I am one year out (Surgiversary was Oct 3), and I saw a cool idea I was inspired by, so I saved all my jeans and took an image of them all. Biggest was size 20, smallest (current) size 4. Needless to say I should have taken stock in Old Navy!

Here's my before & after as of this morning--sorry for the undies:

At 300lbs, I thought 170/5'11" was ambitious but now that I'm here I think I could stand to lose another 20-30lbs. I THINK a lot of it is loose skin (my thighs are now made of pugs), but honestly I can't really tell, maybe I'm just making excuses for still being tubby lol. When is too early to start looking into plastics?? (not that I could afford it but a girl can dream....)
Having a personal moment of silence for my booty disappearing. You will be missed. Thank you for being a sacrifice to the weight loss deities.
That's all I got, just wanted to share this victory with someone

I'm feeling really proud tonight. The first picture was taken a few days before my surgery on 7/7/17. The pic in the black dress is from today. This was an old dress I'd given up hope on ever wearing again. I'm not quite where I want to be in it yet (or maybe it just feels weird being so 'exposed' in a dress), but I felt really proud of this NSV and wanted to share it gets easier, with each passing day. Hang in there everyone!

I was sleeved on 11/01/16 and weighed 320lbs. I have been obese my entire life and today my BMI changed to overweight. I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited to be overweight. My weight as of today was 185.7 lbs and I couldn’t be happier having had VSG surgery. I will be 11 months post op on 10/1 and my life has changed so much in these 11 months.

I haven't been on this forum in forever so thought I'd make a post. :-)
I will be 9 months post op in 3 days after being sleeved on 11/21/16. I started the WLS process on April 11, 2016 after basically being overweight my entire life. At my highest weight I was 398 pounds wearing a size 28W pant and 4X top. I lost 100 pounds over a few years and would always regain and lose down to around 300 after that. In Feb 2016 my PCP told me my blood work showed that I was just points away from being diabetic (runs in my family) and that unfortunately my BP meds were no longer working even though they were now at the highest dose I could go. She said if things didn't change drastically and quickly I may not see my 40th birthday. (My family has a history of heart issues and death before 40). I had already completed a full year supervised diet and workout program and had lost and regained the same 20 lbs. My body was just happy between 280 and 300. She suggested WLS and I had my first consult a few months later. At the consult I weighed in at 298.6 pounds and was wearing a size 24W pant and 3X top. After my 7 months waiting period due to insurance requirements I was sleeved on November 21, 2017. This morning I weighed in at 175 pounds and I am in a size 12 pant and can wear both a women's L top or a Juniors XL. I am off my BP meds, my blood work is amazing and I just feel so much better. I turned 33 this year and have 4 children and feel better now than I did in my 20's pre kids lol.
Anyways here are some before/after pics. Some are highest weight to now and some are post op to now

I am pleased to say that I have reached my goal, yaaayyy. My goal weight was 150 lbs but I weighed myself this morning and I am 149.8 lbs. This has been a hard journey mentally but for me( many of you know I have gone thru a divorce as well ). My starting weight was 242lbs, day of surgery 12/5/16 I was 219 lbs, and 8 months later I am 149.8 lbs. 7 lbs away from almost losing 100 lbs. I feel so good right now about myself. Not just because of how I look but how I feel inside. I'm starting to love me flaws and all. I am working on the mental side of things with prayer and supplication. God is a healer and I'm trusting him to keep me. I thank all of you on this site for your support , it has been epic on this journey. I so truly appreciate you. The encouragement I received from total strangers has far outweighed what I received from family and friends. Thank you again. Hope u like the pics.

I hate that my before picture looks like a mug shot. My mom made me take it the night before my surgery. I remember being cranky because frankly I was starving after my two week pre-op diet and because I normally avoided full body shots at all costs. Looking back now, I wish I would've taken more before pictures. I am 15 months post-op and I admit that the number on the scale isn't quite as low as I had originally wanted. As a 25 year old with no children, I look like I've had 10+ kids when I'm naked - so I always wear clothes. While I'm thankful beyond words that I had the opportunity to have this surgery, I feel a little disappointment. I prayed my whole life to be "skinny", I felt that this quality about myself is what kept me from being truly happy. If I were skinny, I could make a lot of friends and find a man who wasn't ashamed to be seen with me. Now I get more positive attention from men and more negative attention from women, mainly those whom themselves are currently overweight. Basically, the guys who previously wouldn't give me the time of day are suddenly more interested in what is under my clothes than what is inside my brain and the girls I would normally be drawn to befriend look at me like an outsider. I am terrified to put myself out there and date because inevitably the clothes must come off and I don't think I could bear that kind of rejection. To say it has been an adjustment is a massive understatement. I used to be the fat girl with the cute face that made people laugh... I got along with everyone because I could never say no or stand up for myself. I feel like the same person inside, but I don't want to be that girl anymore.
Sorry this turned out to be kind of ranty.
I just wanted to share my experience with those who are pre-op or considering. Be realistic with your expectations and goals. At first, the physical results will come fast and with little effort. The biggest obstacle is mental and there's no way to prepare yourself for that.
    Much love to everyone!

    Hello fam,
just a Lil update on my life . 7 months post op. I was sleeved Dec 5. I am officially divorced now. I am happy n really enjoying me in this new bod. The surgery wasn't the reason for my divorce ,my husband was a caterer cheater , lol. But the surgery made him feel that now I was a threat in the marriage because I was getting attention . But it was his insecurities n lied that kept him from appreciating the woman he had. So , hell with him, I'm single as a dollar bill now.
I am 7 mos post op and down 90 lbs ( 89.7 to be exact). I weigh 153 lbs and I am 5'7. I now wear a size 4 in women's clothing and even fit into size 2 Vera wang dress today, NSV for me. My surgeon set my goal at 150 lbI feel so good about the choice I made to have this surgery and I would do it 10 more time if I had to. Enjoy the pics and good lock to everyone .
