    Adhesive reaction

Sleeved 9/6/16! The same thing happened to me. My doctor ended up giving me hydrocortisone with a steroid in it and it went away. Nothing else worked. Good luck
  2. sleeved 9/6/16. Always extremely heavy with heavy clotting before surgery. Post was light for the first month then back to normal with less clotting. I found that Barlean’s evening primrose oil capsules helped tremendously with cramping. Read into it. It works.
  3. My doctors office told me I can take Advil as long as it’s in gel form. Ask. I do it only when i need it. Tylenol doesn’t work for me. Sleeved 9/6/16. CW155 Lost 122
  4. Sleeved September of 2016. The best way for a smooth transition is not to rush into the next steps. Liquids go to thicker liquids ( protein drinks, yogurt, apple sauce, pudding), to soft foods. I survived on refried beans, soft scrambled eggs. A lot of ideas for your stages on Pinterest. Good luck .
  5. I was sleeved September of 2016. I still have them. Not as bad but still have them.
  6. I was sleeved September of 2016. Please trust me when I say that it will get better. I felt the same way...it gets so much better. Good luck to you and keep your head up.

    Protein Shakes

Premier protein was my go to drink. Pinterest has great recipes for premier protein shakes. I am a year and two months post surgery and I can't drink them anymore. The smell makes me nauseous.

    Can sugar substitutes be avoided?

I didn't want them. Everything seemed so sweet after I started introducing more foods into my diet. I don't think you will want or need sweeteners or sugars. Taste buds changed drastically for me. Sleeved 9/6/16 SW 267 CW 150
  12. I had the same thing happen. I had an allergic reaction to the glue. I tried everything for the itch. The only thing that helped was a prescription hydrocortisone cream with a steroid in it. Good luck Sleeved 9/6/16 -267 CW 150

    Hives

Yes, I did. I had an allergic reaction to the glue they used. The only thing that worked was a prescription of a hydrocortisone cream with a steroid in it.

    Hospital bag

Robe to walk around in. The staff makes you walk around the floor to move your body and it's cold.

Stomach pain at 6 weeks out?

The first looks like mine did. I ended up having an allergic reaction to the glue they used. It was itchy and red. The 2nd picture you should have checked as soon as possible. My incisions weren't covered. Could get infected. Good luck to you.

Thank you for the information! I watched your video and I appreciated your perspective on things. Everyone has their favorite way of traveling don't worry on the critical comments. I was sleeved 9/6/16. I haven't been on a cruise post surgery yet but feel better about it now.

    September 2016 Post VSG Updates

Hi, I was sleeved 9/6/16 and I ended up with low iron. Mine was at 11. I was taking all my supplements, spacing the calcium and iron every two hours. I still ended up with a severe iron deficiency which according to my surgeon it's not common for sleeve procedure. I had no energy. I ended up having iron infusions. Worked. I have a ton of energy. This was 2 months ago and my numbers are up. I get more blood work done and to see if I need another infusion. You may need to do that. Good luck

    Hair loss?

@Loviedovie I made a recommendation on one of your other posts. Can't prevent it from happening just take sips and protein and I also bought a hair fiber filler powder that you can put in the thinning areas on Amazon. Helped so much.

    Hair loss

If you search this site and enter hair loss you will find so much information on it and all the different experiences people have had with it. Everyone is different and it is going to happen. Sleeved 9/6/16 and my hair fall out just slowed down. About 50% has fallen. I bought a natural shampoo for thinning hair so it's gentle on what I have left. I would stay away from the chemical shampoos that promise hair growth and take your supplements and protein. I also added evening primrose (capsule) to my Supplement routine. It has helped me. My doctor said when your body goes into shock and is deprived of nutrition for long periods of time you hair will fall. Once it stabilizes it stops. Good luck to you.
