  1. So funny you say that. Every tiny bite of bread type products I've tasted since surgery all taste like uncooked dough. This is a wonderful thing as bread was a huge downfall for me. In the 8.5 months since surgery I've only had a few very tiny bites and they have all tasted gross. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Me too pretty much. 2. Saw my best friend first time since September. Had surgery 10-3 we met at David's bridal she walked past me didn't know it was me til I turned around and said oh my goodness you've lost a lot of weight. Mind you she knew about surgery we just hadn't seen each other. Buying a bra 2 sizes smaller. Coat I bought in January I pulled out. Could put 2 of me in it I think. Ready for Christmas party Friday wearing a red dress 3 sizes smaller this Christmas. Best of all, I didn't do it. Working third last night baked goodies, cocoa, and m&ms. Wanted them ate zero of them. Had my 4am Protein shake chocolate fix instead. Today just another shake, and my tuna for lunch and crystal light. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  3. I have had no desire for rice either. I used to love a home made biscuit. Tried one taste. Tastes like uncooked flour blah Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App

  11. I was told after first post op visit which was a week after discharge. I was also told it was because you may not get enough Water in and be dehydrated which could make you pass out. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App Was also told that as well but didn't take pain meds after hospital Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  12. I think regardless of age you should be allowed a kids meal. It's less food for a smaller price no matter who eats it Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  13. What snacks and foods high protein low carb do you enjoy or tried and didn't like? Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  14. I am 9 weeks post op and want to work out badly. My problem is when to find the time. What little spare time I have aside from work, about 40 hours between Tuesday and Thursday. Church 3x a week, I do take karate 2x a week. More strengthening not any cardio, and out of town on weekends, I can't find time. I'm exhausted from work and little sleep. Tomorrow I take my b12 shot, hoping it will help some. Anyone else have similar issues? Solutions? Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  15. You look amazing. They say it takes about a year for your eyes to catch up. I went from a 24 to a 16 since October I don't see what everyone else does either. I've read to look at just body pics and not your face. Your mind recognizes your face and puts the past images with it. Just a thought Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  16. Im 9 weeks out rny and feel great. Actually helping my fiance move in a couple weeks. Would already have done it but busy with work Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App

  18. In my case has nothing to do with weight loss but surgery. 3 this year surprised I have any hair at all. I haven't noticed it as yet this time around but I'm only 9 weeks out. Good to know it isn't permanent though Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  19. Pets are so different than most people they love us at our best and worst unconditionally. The only time my dogs ever get mad at me is bath time. I lost my sweet cheesecake last year right before thanksgiving. At 25 she had a long good life but was still hard to let her go. Prayers for you in your time of loss. 20. My dr said not til I healed fully at least a month that was in my own hot tub pool I would think longer in the ocean Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  21. Prayers for both of you having surgery today. It's not selfish to want to be healthy and around for your kids. I lost my mom last Dec and that was my get healthy wake up catalyst that boosted my journey. Had surgery 10/3. You will do fine Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  22. I'm not offended nor am I a food addict, but some people are. Thats just the way it is. For some it isn't an excuse. It's a struggle for everyone it's not the same. I ate like I was supposed to. Straws on the other hand I used one by accident and panicked because surgeon said don't do it but didn't say why. Called my dr but until they called back I asked others. Only to be told by the dr office, oh some people have issues with straws but if you don't it's ok. Not everyone has a "jerk" to keep them in line either. Just a thought if your tired of seeing the same post over and over why bother to waste time reading them or precious time venting a post. Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  23. It wasn't that long but 8 weeks to get regular and not take anything except colace Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  24. May need an enema then try the other things on a regular basis. It took about 8 weeks to get straight after my rny Sent from my 5054N using the BariatricPal App
  25. Do whats best for you and if your pcp doesnt agree get another one. I didn't go through my pcp they had a weight loss seminar I went to and went from there. I had diabetes (no more) on metformin and a Weekndek shot. High bp(gone). Pain in back and legs sciatica( mostly gone) took baclofen, lyrica, both 3x a day and oxycodne 4-5 a day. Now I may take the pain med 2x a month. Pcos. Cervical cancer from it and in the end 6 months before surgery uterine cancer that led to a hysterectomy in June. I am 9 weeks out. Everyone tried talking me out of it. Especially with the 2 surgeries already this year. People who actually love you will love you still, even when you don't live your life like they think. Those who don't probably never did. My fiance was against it. His was fear of loosing me that's it. He's my biggest supporter and fan now. He even keeps me on track. You have to live and be around for your kids. If you feel this will help then you should. As a participant under his insurance you don't need his permission. If you have been led to believe that I would evaluate that situation. From a woman who lived in and survived getting out of a controlling abusive relationship.
