  1. It depends on person and size before I think. I had bypass 10/3 stats below Hw January 292 Pre op diet mid Sept 261 Sw 10/3 251 Monday's weigh in 226 So 25 lbs in 2 months. I'm not sweating the slow loss cuz never in my life could I loose 66lbs in less than a year. I feel great and I haven't seen a size 16 since high school and I'm 38 Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  2. They do have a lot of carbs. I had Italian pre op which was good. Tried Asian one the other day it was gross. My fiance eats almost anything and agreed it wasn't good. We threw it out. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App

  4. I was close to 300 292 in January 251@ surgery 10/3 today 226. I still dont "see" the difference but scales and clothes don't lie. I wear belts I had that never fit the first hole now on the last. Jeans 24 now a 16w. Tops 24-26 now a 14-16. I was an 18 in high school. So at 38 this is so different. One day my eyes will catch up. 5. I am 2 months out there are very few things I cant tolerate. Cucumber for instance on salad. I can't eat as much but still enjoy dinners out about 3 times a week and we eat at church every Wed. I eat slower and it's amazing how much time I have for conversation when I'm not stuffing my face. Lol. Like others said take home leftovers. I normally box most of my dinner up before I even start then it's normally enough for us both to have lunch the next day.
  6. Went to seminar late January initial visit Feb first weight visit march 14th. Date set in Sept surgery 10/3. Around 9 months. It flies by though Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  7. It gets better. I walked away from a similar situation 7 years ago. Took me 5 years to even file a divorce because I didn't want him knowing where I lived. I grew in that time and learned to love this beautiful person I am. This January I started this journey. Surgery 10-3. There is lots of support here. I just wanted you to know it gets oh so much better. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  8. I'm 8 weeks out. Been working about 4 hours in the mornings and then 8 third shift. Feeling swelled rings and socks tighter than usual. Exhausted and not getting enough rest. Anyone else have this problem. I'm thinking it may just be lack of rest and stress Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App

  11. Most insurance require it so I don't think you can finish early. My 6 months was more like 9 from start to finish. Because the consultation didn't count in Feb. So mid March thru Sept counted as my weigh in 6 months then mid Sept had pre surgery consultation then 2 weeks liquid preop. Surgery 10-3. Mine was by pass but could have done it lap or sleeve Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App

  13. Diabetic most of my adult life. Regulated w metformin and byderion. Then just metformin. Since surgery no meds but Thursday it was in the 40s. Today just said low. Assuming lower than 40s. I had some carbs to bring it up. It happened a lot before surgery, but is it common after? Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App

  19. Turkey and green Beans. No fear of eating desert because I made pecan pie and can't have nuts yet, plus not crazy about it. Future ma in law is doing all the cooking except that. They know I had surgery. The very few who do, so nothing but love and support. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  20. Mine were already saggy in my arms. I feel it has gotten worse since surgery. I'm 38 but not too concerned from it. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  21. I started dating my fiance in April. I had been planning this since January. I said nothing at first. I had other battles to deal with. When I did tell him he tried to talk me out of it, but for fear something would go wrong. He's been my rock my biggest supporter and fan. Took his vacation off to help me when I had surgery and proposed 6 days after. Every person is different and you will know when the time is right to tell who ever. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
