  1. Good luck! I'm right there with you. 21 lbs away... was 289 when banded August 4th. It is getting REALLY hard lately. No fill at last appointment and trying to keep it going ;_)
  2. Banded August 4 at 289 lbs. Now 222. I'm happy with progress so far -but so much more to go. Takes effort every day....but Dr told me I'm doing great! I go in Wed for another check/possible fill.
  3. Took until third fill to feel restricted at all. Before that I made a pact to exercise every day which I have been doing and my husband has helped with kid/house to make it happen. That made a difference I'm sure. Try counting calories or WW or some other "diet" plan. The band will help you to do this easier... I'm counting calories and not feeling hungry now. Good luck.
  4. After my last fill it was tougher to find good things... I live on: Cottage cheese. Cream of wheat. Squash (any kind mushed up) or well cooked cauliflower with tomato sauce and ff cheese. Tunafish with ff mayo. Beans and brown rice. Frozen low cal meals (most kinds are fine). String cheese/babybel light. Hummus. Rice cakes. Soups!
  5. How many calories are you eating every day? Are you exercising/walking more than usual? 5-10 lbs a month is good progress.... I would not worry. It took me about three fills to feel restricted.
  6. Thanks! Yes, the band has really helped... very hard work still but I'm getting there
  7. We bought a treadmill and my husband and I both go on it daily. Also use 5lb hand weights routine. I can watch my shows at night without an interruptions... it has worked out well so far. I can see at some point wanting to join a gym for variety but we are good for now.
  8. I was banded on August 4th of this year in CT. I've lost 60 lbs as of today. I'm feeling well and working my band each and every day. I'm still pretty motivated but some days are tough! Still a long ways to go but am feeling a lot better. Got into my old W16 jeans recently which was cool.
