half an onion, chicken bullion cube, pepper, garlic and a bit of tabasco plus about 3 cups water) and cooked that sucker for about 4 hours, then strained the beans and puréed it in my blender. Tastes so much better than the standard Protein drink and those beans have much needed potassium to boot. Put a tiny bit of cheese on there and it feels like your having restaurant style refried beans!
I have had that for dinner 3 days in a row now and not sick of it yet.
Then I decided on a whim to just purée some canned Soup I had been drinking the broth from. It was okay, but I get grossed out by the idea of some puréed foods. Like if I know what it is supposed to be pre-purée, I cant eat it... haha! So that idea only made it one meal.
I think I am going to try making some lightened hummus next (love hummus!) and maybe some puréed Cauliflower (there are some great recipes on Pinterest). I had some mashed potatoes today, but those are like a treat for me because of the high carb/low Protein counts.
Also eating Greek yogurt, low fat cottage cheese and sugar free lime Jello. Those all make nice little Snacks.
Good luck! This is a hard one to navigate, but still a billion times better than the liquid phase.
